[March 22] Awkward Apologies

on April 29, 2011, 09:20:00 PM

Callum had been working to change his reputation. Before his fifth year, it hadn't been a problem. He had been mostly well behaved (sure he got into fights, but he hadn't managed to totally ruin his reputation). Callum had gone to the meeting yesterday that the deputy headmaster had about a wizard heritage club, and had actually paid attention in magical creatures- and it seemed that Professor O Morain had been working to encourage people to stick together- especially with their own house.

Amherst hadn't really done anything wrong other than like boys. THey'd been friends when they were younger. They were purebloods. And up until Amherst had been so obviously... well, so obvious about things and started to shack up with Schlagenweit there hadn't been any issues.

And, oddly enough for Callum, he began to agree that he should stick together with those of his house. He was quidditch captain now, which meant that he was a role model. And Callum didn't want to encourage other kids to butt heads with authority like he had, or encourage them to beat other kids up. Fighting wasn't great for house points - or for keeping kids on his quidditch team.

So Callum decided it was time to do the right thing (which was long overdue, considering he generally followed a very strict moral compass- even if his morals were slightly skewed) and that he would just apologize to Amherst. The two would never be friends, but he could at least call a truce. He figured after the hell he'd put Amherst through, that the kid deserved it.

Callum found Amherst sitting in the common room, and stopped in front of him. "Got a few moments Amherst?" Callum asked.
