Fair Details

When: Saturday, April 18th, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Where: The booths are in the Hogwarts courtyard outside. The panels are in the Great Hall. All career fair related threads will go in this board.
What's a booth?: A booth has demonstrations and allows for more casual interaction.
What's a panel?: A panel generally lasts for about an hour, and functions a bit like a lecture, where employers can present and students can ask questions.


Organization

Employer characters will create separate threads for their booths and panels. Students, professors, and employers can also create more general social threads that don't necessarily lead to career talk. The threads are open to all students, so if you missed out on signing up, you can still post!

What sort of demonstrations will be in the booth?: Very similar to the Quidditch Fan Tent at Winter Fest only it will focus more on recruiting and less on fan interaction. Scouts, players and media personalities will likely be there in abundance.
Will you hold a Panel for students to ask questions?: Yes, some players have agreed to sit on a panel and do a Q&A. The official line up won't be known or released until closer to the date (to help minimize a frenzy).

What sort of demonstrations will be in the booth?: They'll think of something, no doubt about that. There will be demonstrations.
Will you hold a Panel for students to ask questions?: No. But the might do a larger demonstration in its place. With all the controversy and crime floating, opening an hour long Q&A seems like a very bad idea. Students with serious interest in the profession can inquire at the booth. But I can't see Raynor passing up an hour slot of advertisement.

What sort of demonstrations will be in the booth? Aleron participates in archaeological digs every summer. He 's sponsoring an all-magical dig for the approaching summer, and will have brochures and applications for prospective interns.

What sort of demonstrations will be in the booth?: Tips and tools of trade for Charlotte's latest hobby career path: event planning! Students interested public relations, party planning, and professional social butterflyism should sign up. Charlotte will discuss her experiences hosting charity galas and networking with the uppercrust of Wizarding London.
Will you hold a Panel for students to ask questions?: She will have a team of people present to dispense wisdom on accounts and budgeting, charity tax write-offs, and the more boring, tedious details of having fun professionally. There will also be a Q&A covering topics including but not limited to: Dressing For Success, Getting What You Want Without Too Much Effort, Working Smarter, Not Harder, and Discovering What's Chic Before Anyone Knows It's Chic.
