Wand: Ormen's wand is yew, 12 inches with a Dragon Heartstring core and is inflexible.

Physical Description: Ormen has a stern face; a built chin and relatively discerning look. He has bright cyan eyes with chocolate brown hair. He has fairly tanned skin and is quite tall for his age. Being muggleborn, Ormen is used to wearing muggle clothing, but has accompanied himself with wizarding wear.

Personality Description: Ormen is very thoughtful and charming. He always seems to think highly and produce idealistic thoughts. He's very social and has a feel to him that basically says "Come talk to me." He's very decisive and cunning which can get him out of trouble or help devise plans with friends. He doesn't enjoy being spoken down to, and if the latter happens, he'll always stand his ground and get out his opinion on the matter.

He's not a quiet child, although he may back out of a conversation to hear what others have to say, in which he'll jump right back in and get the debate going on something he is passionate about. He's very stubborn also; he is concerned with always having himself receive the best and always disconcerning others form the matter. He detests people whom think they are better than him, be it adult or peer. Being as stubborn as he is, he doesn't always think quick enough to save himself from a stupid outburst or opinion, which counteracts his normally idealistic trait.

History: Born in London, England to his muggle parents, Lucia and David Morne, he was clouded in terms of the magical world. His family had a history of odd occurrences with some of the grandchildren or cousins, but Ormen's family never concerned themselves to the fact that perhaps magic was in the works. The Morne family was fairly distant; households didn't speak to their cousins or grandparents which implemented a certain distance on Ormen to whom his family really was.

Ormen's father was intent on sending his son to Rochester Independent College to receive a highly valued education. His mother, however, disagreed and suggested sending him to Moffats boarding school to help him prepare for university. This struck a rather unpleasant argument when Ormen was only two years old, causing his rather strict parents to divorce and concede in legally taking Ormen. His father brought the matter to court and, because of past offenses, his father lost and Ormen was given full ownership to his mother. David, outraged by his wife's derogatory win, threatened to take Ormen by force, issuing for him to be sent to jail on account of threats in kidnapping. Ormen grew up unknowing of what happened to his father or where he was, but his mother assured him it was better like this.

On Ormen's 9th birthday, his mother bought him a black cat (black was his favorite color at the time) and he decided to name her Ororo, after his presumably recent passed grandmother. He took a strong liking to the cat and Ororo never left his side. His mother enjoyed thoroughly that Ormen had received a friend, which he couldn't seem to make at school.

As a second treat, his mother surprised him by going to the Museum of Natural History, one of his favorite places to visit. Ormen, excited by the exhibits, rushed to see what kind of cool new displays the museum had erected and found himself in the Jurassic exhibit. Astonished by the dinosaurs, he made his way to the reptilian branch and became hugely interested in iguanas, newts and perhaps most importantly for the sake of history, snakes.

Like the normal wizarding child, Ormen began to experience odd occurrences in his day-to-day life. He could make certain things disappear when he was angry enough or could make people trip over thin air if he was sad about something. All in all, Ormen experienced the normal life of a magical child, and to explain all of this, Ormen received his Hogwarts invitation letter at the age of 11.

Quite shocked and confused, his mother first thought that there had been a mistake; the wrong child? The wrong address? But she finally gave in and agreed to the mess of magic that lay in front of her. She then confessed to Ormen that her sister also happened to be a muggleborn witch, which is half the reason in which she decided against visiting her family.

Both excited and nervous, Ormen became a source of proud energy as he found out he was indeed a Wizard. Overshadowing his peers at his muggle school, he knew that he was now much better than them and that he deserved this. Off to Hogwarts went Mr. Morne.

Venturing into Hogwarts was a rough adjustment for Ormen; he noticed he received much ridicule for being muggleborn by a couple students in Slytherin as they met on the train. Noticing that being "muggleborn" wasn't as glamorous as he assumed it to be, Ormen hid his blood type and secluded himself from the students until they reached Hogwarts. As the students arrived to the mountainous castle, Ormen was awestruck with wonder as magic filled his life. The first years, much like him, entered the Great Hall for the first time and were introduced to the infamous Sorting Hat.

As if the hat didn't want to be placed on Ormen's head, it automatically yelped "SLYTHERIN!". Various cheers came from the Slytherin table, while he also was accompanied by dirty looks of those who knew his blood type.

As the year progressed, Ormen took a great interest into Defense Against the Dark Arts... but perhaps just the "Dark Arts" part of it. He was patronized by the power that the Dark Arts could produce and was inspired to learn of it's secrets. Ormen also became very interested in Potions and Charms. He loved the physical realm of magic; the spells, the potions, the effects! He was chin-deep in what he came to call his new passion; magic. Of course, he also learned to receive various shut-downs and comments related to his muggleborn status. He was called 'mudblood' quite a lot from his peers, and was usually picked last if partners were introduced into the lesson.

This caught Ormen's attention. He became frustrated and upset that he was born to a muggle couple. Why could he not have been half blood? "Imagine the glory of being Pureblood!" he always thought to himself. He took it upon himself to study his family more when he could get the chance... to see where this magic came from.

Ormen survived through the year and made a couple of acquaintances... none to be deemed 'friends' in his opinion, so he kept to himself for most of it. Hogwarts was definitely a place that Ormen was destined to be at, for good or bad. He was in glee for the second year of his magical education, and couldn't bare to leave to a muggle world.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Ormen is very stubborn and believes that he himself deserves the best. He is headstrong and fairly imaginative which gives him the impression of being over-confident or obnoxious. He likes the darker side of things; he enjoys other people's misery, such as when they get in trouble or do not do as well as him. He cares not for the processes of "good", but believes that standing at your own neutral state is better then team work. Ormen is also very spoiled, which accounts on his efforts of making himself always look good.

Writing Sample: The warm, orange light illuminating from the candles overhead dripped along the charcoal black wall. Portraits of important looking figures and breathtaking landscapes cultivated the rather gloomy room. Onyx leather couches and chairs were placed firmly in front of a granite fireplace, crackling and whispering amongst the embers.
"Don't worry," came a soothing voice from across the room. "Moffats is a wonderful school. I even attended it."

She was tall and skinny. Her skin was tanned and licked by the orange flames that were burning next to her. She seemed to be reading a brochure with a fascinating school on the cover, the title reading 'Moffats Boarding College'. A young boy was sitting opposite of her, watching the fire, looking fairly dampened by the spirits of the room. "Well?" came the woman's voice. She looked up, her deep blue eyes swimming with wonder as she peered at her son. "Ormen?"
"Hm?" mumbled Ormen lazily. The woman gave a limp smile and walked over to the chair he was sitting in and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"We'll talk about this tomorrow then." she said before taking her leave from the dark room.

Ormen rose from his chair and sighed, looking at the portraits surrounding him. The figures in the paintings were rather plump and tired looking, as if they had just come home from a long day at work and had to pose for a picture. He grabbed the glass of water that was sitting on the chesterfield and took one more glance around the room.

He made his way out into the kitchen where his mother was pouring wine into an expensive looking glass. He stared at her for a second before saying, "I don't want to go to Moffat." This must have punctured his mother's heart because she nearly lost hold of the wine bottle she was holding.
"Why." It wasn't a question, it was a demand.
"I want to go to a normal school. A public school."
"Honey," she said, trying to calm herself down from the bullet she was just shot with, "Moffat is a school where people like you can go. People who want to achieve more!" she explained, trying to sound cheery. Ormen simply shook his head.
"But," he began. "I don't want to live at a school. I want to live here with you." he admitted. His mother sighed and closed her eyes, got up, and left to her bedroom where she slammed her door, murmured something, then flicked her lights off.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Muggleborn, Ormen detests the weak and admires the strong. He dreams of becoming a leader of an important standing and show off his true abilities to those that surround him. He is careful, yet stubborn and won't stop until what he wants to say is said. No questions. He attempts to excel in everything he does, and everything everyone else does. He has a fascination for learning powerful spells which perhaps matches his personality. His name is Ormen Morne and he aspires to be the best.
