Current Wand: 10", Small-leaved Lime, Puck Fairy Hair. The core was collected by Zoe during a COMC project. Springy. The wand was crafted by Sallow Magewright, a relatively unknown wandmaker who specializes in rare cores and custom wands.

Previous Wand: 11 3/4", Pine, Dragon Heartstring. Has a few decorations but other than that extremely smooth. Springy. This wand Zoe obtained from Ollivanders at age 11.

Physical Description: Zoe has straight chestnut-colored hair that goes to her shoulder blades and no bangs. She has olive green eyes and long eyelashes which she praises, thinking them beautiful.  Zoe has no dimples. She has straight, normal sized teeth which were straightened by magic at a young age by her parents. She has light skin, not too tanned. Fair-skinned by the use of potion, as Zoe hates pimples. She has a small nose and thin lips. Not too tall, Zoe is an average height for her age and weight. Zoe has a feminine build. She is thin (but not unhealthily thin, her mother says Muggle models who are unhealthily thin are disgusting after glancing at a few Muggle fashion magazines while Muggles were reading them and has raised Zoe to believe that) and likes to stay that way. She has no noticeable strange features.

Zoe considers herself pretty and believes others to feel the same. She does not lack self-esteem and always holds herself high, this usually coming with good posture. She walks at a casual pace unless rushed, in which case she does a quite quick fast walk. Zoe is an individual and does not care much for trends, so she never goes out of her way to be in them.

At Hogwarts she always wear proper school attire but outside Hogwarts she enjoys Muggle clothing. Zoe wears dresses and skirts more than pants when given the choice. As house pride she often wears the color blue, but also quite likes purple and green. Zoe has a calm feminine voice and she never speaks too fast or takes forever to talk, maintaining a nice speed that can be understood pretty easily. However, when excited or nervous she talks very quickly.

Personality Description: Zoe is very nice. She will always help a friend in need, usually no matter the task. Though, she does have common sense, and will not do something foolish or wrong. She has a good understanding of the law from her father and the importance of it and is not quick to break it. She does, however, look for loopholes when confronted with it. She has a quick wit and has found ways to get around laws occasionally if needed.

Zoe is very smart and treats school seriously, always trying to get on the good sides of teachers by trying her hardest and not sassing them or giving them a hard time. Not to say she is this way with everyone. She can be the worst of enemies with the right provocation. Zoe has been taught by her father to respect anyone and everyone unless they have done something horrible or do not show respect themself. Those who are rude or mean to her or nice people instantly get on her bad side. Zoe knows ways to get revenge, whether it be spell, potion, or otherwise, and is quick to do so. She holds negative respect for all Slytherins, unless they prove themselves a decent person. She claims them "heartless cheating non-magic folk haters", which isn't untrue. Zoe herself holds high respect for Muggles. She is one of those non-average witches. From her Muggle-born father to her Muggle friend (who believes that Zoe simply goes to a boarding school every year) she respects Muggles and Muggle-borns a lot, enough to call them "non-magic folk" from respect. She feels that Muggles and wizard are very much the same, only using different things to solve the same problems. Muggles use technology, wizards use magic. She also holds respect for house elves and believes that they should be free. Her own house elf, Lily, is a free elf by her father's demand (who has a strong opposition for slavery and taught his daughter the same) and feels she is more of an older sister than a house maid.

Zoe will defend anyone who is being mistreated, Muggle, wizard, or otherwise. It doesn't matter to her, they are all people. Zoe is rarely rash, only being rash when blinded by complete anger. She is usually calm and thinks her actions through before performing them, but can get extremely angry at times. When she does, you better watch out. Whatever provoked her is in for trouble. This often ends up with her getting in trouble as well as she does not think through how teachers will react to what she does. Though she doesn’t sass teachers, she will sass students she doesn’t care for. Zoe’s pretty good with words and can cleverly insult someone else. However, she never out-and-out bullies anyone, that’s just wrong in her opinion. She is sometimes a little forgetful and usually checks to see if she has what she needs before going places to make sure she is prepared.

Zoe is very self-confident and has a lot of self-esteem, but she never lets it go to her head. She was not raised vain and continues not to be. She does not like vain people, as they usually do not give others the respect they deserve because they think they are better. Zoe loves to tinker with trying to make spells and enchanted objects, inspired by her father. Whenever she gets an idea, she tries to work with it. She hasn’t yet given up, even if nothing has quite turned out exactly as she would have liked. Zoe in general doesn’t give up much unless she feels depressed and hopeless. When she does anything she puts her full effort into it. She is usually full of energy, never being lethargic unless she is extremely tired, in which case she hardly puts energy into anything.

History: Zoe Torret was born in a suburb of London with her mother, Joy Torret, and her father, Edward Torret. Her mother was a Healer in St. Mungo's and her father had just begun work at Wizenmagot. Both loved and cared for their new daughter. However, since they both had jobs they had to find extra help, some sort of nanny. The best option was a house elf. So they got a house elf, a girl named Lily. Edward felt all house elves should be free after learning about slavery in his years before Hogwarts and insisted that their house elf was freed. At first Lily refused but after a few weeks of persuasion from Edward and even Joy a little, she agreed and was freed immediatly. Though Lily at first didn't accept the hosptality of the Torrets, she warmed up as the months went by. By the time Zoe was around 18 months old Lily wore nice Muggle clothes fitted for an elf, had her own nice room, and let others cook for her. No matter what, she kept working for the Torrets from loyalty.

When Zoe was 3, a lot changed. Edward was forced to go into hiding and Joy and Lily were left to care for Zoe. It was harder for her, Lily, and Zoe without him. Joy feared for herself, her husband, her daughter, and her elf. But, they were able to make it through. Edward rejoined his wonderful wife and daughter and Hogwarts was still where Zoe would attend wizarding school. He got back his job at Wizenmagot and everything went back to the way it should be. It was lucky the horrible events that had taken place had not affected Zoe much, as she was so young. The only day that really effected her was the day of the Battle of Hogwarts, where Joy left to fight and Lily and Zoe were kept the whole night worrying.

Two years later something else big happened, Zoe met Rebecca Grambour. It was instant friendship for the two, even if it meant having to lie to Rebecca and her parents. While she was in kindergarten, she and her parents fed Rebecca stories of how she was homeschooled. They, of course, had to hide Lily from Rebecca. The elf did not particularly like this, but she did it because Rebecca meant so much to Zoe. It was hard to keep making up stories, but her parents were able. The two were still great friends and Zoe was given a pathway to learning about the Muggle world. She used this resource well, learning how Muggle mail and telephones and cameras worked.

By seven Zoe was a lot more comfortable around Rebecca and began to weave a bit of magic into their friendship, how Muggles thought of magical creatures. She was able to enjoy a subject she somewhat knew about with her dear friend. That Christmas Zoe was given a present that she has kept since, a doll of a fairy, Muggle styled of course.

By age 8 her parents had taught her most of what they valued, respect for all including Muggles, care and kindness to all creatures and helping those in need, doing what was fair and just, vanity or too much self-confidence can go to your head, never underestimate anyone, stand up for what you believe in, never let your anger or jealousy get the best of you because it can have negative effects, and some other morals. Zoe’s parents were always focused on raising a daughter with all morals so she didn’t have to make horrible mistakes by not following them.

At age 9 Rebecca began to start understanding politics more and gave Zoe all the latest news when she asked for it. Though Zoe was learning about the Muggle world, she knew a lot more about the magical world as both her parents belonged to it and raised her within it. It was in that year that Zoe had her first time of using accidental wandless magic. Rebecca had a secret she refused to tell Zoe and she got so mad she performed a type of magic she didn’t know off, something similar to a Stunning Spell but weaker and not as controled. It left both girls slightly dazed, Rebecca from the spell and Zoe from using magic she wasn't used to.  Zoe covered up saying she had slapped Rebecca and she was very sorry, never again thinking about what had happened or telling anyone else what had happened.

When Zoe turned 10 she got another friend for life, her cat Snowy. A mixed-breed kitten (half balienese, fourth russian blue, fourth kneazle, though she takes her looks after her balinese half), she was Zoe's new life companion. She and Rebecca trained her to do many things, Snowy was very smart.

Age 11 was when Zoe began to attend Hogwarts. She was thrilled, finally being able to go to a school she had heard about and wanted to go to for so long. The Grambours were informed Zoe would be going to a boarding school for “middle” school and “secondary” school. Zoe got her first wand and learned a few spells from her father as well as some potions from her mother. At school she was sorted into Ravenclaw, the house of her mother and the house her parents expected her to be sorted into. Zoe was a great student, receiving excellent grades like she hoped to. Zoe tries to get the Professors to like her by being kind to them, sometimes kissing up to them. Zoe also made some friends and is nice and helpful to others, though almost all of the Slytherin house knows her large hate for them, which she made clear early on. She still kept Rebecca as a friend though and made up Muggle versions of her life at Hogwarts to send to her. From the start she was the best at Charms and the worst at Herbology.  Her Hogwarts life continued through first and second year.

In her third year she had to pick electives and she enrolled herself in Muggle Studies, Arithmancy, and Care of Magical Creatures. She enjoyed these three new classes, loving Muggle Studies the most. It quickly replaced Charms as her favorite class. She got through her third year and is now awaiting her fourth.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Zoe is very intelligent. She wants to learn and enjoys her knowledge. She does not slack homework, using her knowledge to score her good grades. She is very creative, loving her father's enchantments that he makes and attempting to create her own. She has not yet succeeded, but that doesn't stop her from continuing to pour her imagination into trying to make new enchanted objects and, sometimes, even new spells (which she has also never yet made a new one). She has come close, but never fully completed it. Zoe is very witty, sometimes making smart remarks sometimes. She has a good sense of logic, never getting stuck on the riddles the Ravenclaw door gives. She isn't afraid of standing out or being alone, as long as she feels she is doing the right thing she will stand alone for her cause. On top of this, Zoe wanted to be sorted into Ravenclaw.

Writing Sample: (I'll give a RP of Zoe and her father giving her magic training the summer before her first year)

The sun shown into the windows of the living room, lighting the whole room on the bright summer day without the use of a single lamp or candle. Edward Torret and his daughter, Zoe Torret, were clearing an area of living room for magic training. Her father, part of Wizenmagot, had the authority to allow her to use underage magic under his watch. He was able to give her magic training of a few spells with this, which Zoe was most excited about.

Edward drew his wand, brown and red tinged with a spiraled shaft, and waved it. The furniture flew back, neatly creating an empty space. "Alright," he said, turning to Zoe. "This will work well. Draw your wand; I'm going to teach you a spell." He pointed his wand at a quill that was left on the coffee table, summoning it without words. The white quill shot into the air, Edward delicately catching it so as not to bend it.

To say Zoe was excited was an understatement; her smile was wide even to burst off of her face. The girl had been eagerly counting the days until the day would come when her magic training would begin, even if it was just a few spells. She watched her father easily clear the living room, barely reacting. She was used to magic being used like this, both her parents being magic folk. "Alright pa, I'm ready!" Zoe too drew her wand, griping the engraved handle firmly but not too hard.

A smile creased Edward's face. "Very good. Today we will practice the Hover Charm." He dropped the quill onto the ground. It floated down gently, settling onto the hard wood floor.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Zoe is a friendly girl who treats everyone and anyone with respect. She is unafraid to stand up for what is right and uses her knowledge and wit to help her along. She also is friends with a Muggle named Rebecca and thinks Muggles are just as good as any witch or wizard. No matter what, she always seems to have a few tricks up her sleeves when needed. With her cat and wand by her side, she faces Hogwarts and all the surprises and challenges being a witch have to offer.
