Despite himself, Jonas couldn't help but laugh. The girl's enthusiasm was contagious. It was nice to see someone, however crude her manners, who was obviously so excited about joining the Corps. Despite the tension with Eddie, he could feel himself relaxing slightly. If these soon-to-be graduates really went through with their intentions and became trainees, it was going to be a nice jolt of energy to the department.
"Well, have to hope that you make it through another couple of months before anyone gets around to snapping it then, yeah?" he asked cheerfully, glancing at his watch without thinking. As predicted, it didn't work at Hogwarts. Jonas sighed, glancing around the lunch room in search of another clock. Most of the other tables seemed to be emptying out, students and visitors alike bussing their plates so that they could return to the Career Fair.
"Looks like you lot ought to head on to the demonstration," he urged them, setting his silverware down on his plate. "And I ought to get back to the booth. Nice meeting you all, though," he added cheerfully, as he rose to stand. "And we'll see you all in just a few short months then, won't we?"
End.
