Wand: None Ollivander Wand: 12 1/2 inches, Willow with a mix of Reed, hair form a Kelpie Mane, and Swishy.

Physical Description: Kalina is 5'3 and weighs 125 even though she likes to eat a lot. She is not very muscular or strong. She is very thin and willowy much like her wand, but she has been told by her grandmother countless of times she was blessed with a large chest, but Kalina thinks it's a pain.

Her light blonde hair is usually up in a long ponytail. Mostly she wears her tight white t-shirt, her Hufflepuff sweater vest and her short black skirt. Normally on sunny days her chocolate brown eyes will have a gentle golden glow. She has fair but tan skin and long slender fingers. The only real mark on her body is the small tornado shaped birth mark on the right side of her right hand.

Personality Description: Kalina tends to be a finicky when it comes to food or hygiene, which has always caused her problems. Problems such as getting laughed at by cousins or getting shoved in the play ground just down the block. She is somewhat of a klutz, which has added to her bullying problem, but she doesn't seem to go overboard with it. Even though there have been some bruises and cuts in the past. Also she can have a bit of a temper if something is not done the way the instructor or directions instructed, which again adds to the fact she is not well liked by some of her peers.

Kalina can easily have a few crushes but will never voice her interest, mostly because she thinks she’ll get hit, and she does not like the thought of rejection so she tends to be just friends with most of them. She is mostly seen alone reading or doing work, due to bullies, but there have been cases where her fellow classmates have gotten her to be just as silly as a Hufflepuff can be.

History:
Childhood: Kalina was born in Cliffe, England in 1990 to her Bulgarian pureblood parents. Her father is an Auror and her mother a stay at home mom. They had moved to Cliffe three months before Kalians’ birth to start their new family in a new country. Not long after her father’s parents decided to move in to help with Kalina.  She grew up with the loving faces of her family and a small house elf named Hubert.

Hubert was nice to Kalina everyday and always did what was asked of him. He was never treated badly in the Petkov home. Kalina was happy when she received her letter from Hogwarts but wasn't too excited when her grandfather told her to meet a nice pureblood. For as long as she could remember her family had always spoken ill of halfbloods and muggle born wizards, she doesn’t see why they should be treated so poorly.

Most of her cousins have bullied her since she was small, for having her small quirks and the way she was always so nice to those who were not pureblooded. She knew her family had always been in Slytherin but she didn't really feel like it was the house for her. She was more care free and wasn't mean or snooty. Fortunately for her the sorting hat agreed.

Hogwarts: She enjoyed her first year very much. She was delighted to be away from her family but missed Hubert a little. She loved all of her classes but her favorites were Flying and Herbology. And the minute she stepped into the Hufflepuff common room she never wanted to leave again. Second year was just as good but slightly disappointing due to the fact she did not have a Flying class, but she made the most of it and learned to love Potions class. And on the bright side she didn’t get lost like her first year.

Third year was fantastic; she loved the trips to Hogsmeade and the shops. Her favorite part was getting to drink butterbeer and going to see the Shrieking Shack. And last year, her fourth year, was a little bit of a rough year with preparing for O.W.L.s. Which she hopes to overcome with flying colors. But she hopes this year will be the year she can finally make a friend or two.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Kalina is not a brave person, she gets scared too easily and will run away so Gryffindor was out of the question. She's smart but doesn't have the attitude for a Ravenclaw. Being a bully and a snob just wasn't appealing to her and made her a little scared so that was a definite no to Slytherin. The only place to be herself and be sort of smart was the kind and honest house of Hufflepuff. Which she enjoys being in very much.

Writing Sample: Kalina wondered the halls of Hogwarts after her study session in the Library with a Ravenclaw she knew. Noticing a small group of Slytherin boys she put her head down and began to walk a little faster towards the kitchen. She hoped they hadn't noticed her just wanting to get to the common room without being bothered, but unfortunately they had noticed. "Hey Hufflepuff! Where do you think you're going?" yelled one of the boys as they walked towards her. "I-I'm just going to the common room." she said quietly as they made their way to stand in front of her. "So if you'll just excuse me." she said brushing past them taking off into a small run. They yelled after her but she paid no mind to it as she tapped on a barrel opening the door to the common room. "Finally." she sighed as she flopped down onto the round yellow sofa. She looked around noticing that no one was there and decided to take in the site of the common room. It still looked the same form her first year. Light yellow walls with black trim, plants everywhere, vines that came down from the ceiling that brushed against your face when you went to the dorms. The round ceiling and doors.  She smiled this room seemed to always make her think of home.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Kalina is a very kind and eccentric person. Her heart is golden and her brain is true. She never seems to frown, but if she does it's because she probably missed a meal. Her best feature would probably be her honesty, you might not want to hear it but she'll probably tell you anyway. If asked a question it's hard for her to lie. All together she is a person who strives to do the best in life.
