Dugan was anxious for the full moon. It was two days away, and the closer it drew the more short tempered and restless he became. He craved the transformation these days, couldn't wait for the carnage and bloodshed it would inevitably bring. But he had to be careful. They were looking for him everywhere- and although he might be a powerful wizard, resistant to spells even in his human form, he was stronger as a wolf- a better chance of survival. So he was trying to spend the last forty-eight hours or so before his transformation somewhere safe.
He had hideouts scattered all over Knockturn, Hogsmeade, and other wizard cities. You stayed in one place for too long it was too easy to get caught. He hadn't been able to return to his legal address since things had started, it was too dangerous. His second favorite place to hide had been the place he had taken Colin- so he couldn't go back there either. Two hide outs in Knockturn down. (And he didn't dare set foot in the Chimaera given the surveillance on the place.)
Dugan had broken into one of the abandoned shops- it was decaying, smelled awful, but it was a place to sleep. There was shelter and the roof didn't leak too bad- so it was decent. Dugan had, for certain, hidden out in worse places than this in the past.
There was a small part of him which was surprised he had yet to be captured- but it was a very small part, and mostly it had made Dugan more arrogant, more careless- less often concerned with the consequences of his actions. He had turned the ministry upside down in a matter of a few months- and he was proud of his handy work.
Dugan stood at the old, shuttered window- peering through the cracks down into the bustling street of Knockturn. Soon, he thought, soon and he would be himself again- able to run all fours down the alley in search of a satisfying meal.
His nose twitched and quivered as he caught a familiar scent on the wind. Was that... Margo? His eyes focused on the street again. He didn't see her there- couldn't see a feminine figure anywhere- but he knew that smell. Dugan growled darkly as he moved from his spot by the window down to the door. She was out there- and she was out there somewhere close.
