Physical Description:

Sarah is of average height for a sixteen year old, standing around 5ft 5. She has a petite, ballerina like features.  With a small nose and large eyes.  She's rather skinny, but fit. Sarah has long legs which she believes are her best feature. For this reason when given the option of a skirt or pants she always chooses skirt.

Sarah's eyes are a greyish blue. Some days they are bright and icy blue, others they are pale and more grey.

Sarah has soft, light almost pale skin. She doesn't tan and that more than anything bothers her. Unlike most in her situation though she doesn't burn easily either which she guesses is a plus. Maybe growing up in LA had something to do with it? To Sarah's dismay she's a little under developed when it comes to the chest area, but she tries not to let it bother her to much.

Her hair is long and bleach blond. Naturally it's just blond but she bleached it, so now its almost white. She loves her hair and usually wears it curly or pulled back into a mess bun, sometimes wearing a hat or bow.

In terms of style think vintage. She loves anything that looks like it came straight from a fifties movie. In terms of colors she likes lighter, more faded shades and colors.

Her basic uniform, because she attends Salem is a faded light purple blouse, a dark grey skirt and matching dark grey tie, purple tights and black dress shoes. She adds her own style to her uniform by wearing purple bows or ribbons in her hair or the odd hat.

Personality Description:

Sarah is to say the least an optimist. She's always looking on the bright side of things and very rarely thinks negatively. Even when she's upset or angry, she's quick to pull herself out of it by thinking of something happy. It takes a lot to bring Sarah down, she's very confident, perhaps a little to confident and can come across as a little vain. Sarah is energetic and somewhat of a social butterfly, loving to meet new people and being as happy and kind as she can. This can sometimes make her seem extremely fake.

Sarah loves to write and has a notebook that she carries around ever where she goes for dreams, lists of things she wants to do, 'what ifs' (For example, "What if I was a famous movie star?" Than she'd write a short story about the day in the life of Sarah, the famous movie star.) Her note books are extremely private and in no way is she going to allow anyone to read from them.

Sarah loves being active. She plays most wizarding and even a few muggle sports in her free time. Her favourite ways to stay active include, Running, Ballet, Surfing and obviously Flying.

Sarah likes to think of herself as a risk taker, she won't hesitate in trying something new.

Her talkative nature can sometimes get her in trouble in class because she has a hard time shutting up, add to that the fact that she has a hard time sitting still and you have yourself enemy number one to all strict teachers.

Sarah is extremely loyal to her friends and very trust worthy, though it takes quite a bit for her to trust you back. Even though Sarah is kind to all she only considers a fair few great friends. The people who do make her ‘best friend’ list she treats like family. She’d do anything in her power for them, with in reason of course.

To people who end up on Sarah’s bad side she tries not to think about them. When she does have to talk to them she doesn’t hide the fact that she doesn’t want to be talking to them. She adds a coldness to her voice and speaks almost as if she’s to good to be there talking to them.

Sarah is a secret die hard romantic. She’s in love with the idea of being swept off her feat and is waiting for the day she meats her prince charming. Despite this though she not very trusting. So even though she’s waiting for her prince charming, she might get paranoid if he actually were to show up.

History:

When Alice Valentine found out she was pregnant, she was over joyed. Alice was told that she couldn’t have children and she beat the odds when she had Sarah. David, Sarah’s father was equally happy. He’d always wanting a child, plus Alice had been so depressesd when she’d been told she couldn’t have children. Being pregnant meant a lot to his wife and he was so happy to see her in a good mood.

When Sarah turned two, family friends of the Valentine’s died leaving their son in the care of Alice and David. Maxwell, or Max, was the same age as Sarah and the two grew up best friends. Even though they looked nothing alike, Sarah having blond hair and light eyes and Max have dark brown hair and dark eyes they always told the kids in their class that they were twins. Some kids even believed them.

When Sarah turned five she experienced her first bout of magic, she found a beached dolphin who was still alive but just barley. Sarah got very sad, and tried to save it by pushing it back into the water. Somehow, she managed to get the large creature, who was much bigger than herself back into the ocean, where it swam away. Sarah has never been able to do so again, but Alice and David tell it every family christmas.

When Sarah was nine, her and Max went rock climbing and Max fell, his harness wasn’t on properly and he broke his leg, Sarah tried to rush down the wall to quickly and cut her hand on a rather sharp rock, She now has a scar running across her palm, but she doesn’t care much about it, saying it gives her character.

When Sarah bought her first wand she was intrigued. Wands were such a fascinating part of a witch or wizards life, creating something like that, that would be amazing. At the school she’d go to the library and take out any book she could find on the subject. She wanted so badly to make a wand. She wanted to experiment with cores, maybe try something no one else had ever tried. If it was a total failed experiment, well... at least she’d know what not to use as a core for a wand. It was around this time that Sarah wrote the ‘what if’ of become a wand crafter.

Sarah is now a senior in the Salem Witches Institute. She writes letters to Max every chance she gets, (Max is a muggle.) Sarah has made lots of new friends. She loves being a witch, but wishes Max could be here with her too. When she graduates she hopes to get a job in wand crafting, maybe be an apprentice to a well known wand crafter.

When Sarah heard about the TetraWizard Tournament she was more than a little excited. She wanted to go instantly. it would be such an amazing opportunity. She was so intrigued by Hogwarts. A war had gone on there not to long ago, the history in that place would be very interesting. Not to mention that european’s had amazing accents. So many ‘what ifs’ had come out of just thinking about the opportunity to go to europe Sarah had almost forgotten about the chance to actually compete.

Of course the idea entertained her. She’d love to be a Salem Champion in the house cup, to have an entire school support you, to potentially win. It all sounded like a dream come true.

Even if she wasn’t competing Sarah would still love to be in Europe. Sarah had heard of a wand crafter who apparently made the best wands in the entire world. What Sarah wouldn’t give to meet him. To ask about his work, even to just look at his wands. Sarah would definitely be in heaven.

How Do You Fit Into Your House School?:

Sarah is extremely active and is very involved with the schools sports. If she’s not on the team, she attends every game to give her support. She’s also quite the spell caster even if she’s not the greatest student.

Writing Sample:

Sarah sat against a tree notebook in one hand and a pen in the other. She was writing a letter to Max as she usually did on Saturdays. She was sitting in her usual spot under one of the many trees on school grounds. When she’d first sat there the sun had been up and the golden rays had warmed her. Now the sun was almost gone, the air was brisk and she was getting rather cold.

Writing this letter was turning out to be a bigger task than she thought it would be. She didn’t want to leave for fear she’d never finish writing but keeping the page lit was becoming a difficult task and she began to shiver making her hand shake as she wrote.

Dear Max,

You’ll never guess whats happening this year, I’m so excited! A group of students from our school is being sent to Hogwarts for the TetraWizard Tournament.

Hogwarts is a famous wizarding school in England. It where that huge war was a few years back. I’m so excited, I hope I get to go... It would be such an amazing opportunity! All the History that that school holds... plus the accents!

The Tetrawizarding Tournament is a tournament in which four schools compete in challenges. The winner becomes very famous and stuff. It should be awesome. Heck, it would be cool to be the schools Champion, don’t you think? Imagine, me, Sarah Valentine competing in a competition like that. It would be amazing. I’d love to do it, I’ll have to add it to my What If’s list.

“What if I became Salem’s Champion in the TetraWizard Tournament.” I’ll write it later.

Anyway, I heard you got into an really cool muggle non-magic university, I’m so happy for you smartie pants.

If I go to England... I won’t be coming home for Christmas break, I’ll be in England. I’ll miss you, but I really wanna go!

Yours truely, Sarah.

Sarah kept rereading the letter. Something about it didn’t sound right. Was she being to talkative about herself? Was it that it almost seemed like she didn’t care about his achievements at all? Was that even what it seemed like?

Sarah really was happy for Max. Of course she was, he was a total genius going into a really cool university, the idea just... well it kind of bored her. He was going to pay for even more school? The idea confused her. Why would he want to?

Sometimes it felt like Sarah and Max were drifting apart. Even the thought terrified Sarah. He was like a brother to her and they seemed to have nothing in common anymore.

Looking up, Sarah noticed the stars had appeared in the sky. She lay herself back, trying to calm her nerves by watching them twinkle. She loved the look of the night sky, loved it so much she almost fell asleep next to it.

A startling bang nearby sent her jumping and clutching her wand. Who’s there? She was about to call out but than realized if it was a teacher, she was in trouble, so she just sat in the dark and waited for whoever it was- or whatever it was to make it’s self known, or go away.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:

Sarah is a vintage loving, social butterfly. She loves to chat and can probably start a conversation with just about anyone. She’s more than a little vain and can come across as fake, but if you like sports she’s the one you’ll want on your team.
