So, for example, you'll see a plot summary for the month of May included in our next fortnight flier, and one for June when June is close to being finished. This means the plot summaries will be less frequent, but still summarize the same information.The fortnight fliers and timeline change notice will be sent out as usual, and announce news and events. Highlights will still be announced in the highlights board.The Tetrawizard TournamentThis exciting plot is coming up fast! We are currently working on establishing more canon information for the three participating schools: Durmstrang, Beauxbatons, and the Salem Witches Institute. Once the AO staff has got a good handle on that, we'll pose specific questions in the plot development board so everyone can provide input. We will also be opening up foreign applications soon! You can find more information about the initial stages of our tournament plot here.Hogwarts Age Groups/YearsFor this Hogwarts school year, we've accepted first-years, third-years, fifth-years, and seventh-years. When the school year begins in the fall, those age groups will move up a year. First-years will become second-years, third-years will become fourth-years, and so on. We will also be accepting new first-years and seventh-years in the fall. So, the complete list of years that we will be accepting in the fall is: 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7. You can apply for new first-years and seventh-years anytime, but keep in mind they won't be able to participate in school until the fall.Both sixth-years (currently fifth-years) and new seventh-years will be allowed to participate in the upcoming Tetrawizard Tournament.Final Exams, O.W.L.s, and N.E.W.T.sAll exams and testing will take place June 1 - 12. We explain what happens if students fail exams, and how many classes they are allowed to take, in this thread. We also go over the exam schedule and how exams are proctored.
