Routed to Gringott's.June 5Ri --The common belief is that when a first true love contacts you after 10 years of silence, it is no doubt a bad business. Do not be confused. That's a total lie. This is your lucky day.Knowing first-hand your skill with (rather painful and unpleasant) curses, and hearing second-hand of your new vocation in breaking them (from Beit Gaddol's alumni register. Please. I am not that creepy), I have a business proposition for you.I have a friend who is under the effect of an Egyptian curse. It is artifact related, and so it occurred to me that it may be in your realm of expertise. (Though I'm not fully sure what that expertise is yet--I'm sure you'll tell me. Because I'm sure you're already curious. And you never really could walk away from something intriguing.)I'm not sure the protocol and procedures on breaking curses on people though I do hear that breaking curses cast upon artifacts can be a somewhat brutal process. I am not interested in this. If you end up breaking my friend as a part of this deal, please remember that I, too, know a few curses, and I won't be afraid to use them this time.If you are still interested, we can discuss monetary (or other) compensation during a discussion of particulars.I am, etc.Adon Skip to next post Re: Unmarked. I often fear that their records are kept horribly out of date.It is very kind of you to contact me after, as you said, ten years of silence. I will trust that the sudden interest in my professional life means you have either forgiven the incident at the dance or have been hit over the head so many times during your various training programs that you have forgotten all about it. (Judging by your creative use of adjectives to open your letter, I am leaning toward the latter.)Yes, I am currently employed by Gringotts. And yes, I have some experience in dealing with various curses. But I should ask you, segen mishne, why your friend is any of my business. Gringotts does not formally offer help to official representatives of the United Kingdom's Ministry.Perhaps you would like to make your request again on a different letterhead? You may leave out the implied threats this time as well. If you are looking for someone to deal gently with your friend, perhaps you should seek aid for her from an old school friend whose profession involves hugging and kind words rather than breaking curses. All my best,Raizel Cohen Skip to next post Re: Unmarked. You'd see that you got my job title wrong. I'm surprised; I'd always thought you were thorough in your research. I'm also a little disappointed that you've changed so much. There used to be a time you wouldn't narrow things down to only two options. Since you're being so horribly uncreative, I'll do the work and present a third possibility: I'm overlooking past differences in the interest of a current endeavor that I feel you can help with. I refuse to believe that you--being as goal-oriented as you are--would fail to understand that. But, you're right. I will contact my hugging, kind friend from school; she'd probably be more fun to get in touch with, anyhow. Thank you for your input.See you in another 10 years,Adon Eleor Skip to next post Re: Unmarked. I do not have any similar motivation, and since I was the wronged party to begin with, I would think that you'd try a little harder to get into my good graces. You were right when you mentioned compensation. Push that one more next time.Coincidentally, I have business that will take me to London in a few days' time. Let me know where you would like to buy me dinner, and then you can tell me all about how your hugging, kind friend solved the problem for you.I am looking forward to hearing you gloat. It will be just like old times.Raizel Skip to next post Re: Unmarked. Reply #4 on October 16, 2011, 09:30:55 PM Bevis Marks. 7pm. June 14th. If you still have that green dress, I would not say no.
