At start of action, Theodora is preparing to enter her hearing to be released from Azkaban.  So no.

    Wand Description:
14 inches, a knotted oak branch with a dragon heart-string core.

    Physical Description:
She finds her nose overly large.  She has pinkish skin that’s prone to reddening; and blue eyes, dulled by black-framed eye glasses.   Her two sandy eyebrows arch and furrow ad nauseum above the spectacles.  Her forehead and cheeks bear premature worry lines from a life time of harsh scrutiny of herself and others.  Her hair is only slightly lighter than her eyebrows, and darkens towards her nape.  She wears it back, most often, in a low ponytail or hasty bun.

She is angular and uncomfortable looking, with a matronly frame.  She wears severe, professional robes with no adornments. And when she goes out, she is always in a pointed witch's hat.

She speaks in precise, clipped tones.  And her penmanship is absolutely superb.

    Personality Description:

Theodora is intense and severed, but always according to protocol.  True, the protocol she acts on is a warped version of methodical order, but she never deviates from a standard of professional practice, especially when performing acts of a criminal nature.  She is savagely inhuman, mercy not being a part of protocol.  Her adherence to her codes of conduct make her an unstoppable force.  An administrative assassin.   An office overlord of revenge.

She is able to find associates easily because her word is unwaveringly guaranteed.  She delivers every promise she makes.  She is professional with her associates, but arrogant and dismissive to any human emotion or error.  On the other hand, she considers their loyalty also assured - she knows better than they how unpleasant it is to be fired.

Clearly, Kingstreet is a witch with a broken mind.  A life lived with such deliberate order, years of toiling to categorize and alphabetize all the mis-aligned bits of society, was more than her psyche could handle.  Conviction by Wizengamot for the fruits of her new madness, and the subsequent ten years in Azkaban solidified her new brain and it's bizarre new systems.  All of them based on revenge.

    History:

Born to halfblood book-maker and muggleborn librarian, Theodora's early childhood set the stage for a love of systems, order and excellent penmanship.  In fact, she had always been more interested in the actions of a quill writing fine cursive than a wand enchanting deftly.  She was an amiable girl, if not somewhat hot-headed and single-minded.  She was sorted into Ravenclaw in 1962, and was made Prefect her Fifth Year.  She took on Ancient Runes and some deeper Magical Government Classes, forsaking as many courses as she was able that involved anything too messy.

After leaving Hogwarts, she went straight on to study law at the College of Magical Law and Lawyering outside of London in 1970.  She earned a reputation for being a lethal researcher and was the first recipient of the Laywering College Award for Most Intense Pupil.  (She had, of course, headed the selection committee herself.).  She interned at the Ministry of Magic in 1975 and was granted her Liscence of Magical Law in 1976.

Once her foothold in the Ministry was secure, she was a ravenous ladder-climber.  Her abrasive nature often put-off her colleagues, but she delivered!  Some questions were raised early on when Aurors who had perhaps not used diligence in providing for the rights of the accused, were suddenly cleared of all accusation because paperwork was put in proper order.  In the courtrooms, she was merciless and effective.

In the late 1990s, as the Death Eaters began to infiltrate the Ministry of Magic, Theodora Kingstreet did not bat an eye.  She knew better than to get involved, but she pursued her job with the heated diligence to which she was accustomed.  But the weakened state of the Ministry of Magic, the travesties of the muggleborn trials and the chaos into which the Wizarding World had been pitched began to fray her spindly nerves.

The paperwork was never filed.  One winter night in late 1997 she invited Lord Voldemort over for tea.  Of course, this was a delusion of her developing insanity, but during tea, Lord Voldemort announced his desire that she replace Rufus Scrimgeour as Madam Minsiter of Magic.  She promised to arrange for Visitor's passes for him and his Death Eaters.

And so Theodora began to fill out a series of forms that if filed in a fashion and before or behind certain deadlines, would properly unseat Rufus Scrimgeour naming the lawyer Kingstreet his replacement.  But before she could dot the proper T's and cross the proper I's, a clerk at the front desk found the forged Visitor's passes.  An investigation was launched forthwith.

Theodora Kingstreet was tried and convicted swiftly following the Battle of Hogwarts, and sentenced to ten years in Azkaban.  Now, in 2008, she awaits a hearing for early release on the grounds of her cooperation and good behavior.

    Writing Sample:

In a flurry of pinstripe robes and manilla folders, the pain-loving Theodora Kingstreet was indulging herself.

Coming from the offices where she and her fellow legal-mongers spent their days justifying, defending and harassing everyone from aurors, common criminals and the magical aristocracy, Theodora was just about fed up.

Lips pursed and black-rimmed glasses square on her face and hair frantically trying to stay put, her small frame strode onto the the Auror's floor.

"Sign and date!" "Sign and date!" "An 'X' is not a signature!" "Case number, please!" "I can't even read this, mister. You're an auror, not a doctor, for lark's sake." Thus she stormed through the cubicles throwing incomplete, illegible and unacceptable case reports, action requests and miscelleaneus suits back at the ape-like grunts that were aurors. They were the long, hairy arm of magic law, but somehow the importance of paper work escaped them.

"'Limey crook' is NOT proper terminology for 'suspect'!" "Neither is 'dodgy bloke'." "Sign and date!" "It's February, we should be well over with writing '04', by now." "Sign and date!" "MARGINS!"

    One Auror mumbled an apology.

Theodora stopped short when an anomaly occurred. The general Auror populace was generally aware of her and her rampages about procedure and usually paid her no more than a glare or unintelligent, indignant grunt. But this wiry chap had offered something very close to an apology.

"Pardon?" she said cocking her head.  She was somewhat hoping to have gone nose-to-nose with one of the more hulking neanderthals over a faulty report, but this slight young man had peaked some interest. (And she would admit later in her journal that he was not unattractive, for an Auror.) Getting what she could take in the way of conflict she flipped his report around ran her finger along the left hand side.

"When it says 'For Official Use Only', we quite mean it. What is this? A shopping list?"

The young man said something about being in Training and he'd fix it.

Theodora wrinkled up her nose and squinted her eyes in a strange sort of happy smile usually reserved for puppys and beach balls. "You're so agreeable," she said handing him a blank form. "I'll miss that when you get your certification."

As she was talking to him, she'd been unconsciously re-arranging his desk, or all that was in reach. Shifting things to right angles, and making neater stacks. She'd even added a comma in a newspaper clipping to conform with Oxford conventions.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:
    Thedora has excellent penmanship.[/list]
