The Daily Prophet does not wish to alarm, and so it is with the greatest hesitation that we are obliged to inform the reader that Headmistress of Hogwarts School Analiza Snark is technically missing.[1]

Snark, former Head of the Department of Mysteries and the current Headmistress of Hogwarts School for the last year, was last reported to be abroad with students in Egypt.  She was last seen 26 June by her pupils, but as over three days have passed, we are obliged to report her officially missing.

As we are not in the habit of opinion nor hyperbole, we don't wish to sensationalize this event so early in its development.  If anyone should have any information concerning the whereabouts of Analiza Snark, those people should inform the Department of International Cooperation and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

It is our sincerest hope that she'll turn up soon.  And we have no reason do doubt that she will.  At this time.
