Wand: 7 ½ “ Apple with Unicorn Hair core. Rigid and smooth save for five gouges across the upper half of the wand. They look rather like tally-marks.

Physical Description: Veronica is a slight, petite girl with a very feminine build.  She has thick tawny-blonde hair that falls in soft waves past her shoulders and dull green eyes. She is often smiling broadly and laughing easily when with friends but in the company of those she doesn’t like she tends toward the trademark disgusted up-and-down look that girls tend to give each other.

She wears very little makeup (except for little things like lip gloss and the occasional concealer) and her complexion is very clear. Due to summers spent going to the beach with her wealthier friends, she is tanned and radiant. Like her brother, Veronica looks a little older than she is. She ‘matured’ at the tender age of ten and while most girls seem to just be starting puberty she seems to be exiting at the other side.

While belonging to a lower economic class than most of her classmates, Veronica cares very deeply about the clothes she wears and has found ways to make money stretch while still dressing well. Her posture is perfect, and she speaks clearly most of the time, though when perturbed or tired she tends to grumble and mutter under her breath like a small child.


Personality Description: Veronica believes very strongly in family values. She is fiercely committed to her family and puts stock in old-fashioned gender stereotypes. While everyone else is parked in front of the TV she’ll be vacuuming under their feet. With both parents and Huck working in the summers, she is more or less left in charge of Penny and Frankie. Cooking, cleaning, and general childcare were up to her, and the responsibility has made her very capable and competent.

Unlike her siblings, Veronica is very neat and organized. She takes great pleasure in things like color-coded notebooks. Not the type to brag, Veronica isn’t quick to discuss her grades or her successes. On the flipside, she also tends to change the topic when it falls to her family or her socioeconomic status.

She can get very frustrated very easily, and sometimes takes on a very petulant attitude when confronted with things that didn’t go the way she planned. When being lectured to or scolded, she tends to roll her eyes and say things like “whatever.”

Pretty from a young age, Veronica can be very critical of the appearances of others, and is quick to focus on the flaws of those around her, and as such she often selects her friends and associates based on their appearance. However, she won’t ignore anyone simply based on their appearance, saving that punishment only for those she deems “weird.”

Like her brother and sisters, Veronica is half-blood with a muggle mother, and as such has a very low tolerance for prejudice among her classmates. Especially since she considers many of them to be utterly mediocre in many ways. She will call people out on their ingrained beliefs more than her older brother will.


History: Veronica was the second-born child of the Wards. Her older brother, Huxley, is a fifth-year Slytherin and her younger sister, Penny, is a first-year Ravenclaw. She also has a younger sister, Frankie who is nine and will attend Hogwarts when she is of age.

The family has very little money, but live in a fairly nice home due to the fact that it is more or less a family heirloom. Her father, a wizard, runs a muggle pharmacy (which stocks some amount of wizarding goods in the back, as well) and her mother, a muggle, works at a day care center.

Due to the family's mixed lifestyle, their house has a wide variety of both magic and nonmagic features, making the children very adaptable and very knowledgeable about all types of items. While doing chores, the kids were required to do them muggle-style to make them appreciate the magic they did come across.

Veronica and her siblings are very tight, and exchange harsh words with each other in jest. She loves to tease her older brother, and spends a good deal of time trying to humiliate him publicly. Huxley and Veronica are very similar and enjoy each other’s company quite a bit.

As a child, Veronica was very outspoken and somewhat pushy. She liked to take charge of group projects and always made sure she received a stellar grade. However, she would also make sure that other members in her group did well, and took pleasure in helping other kids get on track with their schoolwork. For a small fee she would organize all their notes and folders into a rather attractive three-ring binder.

She was well aware of the fact that she had magical abilities from a very early age, but was very in-control of herself and never had a big slip-up. She received all Huxley’s old hand-me-down books and robes, which she and her mother spruced up to hide their antiquity, and began attending Hogwarts at age 11.

Veronica’s first year was fantastic. With a well-known and generally well-liked (and attractive) older brother, she found it easy to integrate into her social world at Hogwarts. The biggest challenge she faced was trying to prune her circle of friends into a very attractive bamboo tree of social clout. In the end, Veronica took the easy road and stopped associating with people she knew to be considered “weird” or “gross.”

Veronica has never been in a physical fight or a non-assignment duel while at Hogwarts, and prefers to handle her problems with cruel glances and whispered words. However, she doesn’t run into many problems as she doesn’t really start drama, only participates in it once she’s foisted into the middle of it. As such, she is happy most of the time and is very tolerant when she’s in a good mood.

Her second year found her participating in more school activities and attempting to plan fun little things to do with the girls in her year.


How Do You Fit Into Your House?: She is very shrewd and is a little mean at times. She is also very driven towards success.

She is a typical girly-girl who likes to look pretty and will look down on those who don’t make the same efforts. She is Huxley Ward’s little sister and his best friend in many ways.
