[Naomi/Percy] May 3rd Reply #15 on August 08, 2011, 03:33:46 PM A wry smile pressed from Naomi's lips, "Oh," and the girl started chuckling again, but then she stuttered to a stop the her eyes settled on Percy as she quickly realized how serious he was being. She sputtered out a final chuckle, "Oh."The third year's eyes wandered around the courtyard as she opened her mouth to try and find an explanation or response to what she just said, or how any of what he said was suppose to work, "I t'ink uh," she shook her head and hugged it to her shoulder as she looked at Percy, "You a goin' to need a little more werk, 'cus um, not sure you can..." she raised her eyebrows, letting her shoulders drop, "talk, 'bout those t'ings 'less you are 'dem?"She cringed a little as she picked at one of the curls resting on her shoulder, but tried to give him some sense of a reassuring smile. If this was what Demont wanted her to do, then she was absolutely dumbfounded. Girls weren't the same, they liked so many different things, how was she suppose to know what they all thought was interesting, charming, and attractive? Naomi seemed so confident and nonchalant. How could he ever be anything like that?"Oh...I see."Percy was embarrassed and his self esteem was dipping rather low, even for himself at this point. Even with her attempt to reassure him with a smile, he looked a bit sickly at this point."Maybe I should go...I've been neglecting my studies for some time now and should probably return to them." [Naomi/Percy] May 3rd Reply #17 on August 09, 2011, 05:25:53 PM "Oh go on like 'dat," Naomi jumped up and wrapped a hand around the Ravenclaw's shoulder, "You're funny," she admitted, although she wasn't sure if that's what he really intended, "So... charming," she waved her free hand up at the sky as she paused and tried to gather her thoughts again. She actually couldn't decide if that was interesting or charming, but charming had a better ring to it, so that's what it was going to be. "Then attractive and interesting...," she bobbed her shoulders and gave a sigh. Most boys were idiots, and she couldn't honestly say she was a great judge of 'attractiveness,' just of what kind of people she could stand to be around, "So let's work on attractive?" she nodded as if Percy should agree with her, and without really waiting on him to answer, she shook her head and continued, "So don' make that face."For starters Percy looking like that made her feel really bad. She hadn't meant to make him feel like that, but she wasn't going to sit there and tell him stories like she would a prefect. "You didn' tell her you were uncomfortable, yeah? Jus' don't let anyone know, and be comfortable wit'..." Naomi rolled back on one foot as she pressed down on the 5th year's shoulder, "yourself." It was all the dark-skinned witch ever really cared about with people, herself, or her friends, because it made her uncomfortable, and now she hoped that same logic could work with this Ravenclaw. After actually giving a moment to take all that in, she helplessly fingered a strand of his hair, "I dunno, I could ask one of th' girls to do somet'in' wit' 'dis?" she really thought his hair looked fine; Blake's hair always looked like that and he seemed fine with it, but there were some Slytherin girls, (and boys,) who could make people look completely different, maybe it'd make Percy look nicer too. If other girls agreed with Naomi, that is. The girl began sizing Percy up and evaluating him and he hoped that she would see potential there. He straightened up, though he felt awkward at being examined in such a way."Oh. Sorry!"Percy tried to calm his features. He was actually a very attractive young man...and his style had improved. Switching from glasses to contacts had been a large part of that success"Well no...of course I didn't tell her I was uncomfortable. How am I supposed to hide that though?"Being comfortable with himself...was something that so rarely happened. It seemed only through his music or studies was Percy ever truly comfortable with who he was. Percy peered toward Naomi's hands curiously as she touched his hair."I'm open to suggestions?" [Naomi/Percy] May 3rd Reply #19 on August 16, 2011, 01:40:28 AM Percy seemed to straighten up and get better fairly easily and Naomi, without any snark, sass, or sarcasm, gave him a genuinely proud smile. "'Dere, you look better now," the girl dropped her hands from the boy's shoulder and patted a palm up at the aire, "Taller." Whatever that meant in the grand scheme of Percy's problems. Then he threw her a curve ball, and she rolled her lips together as she surrendered her head into a slow, contemplative know, "Ooh..." she furrowed her brows, "Gewd question." Naomi's first thought was a spell, possibly via confundus or obliviation, but she had a feeling she wouldn't garner the desired effects and that Percy would act a little loopier and stranger than usual. She pursed her lips and drummed her fingertips together, "Um, try not to t'ink 'bout it?" Her shoulders tilted and her eyebrows rose above hopeful green eyes before her expression fell and she rolled her lips doubtfully, "You ever done 'dat 'fore?" Sure...it was an approving look, but...Percy wasn't accustomed to that when he wasn't playing the piano or performing some great academic feat. He looked..."better" now? "Taller" too? Percy just didn't get it."Well that's...a good thing, I suppose."It seemed Naomi was mulling a lot over in her head. But as she suggested that he tried not to think about appearing comfortable so much...his brow puzzled and he nodded somewhat...before shaking his head in a negative response as she asked if he'd ever done that before."No...I can't say that I have." Well..." she lifted up her hands and braced the air before she snaked them back down to her hips, "Guess I can go an' give you to Erin," the realization that 'Erin' could mean someone entirely different to a 5th year than a 3rd year wasn't at the forefront of Naomi's mind and she moved to take Percy's arm and drag him to wherever the fashion-savvy third year was. "She 'cin do your hair or somethin'," the matter of maturity, when concerning her roommate, was debatable, but Naomi figured Erin had enough sense to make a guy look attractive. Was she that frustrated with him already?"Give me to Erin? Whatever are you going on about, Naomi?"Percy felt befuddled at the very least as Naomi began dragging him away from the scene of his latest failure. Well...at least he was getting away. And it hadn't been...that terrible. "Do what to it?"The book loving Dervish was a bit uncertain about just what Naomi and Erin had in store from him... Skip to next post
