“Sounds perfect,” Moira told her with a smile.
Part of her hoped no one would notice her lunch with Marcus and that she wouldn’t need the offered lessons. After all, despite what anyone thought, it wasn’t anything serious. They were simply friends…At least that’s what told herself over and over again. It seemed in the last twenty-four hours she had been telling herself that more and more.
“Thank you for the talk and the brownie sundaes,” she said. “I’ll drop you a note next week to see how your following week is shaping up. Just don’t work yourself too hard…I don’t want to see them bringing you into St. Mungo’s for a case of exhaustion.”
Not that she was one to talk. However, she was more then used to running on a few hours of sleep, when she could manage that. A bit of make-up and a few glamour charms did the trick to cover the circles under her eyes though. Lack of sleep wasn’t usually something she recommended though…
Shifting, she grabber her purse, preparing for her trip back to her flat. She gave Lady a pat on the head, smiling slightly at the little dog. She was quite a character, and once again Moira made a commitment in her mind to see about getting some sort of dog herself.
“Get some rest,” she said, turning her attention back to Akiva, “and I’ll be in touch soon.”
