Wand: A nine inch supple spiraled shafted yew wand with a chimera scale core that called to him in an obscure antique shop, with an unknown origin

Physical Description: he is slightly taller then normal, roughly six feet, and is lean, but very powerful. He has long black hair that's often unwashed. His thick, slightly upturn eyebrows give him the that he's constantly questioning things. His eyes are deepset and off setting, with the rare genetic abnormality Heterochromia, his left eye is a bright, vibrant electric blue, and the right a very muted hazel green. His face is alltogether... creepy to many but he off sets that with nearly always having a sincere and very real smile on. Generally girls find him very attractive but due to his slightly ominous aura, tend to stay away. Beneath his robes, his torso and arms are plagued with a multitude of scars, varying in severity, he has gotten so used to these that it leads others to (wrongly) think they are self inflicted.

 At home his dress is very patterned: a random band tee he probably found at a thrift store, a plethora of bracelets and necklaces (a few inappropriate, or just down right dangerous), and pants that are too tight for most people and often torn beyond belief.
At school he is rarely seen out of his uniform, except he tends to disregard the tie all together, and often changes the crest on his robe to whatever he deems fit that day.

Personality Description:  He is a very goofy guy at heart, extremely random and weird, but his past tend to keep him on guard, which means many don't get to see that side of him and only see the quiet reserved stoic side. Due to his looks many people tend to stay away, leaving him with very few friends. The friends he does have he will do anything for, he is very loyal and trustworthy. Due to his oath he has made himself, he is often seen as a "Protector" often standing up for anyone if he believes they deserve it. to this day if he gets really distracted (like while playing bass) he will still permeate his powers and affect his surroundings.

History: His past is one that anyone would beg not to have. He has never known his mother and his father(secretly a squib) would often beat him, leaving him with the many scars that can be seen to this day. As a child, Azaleus could never really control his magical abilities, so they would often permeate out of him and cause a variety of slightly odd things to happen to people and things around him, on seeing this for the first time, his father got enraged and began to beat him. Every time his dad would see something happen, he would go into a fury of pent up aggression and take out his bitterness of never having powers on his son Azaleus. after years of this abuse,, Azaleus made a promise to himself that he still stands by to this day, "I will never harm someone I care about." Azaleus has a younger brother named Trillium (he is also at Hogwarts as a fourth year) who never showed any inept magical powers, so was always the "good" son in his fathers eyes. Music was Azaleus's first passion, often helping him get through his childhood. He was(and still is) hardly ever seen without music in his ears(recently it has been threee owl standard). His prized possession is his bass, which he has been playing since he was eight.  After awhile Azaleus found solace in books, mostly fantasy novels, and often wished he could be a magician and get away from his, "loving family" so upon getting his letter, he was overjoyed. His stay at Hogwarts was fairly mundane but amazing for him, mostly he kept to himself, until he met Envy in his fourth year and she started getting him to come out of his shell slowly. he recently found out he is pretty good with a broom, and considered joining the quidditch team, but decided not to in fear of is anger.  he is often seen arguing with the headmaster's about having to leave over breaks.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Azaleus indeed has a checkered past, and a general darkness within him, but he is highly loyal and good natured at heart. He is what you would consider a, "protector" of sorts.

Writing Sample: Azaleus saunters into the detention room, and quickly scans the faces for the most attractive girl he can find. Once he decides, he slinks towards her and plants himself into the chair next to her.
   "Why hello there, what's your name? Me? I'm Azaleus."
   "heh, I'm Envy, nice to meet you, so what did you do to land yourself in here?
  "Well, officially? Nothing, nothing at all. Unofficially? i got bored today and decided to  use a bit of magic to change this boring crest on these robes, into a cog with a biohazard center, which is kinda my symbol. I change this thing almost daily, but what got me caught in this day, is that i decided to change it back each time i walked by any of the head honchos, which ment using A LOT of illegal magic."
 
Sum up your character in one paragraph: He is a goofy, weird kid, who tries his hardest to make the best of a bad situation. He had some anger issues coming into Hogwarts, but since has gotten them under control, even though to this day it tends to keep people at a distance from him. He is very random and besides dueling, he loves screaming and playing bass for the band, "Second Thought" with Envy.
