Marietta Grimlish has been absent from the UK for quite some time, having gone to do extensive field work in Romania with the Vampyre legend.  Although she briefly took over as Department Head between the eras of Analiza Snark and Dante Ward, she found she lacked the passion for paperwork.

So anyway, she's an Unspeakable in the Spell Experimentation & Research Office.  Due to her long absence, she's bound to be a bit disoriented when coming back into the fray/politics of the ministry.  Anyone care to help her out or completely befuddle her? She's quite an eccentric gal on her own, I'd love to see how she plays off of her coworkers.  Or other ministry staff.

Also there are whispered rumors throughout the ministry that she's some nut that believes her adopted children (twin boy & girl) were fathered by a vampire.

Waker would be thrilled (slash terrified) to interact with Marietta again, whether or not she ends up at the Ministry post-Hogwarts. Maybe there will be a job interview in their future, in which Marietta gives her opinion to the new department head?? Who knows!

I've got Francis there making time turners, and there's now Colin, Felix and Cillian in the department.

Careers fair

She's most welcome to perhaps have had a time turner to ensure she could get all her work done or some other reason and perhaps its been a bit less accurate, so brings it to Francis to get it fixed. I'm sure he'd enjoy hearing about her travels, and would try and catch her up with things. He's not the most malicious of people, so perhaps he'd not be the first person she'd talk to

Analiza:  Good to see you too, and no pressure on Ophelia.  I know you have a lot of stuff on your plate, and I'm sure I'll get to write with you again somehow.

Waker:  That would be fantastic.  She'll be fully back in the Ministry by the time Waker graduates, so I imagine she can be a point of contact.  Ooooh, interviews!

Francis:  In AO time she was gone when Dante Ward became Head of the Department.  She served as the Interim head between Analiza Snark And Dante Ward.  There's a thread dated October 1st where she mentions leaving soon, so she probably disappeared in October 2008 and came back in April 2009.  However, she's been working in the department since 1991/2-ish. 

I love the idea of her having borrowed a time turner before she left and either not returning it or using it to increase the amount of time spent in the field while not missing too much at the ministry.  She'll definitely be popping by to see him soon.

I've got Cillian available to complete befuddle her He just recently joined the department in march after teaching very briefly at Hogwarts (Having taken over Divination after Ophelia left) He's likely to be just as lost as she is when it comes to the politics and what nots of the Ministry but he's very open for interactions right now.

Colin will happily play hackeysack with her, provided the sack is a human heart

Colin's free to go back to work as of the 18th-20th, so if you wanna thread 'em, I am all for it.

Hallo there! I have two characters for you - Landis Morgan and Michael Dark, both of whom worked at the Ministry at one point. Michael was arrested for passing secrets on from the Ministry, so he worked there for a good long time - and now he's one of the UK's most wanted and completely crazy to boot. He's on the run, but they might have known each other. And they have a common interest! Michael likes vampires.

Landis worked as an Unspeakable for about three years. Mostly under Analiza, I think, but I'm sketchy on the timeline. I'm not sure what Marietta's personality is like, but Landis is real good for antagonism.

Neither are still currently in the Ministry, but I thought I'd offer.

Vlad is at the Career Fair. Since he's Romanian and a descendant of that Dragulia, it seems unthinkable that he and Marietta woudn't know each other, possibly even be friends. Feel free to cause chaos at the DoIMC booth. 

Landis:  Marietta tends to avoid antagonism through her overwhelming naivety, so I'm not sure if Landis would work out.  However, maybe she bumps into him at the career fair?  For Michael Dark, I wonder if she would even know he was on the wanted list.  In that case, she'd be happy to meet with him for tea, or perhaps we could do a correspondence thread to keep each other abreast of any vampire related developments.
