Dear Mr. Whitman,
Firstly, I thank you for your letter – as the Head of Department, naturally I feel responsible for the charades my staff gets up to while I turn my back. In order to put a stop to such behaviour and find the root of this issue, I would like to personally assist you in addressing this problem. Is there any way I could contact Ms. O’Morain, so we could arrange a meeting? If the subject is of a delicate nature, it would be best to settle it in person.
