Physical Description: Cameron is firstly a rather tall and lanky person. His towering figure is sometimes a bit intimidating. The clothing he usually wears is simple, but very elegant and usually jet-black with some odd detail or a piece of jewellery. No matter what the occasion, he is always impeccably dressed. He is one of those men who look better as they age more and Cameron would like to think that now, in his forties he is looking better than ever before!
His short light auburn hair is usually combed back, but it sometimes he keeps it a bit messy. His eyes are probably the most interesting feature - they are light blue and sometimes intimidating because of their coldness. Cameron is aware of that and knows what kind of effect his eyes can have on certain people - so he uses that to his advantage quite often.
His face is rather young-looking, but not always pleasant. He rarely looks tired, but when he does, there are ugly-looking black circles around his eyes which make him look up to ten years older.
Personality Description: A talented liar and pretender, a natural-born politician who can handle a stressful job at the Ministry. Cameron has a way with people, he seems as if he always tries his best to please everyone, even when that is very far from the truth. He is rarely seen angry or dissatisfied in public, there is usually a calm, confident smile on his face. He is polite, but also oftentimes very sarcastic and knows exactly how to bring his opponent down with words. He could also be described as stubborn, competitive, creative and at times very messy.
Cameron usually seems nonchalant and indifferent, especially about things that are not really of his own concern. But in all honesty, he is a very curious person who even enjoys listening to gossip. He is a good listener and he will even listen to the boring stories of his co-workers at times.
He will rarely be the one to lose his temper in an argument, but his ways can oftentimes be cruel and very uncomfortable. He is the type of person who can forgive, but never really forget, so his opponents should always be vigilant.
To the public eye, Cameron Rosier is still sort of an enigma, but is widely known for his numerous charity donations, maybe two or three famous clients, but mostly his last name. Like most British gentlemen, Cameron enjoys a good drink after a hard working day, fine cigars, pretty, young women, wizarding poker and of course - talking about the weather.
History: His mother was an Auror, the rest of his family though were knee-deep in Dark Arts. Cameron was a thin, often ill-looking child who grew up in the shadow of his older cousin Evan. His mother was never around, always apparently working and his father was a cold, stern man who often locked him in a dusty vine cellar as a form of punishment. Cameron often dreamed of being older, he felt helpless and lonely as a child. His cousins were a poor company to him, so he mostly avoided them. As he was by himself most of the time, he loved making up stories, eavesdropping on the conversations of elders and stealing his father’s robes and cigars. He was a cunning, but also often naïve boy who liked to keep to himself.
Things however changed at Hogwarts. His entire family belonged to the Slytherin house, including his cousin Evan who was a couple of years ahead of him, but Cameron was sorted into Ravenclaw. This contributed even more to the distance that grew between Evan and Cameron. Slowly, Cameron managed to befriend a couple of students - it was a new experience for him and he surprisingly enjoyed having someone similar-minded to spend his time with. Many called him stuck-up, pompous and unapproachable, but it was just his way of dealing with his insecurities.
Cameron was never a hard-working student, he always thought he didn’t need to study. Also, as years passed, his image and looks became more important to him than his academic achievement. He left the spoiled, anti-social little boy behind and slowly transformed into a dashing, resourceful and arrogant young man. He never thought he would enjoy popularity, but that became one of the things he could hardly live without. He would always get away with a minimum effort put into work because he remembered things easily, learned fast and above all - had a way with people.
Cameron was far from being the best student in his year (he was never even a prefect), but he knew he could be if he wanted to…and that was enough for him. More importantly, he was very good at curses and hexes which helped him develop into an unusually good duelist. He had that competitive edge in him, but would never take himself or his opponent too seriously and rarely let any emotions interfere. Perhaps he was so successful at it because he took it as “good fun and banter”. But this growing reputation as a duelist made him even more confident and arrogant - he was often seen strutting around the castle with his chin high up or in detention for being rude to a professor.
The First War started while he was still a student at Hogwarts and he knew his family was involved. He tried very hard to distance himself from everyone, but it was difficult. Even though they were never very close, Evan tried to force Cameron to join the forces of the Dark Lord, telling him it is the winning side. But Cameron was stubborn. Through the years he started resenting his family even more and would not join them only because they thought it was right. He didn’t want to be sided with them out of spite. That was the last time Evan and Cameron spoke to each other - nearly beating and cursing each other to death in the Shrieking Shack.
His mother expected a better academic record and wished he would join the Aurors. But that was never Cameron’s intention - he never took required subjects for an Auror career. Also he lost all respect for his mother when he learned she was a spy for the Death Eaters. His father was less worried, as far as he was concerned he could always sneak him into a Ministry position through family ties. No one in the Rosier family ever ended up poor or unemployed forever.
Cameron finished his education in the brink of war. He tried to ostracize himself from the Rosier family, but that wasn’t an easy task. Unemployed and bitter, Cameron thought about leaving the country, but he didn’t want to start from scratch. Thankfully, through one of his close friends from Hogwarts, Cameron found a job at Tiberius Ogden’s office. This however came with a very high price - one of the main conditions to work there was to tell the Ministry inside information on the Rosier family. Cameron proved his loyalty to the Ministry numerous times, but when his mother was caught and imprisoned, they finally knew he was on their side.
He strangely enjoyed bringing “justice” to his old family and fanatically obsessed over Barty Crouch Sr. Evan Rosier was soon killed and soon the war ended. But Cameron never felt safe again…he knew there were still some bitter, vengeful remaining Rosiers who wished him death.
Things slowly changed however, Cameron climbed very high up in the Department of Magical Law enforcement and took his job as a prosecutor very seriously. As the years passed, he acquired many contacts throughout the Wizarding world who made his job easier. Some of those contacts were of a questionable morality. No one could actually point a finger at him and blame him for anything, but it was obvious that Cameron suddenly came into the possession of a considerably large sum of money. Obviously much more than any Ministry pay check would provide him.
This new money of course bought him a new status among the society and all the other little things. After turning thirty, he married a ten year younger socialite called Annah Bailey, but their marriage was suspiciously short-lived. There are rumours Cameron ran away with another woman just a week later, but no one ever found out more about her.
As the years passed, Cameron became a more notable player within the Ministry, taking care of many respectable clients. However, his ’other life’ and ever-present Rosier family issues were always looming over him, but it was all good as long as no one asked too many questions. The Second War scarred him permanently because he lost two of his close friends. For the first time in many years, Cameron felt lonely and helpless.
After the war he donated a lot of money to the St. Mungo’s hospital in the name of his fallen friends and did countless of charades like that, but it just made him more famous in the Wizarding world…failing to fill the gap inside him. Many things can be said about Cameron Rosier, but it seemed that he was now a reformed man, a Ministry product through and through. The Prophet loved him and loved to hate him sometimes, but that just bought him more publicity. So, for the past ten years he worked very hard to climb the Ministry and the social ladder. Needless to say, he married once again (this time she was twenty years younger) and then divorced after a while. It didn’t seem to bother him much though, his career was in the first place now and his mission was to make a difference.
Describe your job duties and how you go about them:
After the murder of Gawain Robards and numerous attacks on Aurors and other Ministry employees, the Ministry didn’t have much choice. The Wizengamot elders, highly influenced by the Whitman family and Oscar Whitman in particular decided it was time they try to appoint someone who will run the Department according to their ideals. Cameron was of course always aiming for that job, so this was the perfect time to befriend an influential figure such as Whitman. The final decision however was apparently made by the Minister himself. Perhaps remembering Cameron from the “good old days”, Marcus Annwyl approved of him as the new Head of Department.
At this time, Cameron will aim to focus on the runespoor smuggling and hopefully stop the attacks on his employees and colleagues. He wants to work closely with Aurors, collaborate with their office and gather as much evidence that will root out the smugglers and bring them to court.
Cameron Rosier only answers to the Minister of Magic. His primary job is to hold his department together, run everything from his lavish office. Well, at least once he thought his job would be glamorous, rather than life-draining and exceedingly stressful. Cameron supervises important trials and makes key decisions regarding them. He keeps the other offices of the DoMLE as unified as possible, especially focusing on the important work of the Auror office and the Wizengamot.
He tries to be an approachable, but stern boss. He secretly strives for Mr. Crouch Sr.’s old fame, but knows that will never happen. Cameron aims to show his respect for his co-workers, especially the elder ones.
Most importantly, he strives to be omnipresent and all-knowing. Well, that usually proves to be an impossible task.
Elaborate on your expertise in your field: Cameron is intelligent and resourceful. He has been working at the Ministry since leaving Hogwarts (1979) and helped with many trials post First war. He likes to think he learned from the best and has “seen it all”. Basically all his adult life was spent in the Department for Magical Law Enforcement and down in the courtrooms. His references come from powerful people on high positions which include even Tiberius Ogden and former Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge.
Cameron is also wealthy (at the moment) and apparently loves donating money to various charities and for the development of Departments and Departmental research.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Slightly elitist, rather self-confident but all together a powerful and capable wizard. Likes to be in charge, loves to be right and absolutely adores dueling. Sometimes dark, moody and cruel...but then again, who isn't?
