[March 10] Kiss Me, Maybe Then I'll Survive... (Open)

The moment he walked into a crowded area, the bodies parted instantly leaving a clear path in front of him.  Swinging his bag over his shoulder, the Gryffindor started to make his way to the staircase.  His fluid walk attracted many ‘aw’s of approval as the eyes of every occupant watched him.  Girls swooned as he flicked his head, allowing his bangs to brush over to one side.  Guys marveled at the boy’s effeminate look; his feline-like eyes, his pink lips, and his small figure.  The Gryffindor smiled at no one particular in the crowd which caused the eruption of high-pitched giggles from the girls.  He also could have sworn he heard someone comment about how perfect his skin was, not that he didn’t know it already.  Reaching the stairs and beginning to ascend, he could hear the footsteps of his admirers following him.  The boy grinned to himself and turned around...

... There was no one there.

Eli turned back around, shut his eyes, and lightly smacked himself on the forehead.  Once again he had to face the reality that his life wasn’t a Korean drama and he wasn’t the dashing lead that every boy and girl in the school would kill to be with.  He was Eli Park, the attractive 7th year Gryffindor that maybe some boys and girls in school would kill to be with... or at least snog.  That was the reality Eli could accept. For now.

Sighing, Eli proceeded up to the seventh floor and entered the Gryffindor common room.  He plopped himself down on his favorite seat in the house and curled his legs up to his chest.  This feeling, he just couldn’t shake it.  The feeling that he was lacking something, that there was something in his life that wasn’t in it’s place... He had been feeling this way for awhile now.  But Eli hated it!  He was completely not himself this way!  Really, he was so much better than this walking shell that looked like the Eli Park, but wasn’t.

Picking up his bag, Eli pulled out one of his portable mirrors and looked into it.  The face staring back sure looked like him.  It had the same feline eyes, same fair skin, same pink lips.... He was still as good-looking as ever before!  “.... then how could such a pretty face like mine be so...” Off? Upset? Troubled?  Eli was so lost into his own thoughts that they just started slipping out in audible words.  That was, until he caught himself and shook his head.  Eli took a deep breath and stood up.

“Someone... anyone... come kiss me!”

Since mid-February, Kit had thrown herself back into her studies (scholastic and otherwise). She had had her fun, so to speak, for all the good it had done her. Well in one sense it had done her good. She had certainly noticed she approached her martial actives with more...vigor. Didn't mean she hadn't forgiven Mr. Tawse for using her as an object or treating her in such a fashion. Unladylike to hold a grudge, especially for nearly a month, but there it was.

She was on her way down the stairs and to the library, dressed in her typical day wear that was more formal than her uniform.

Someone... anyone... come kiss me!

Kit halted in her steps, pale eyes widening as she stood right where she was on the bottom step.

"I beg your pardon," she said. It was an automatic response when dealing with the strange antics and expressions of her classmates. It hadn't been an automatic response until about halfway through her third year. The other students were to thank for that. But even for the usual antics of Hogwarts students, begging for kisses was a new one.

"That's...very forward of you," Kit said. She still hadn't moved from the bottom of the stairs. She had been trying to come up with a polite response in addition to the automatic reaction. She was getting very good at being politely indignant.

Eli’s sudden outburst had stirred up a mixture of reactions throughout the common room.  It was expected, though.  A sudden demand for a smooch was not something you heard every day... even in such a place as the Gryffindor common room.  Giggles erupted from a group of young girls over off in a corner while the older girls looked at him partially in shock and partially disgusted.  (Yeah, well, that was fine by Eli.  They weren’t his type anyway).  And in another part of the common room, the students who were actually acquainted with the older Gryffindor, had already returned back to what they had been doing before, completely unsurprised.

”I beg your pardon..... That's...very forward of you.”

Eli turned in the direction of the only voice that had responded to him.  Forward of him?  This must be someone who did not know him very well.  He looked her over for a brief second and quickly came to the conclusion that no, he didn’t know the girl’s name which meant they either hadn’t formally met before or he had forgotten it, but yes, she did look familiar.  So a familiar, very well dressed girl whom he didn’t know the name of thought he was being ‘forward’.  From her viewpoint, Eli could understand... but from his viewpoint, this was all just gravy.  He was Eli Park.  To most people, that was a good enough explanation.

“I suppose you’re right,” Eli responded contemplatively.  He took a few steps nearer to the girl, “But I’m afraid I don’t know of any other way, at the moment, to get want I want.  I want a kiss, so I asked for one.”  He glanced briefly down at her wrist, “Lovely bracelet by the way.”
