[April 30] A quiet getaway [Nicola] on March 25, 2009, 07:41:20 PM After Gavin's classes were over he decided to have a special evening with Nicola. With classes in the way and friends always demanding attention, Gavin was never able to spend some alone time with her. The garden was usually only occupied with fury plants and students during herbology. Other than that Gavin was alone when he came to the garden to relax. He decided yesterday that it would be a good idea to show Nicola where he was when he couldn't be found. During breakfast Gavin sat next to Nicola, like always, and shared with her what he wanted to do later on during the day. She seemed excited, and that made Gavin happy. There was a conflicting war between two sides in Gavin's mind. On one side he thought that he was making Nicola very happy even though he had no idea how to do so. It was the side that thought he was doing everything right. But then there was the side that he thought he was doing everything wrong, that he was not giving her enough attention. Everything was so difficult being in a relationship.Hand in hand, Gavin and Nicola made their way to the garden. He didn't say much to her. Once he commented on her outfit and then on how good she smelt but other than that he was a bit nervous. What would she think of him if he brought her to the garden, would she think he was sensitive or something? Gavin had to laugh, if that was going on in her mind than she was crazy. Just being in the garden was a nice and quiet getaway. The ministry was on her mind and it was stressing her out, so much so she felt like she had been pushing Gavin away a bit. They really had only just started dating and she was afraid that she was going to push him away or something. She wanted to spend more time with Gavin then just at meal times and after the little discussion with Gavin this morning she was getting that chance.Today classes felt agonizingly long, she didn’t get the chance to see Gavin in any of them and she wished she could. She just kept thinking about the time they would get to spend after class. She was not going to let anything stop them from their chance of some alone time. Nicola could not recall the last time they had really been alone, maybe the night at the lake? They had spent time together with friends, and time apart but no alone time. Nicola really was looking forward to it. Homework was going to take a back seat for once. She was definitely afraid that she was pushing him away and she wanted to make up for that. So after class he had changed from her uniform into something more Nicola. She had met Gavin and now they were walking hand in hand. She had no idea what to expect, as he had not told her much. “How was your day?” Nicola felt like a bit of an idiot for such a stupid question. She gave his hand a little squeeze as they continued their walk. Maybe it was just the new relationship awkwardness still playing into affect. Gavin noticed that they were on a path that he never ventured in before. He sat down and dragged Nicola in his arms. "Well... It was okay I guess. "He breathed into her right ear. "But -- I consider my day not over until I see you, so I don't know the answer yet." Gavin said, kissing her on the cheek. "How about you?" He said with a smirk. A year ago, Gavin would've never imagined himself being in this position with Nicola Hames. He always admired her, like every other girl who was attractive, but he never dared talk to her. She seemed to have -- too much respect for herself. It wasn't his fault though; there were too many pretty girls in the school. It almost seemed like they all got to pick out who they wanted to look like. He was happy though, something that all his friends could see in him. And he didn't care who didn't like the two of them together, and if anyone tried to say something to break them apart he would just have to break their face. It was this new way of looking at things that she just was not completely wrapping her head around but was definitely enjoying. Who could be complaining about spending time in the gardens with Gavin Snark. She was easily pulled to be in his arms sitting down with Gavin on the bench. She felt his breath against her ear and it sent a shiver through her, but definitely a good one. A little laugh escaped her lips as his words, Gavin was the only one who could make her smile and laugh on a regular basis. “Oh aren’t you the charmer,” she turned her head back to look at Gavin. “Though you are being sweet to say such a thing.” Nicola gave a kiss to his cheek. Was he actually serious? That was a thought that ran through her head, she was not sure whether Gavin actually felt that way. Nicola felt like her heart was racing and she was happy just to know that he at least said things like that. Gavin was the only one to make her heart race that way and her stomach flip.“My day just got a whole lot better,” it was the truth it definitely always got better when she spent time with Gavin. She liked being in his arms, and it was a fact that was very new to her. She was not used to the affection from a guy beyond friendship. Many people didn’t like the idea of them together but Nicola didn’t care and she wasn’t going to try and start caring now.“So this is where you come when I cannot find you?” She asked looking up at him curiously. “I like the middle of the quidditch pitch to just stare and look at the stars. It is so clear there.” Granted she was no fan of the dark especially when alone. Nicola linked her fingers with Gavin’s and looked at them together before her thumb ran against his hand. “Why do you like this spot?” Skip to next post Re: [April 30] A quiet getaway [Nicola] Reply #4 on March 31, 2009, 08:15:38 PM Gavin, a charmer? Well of course he was everyone knew that. He was a bit full of himself at times but he did not go overboard like other people who should not be named. Scratching his head, Gavin looked up to the sky. "I guess I am being sweet to you, maybe too sweet. I think you are being spoiled love." Nic was being spoiled, in Gavin's mind. He never acted so lovely to another girl... Never, unless he wanted to get something out of it. Gavin whined. He had no idea what he was doing or why he was doing it. It was almost like Nicola had the strings connected to his body already and in fact that wasn't a good idea. She already knew more secrets than most of the people he considered his "friends". The other half just thought they knew him. “Why do you like this spot?”He pondered about this for a moment; there wasn't a real reason for going to this spot. Just the enjoyment of peace and quiet made Gavin so fascinated with the garden. For one thing Gavin had no interest in plants at all; he wasn't the best student in Herbology. He had no idea what the little furry creatures had inside their pedals. He only liked the look of some of them and the pleasant smell that they created. Unless when a plant smelt, and Gavin made sure to stay away from that. "I like the quiet." he said as he kissed her lips. This was a mushy moment for him, something he was not used to like every other thing that came with this girl. She had danger written all over her but he couldn't help himself. "I also like it better now that you are here. You should feel honored that you are here with me. I never tell people where I am when I'm alone. Now you know my deepest secret, what are you going to do with it?" he teased. She really did not laugh or smile this much around anyone but Gavin. “I sort of like this sweet side.” It was true it was a side of him she had not really seen before and she had to admit she rather liked it and could get used to it. Gavin was getting a side of Nicola that not many people saw either, the relaxed and carefree, the one who could laugh more. She didn’t feel the stresses of the world when she was with Gavin. She needed someone like him around especially with NEWTs and job interviews.Quiet, she could understand that it was one of the reasons the Quidditch Pitch at night was nice. She felt the soft touch of his lips as she returned the kiss. Kissing Gavin on a regular basis was definitely a perk of being his girlfriend and to know that he wasn’t kissing anyone else. Nicola was slightly uncomfortable with how mushy the moment had turned but since it was with Gavin she didn’t mind too much. This was a seriously mushy moment for Nicola she was never one to express these sort of things.Things got even more intimate and mushy when he said he liked it better since she was here. She smiled because she just couldn’t stop it sneaking onto her lips. “Don’t worry your secret is safe with me. I won’t tell anyone.” She smirked, “Unless it is for a good price,” she joked before planting a soft quick kiss on his lips. “Seriously though if I cannot find you I will come here to find you if I really want to see you.” Nicola sometimes just needed the calming feeling Gavin could make come over her. “You know you make me calm and relaxed and I needed that tonight.” She said looking up at him. She really was enjoying being in his arms. Skip to next post
