City & Country of Birth: Dublin, Ireland
Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: Halfblood

Physical Description: Odette stands at slightly less than average height for a girl her age at just under 5'3. She is slim and toned through ample quidditch practise. She often sports a little tan as she likes to be outside wherever and whenever she can, she tans easily also, through many summers spend battering her skin in the sun while being out on her broom all day.
She is blessed with a deep brown eyes and hair to match, that flows over her shoulders and sports a natural wave which typically curls when it gets wet. During quidditch season, Odette is typically seen with her hair up and out of the way, though she does like to wear it down whenever she's not training.
The same principal applies to her dress, practical clothes such as jeans and t shirts are usually worn outside of school hours, though for the right occasion, miss Ford can scrub up quite well. Usually to the surprise of the majority.
Personality Description: If there is one thing that Odette Ford is known for, it's her erratic temper. She can fly off the handle incredibly easily, particularly if her intelligence comes into question (she has something of an inferiority complex about it), or any member of her family is brought under scrutiny.
To Odette's friends, she is fiercely loyal and would fearlessly stand up for them in a heartbeat. She also loves her family to death, even if she would never admit it.
She is not afraid to say what she thinks and her mouth can get her into a lot of trouble through speaking without prior thought. The same goes for her actions, getting herself into fights and duels is not something uncommon for the girl, and consequently, neither is detention.
She loves to win and is not above blatant cheating, she only see's this as a means to an end. Odettes simplified logic and morality of rule breaking is a very grey area for her and her friends.
Odette has a good relationship with her big brother Dean. Since he graduated and began his professional quidditch career, Odette misses him at school, particularly when she could do with some back up. Luckily she can still rely on her cousin Lucas for that... Mostly. Not that she would ever admit to needing backup from anyone, particularly anyone related to her.
Odette never really saw eye to eye with her cousin Caitlyn. While Odette is fairly tomboyish, Caity always seemed to be completely the opposite, leading them to never really 'click'. Though having said that, should Caity ever be in any serious trouble, Odette would be there in an instant.
Her relationship with her Lucas is slightly more stable, being the same age made them hang out much more growing up, sharing their interest in quidditch also helped the pair bond. Though they both share many qualities, they can also have their moments, as most family members can. Particularly when Odette's temper get's involved.
Something at the core of who Odette is without her even realising it, is the belief that she will die young. A notion that somehow developed over time rather than a stark realisation, in the rare occasions that you might get a serious conversation out of the girl, one might pinpoint this belief as an undercurrent for some of her more outrageous behaviour... If you're going out soon enough, you might as well do things big while you can, right?
History: Family:
Dean Ford - Brother
Lucas Norwood - Cousin
Caitlyn Norwood - Cousin
Odette grew up in Dublin, Ireland to parents Darryl and Marissa Ford. her family was rather large yet close, she and her brother often getting turfed around to her cousins' house, where she would spend time with Lucas and Caitlyn Norwood, while her parents got some brief respite from their time consuming children. Odette was always something of a trying child, fierce temper tantrums and daring adventures never far away.
Her mother, being a quidditch coach and her brother clearly destined to go pro after showing off his beating skills at school, meant that it was only natural for Odette to take up the interest. As so happened, did her cousin Lucas. Both being the same age and sharing such a passionate interest allowed the pair to develop quite the friendship while growing up, planning ridiculous adventures and then trying to execute them and never quite being successful in their hair-brained schemes. Much to the exasperation of their parents.
Odette was always something of a daddy's girl and feared that she would miss her muggle father desperately when she left for Hogwarts, and she was right to an extent. That step off the platform and onto the train was heart wrenching... And then she was instantly taken in by the magic. And never looked back.
During her first few years at Hogwarts, Odette quickly began to see what she enjoyed learning about and what she didn't, what she was good at, what she wasn't and who she liked, and who she really really didn't. Never one to worry about homework deadlines or getting the best mark in class, Odette was framed as something of a 'bad influence' early on by some of the teaching staff. A label which the girl wore with pride and used more than once to coax some of her more timid friends into after hours pursuits from time to time.
Odette applied for the house quidditch team in her second year and made the reserves in which she managed to play a total of one game as chaser during the season. Third year was when she managed to secure a regular chaser spot. Though her place quickly became precarious with her somewhat boisterous playing style. Currently she holds the title for the most fouled player in the last 20 years at Hogwarts. Some players resent her for the number of penalties she gives away a match; something the captain constantly has to warn her about. Of course, Odette takes no notice...
Now, Odette is something of a controversial kid. She's largely either loved or hated. And has her fair share of friends and enemies. And a lot of her enemies are of her own making. Luckily for her, she can largely take care of herself as she excels in wand work, though the any subjects that are not Charms or DADA, leave something to be desired... Perhaps she could do with some extra tutoring...?
How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Odette is a lionheart, loyal and brave, she would gladly take a bullet for anyone she values, while gladly shooting that bullet anyone on the opposite end of that spectrum. She lives a life full of passion, and her heart is worn firmly on her sleeve. She's bold and opinionated and willing to stand up for what she stubbornly believes is right. .. And rules are for losers.
Writing Sample: This is a sample from another rp where I played an adult Odette:
Odette laughed, "And I'm sure she just fell into your arms when you told her that!" Dean's antics never grew old. Well okay they did. But Odette hadn't heard then in a long time, so for the moment, they were novel again and a total breath of fresh air.
She'd been to meet up with her brother and catch some lunch, having a brief catch up before bringing him home to see the kids... That and she also had to tell him that she was pregnant... Again.
God it sucked being the child barer.
So Odette had driven them, much to Dean's dismay, mainly because he LOVED driving like a maniac, and so of course, did Odette. 'speed is our friend!' they both said to their parents, every time they'd totalled another car between them back home.
Strolling up the front door, Odette fumbled around in her bag for her key, glancing up to her big brother as she did so, "The twins are gonna be SO psyched to see you, you have no idea." Okay well maybe he did. this was Dean Ford they were talking about. If women didn't automatically swoon or fall to his feet when he walked by... He generally assumed that something was wrong with the world. So excited four year olds were just a given really.
Finally having found her key, Odette shoved it into the lock and turned, opening the front door with a satisfying 'click'. "BOYS! WE'RE HOME!" She called through, the weird pale dusty fog that seemed to be floating in the entranceway...
What the frig had they done now? "Turner?" she called, hearing something of a frantic commotion from in the kitchen. Glancing behind her to Dean, she beckoned for him to follow her into whatever devastating scene she was about to witness.
And when they walked around the corner, there it was... Oliver looking like a snow man, covered head to toe in ice sugar... or flour... or whatever the frig it was. Darryl slightly less covered than his brother, and both of them at Daddy's legs reaching out for some kind of treat.... John had been abandoned at the other end of the kitchen, and was now repetitively sneezing, causing little white bursts of flour to erupt from his face.
Odette took in the scene. ".... .... .... Dean's here boys." she said, weirdly calmly before strolling past the kitchen and straight into the lounge, leaving the extremely messy twins charging for their uncle squealing excitedly.
Sum up your character in one paragraph: Odette Ford is something of a firecracker. If you haven't heard of her, you've probably 'heard' her in one way or another. Whether that is the smart comment from back of the classroom; the precursor to the duel later, or a full on rage in the corridor, or the one who started the food fight in the great hall. Odette is full of passion and energy and of course, as such a bad influence, never too far away from some kind of adventure/stunt/detention.
