Physical Description: Naila is quite fond a person's natural beauty, and so is very proud of imposing her own beauty and charm onto others without hindering it with artificial
embellishments.
has bold curves that are delicately carved into a long slender ivory-skinned figure with golden strawberry hair tumbling down her back, and she has a bright blue-eyed gaze, accented by sharp amber brows, that is often mischievously staring out from beneath some wayward fallen blond locks that frame rosy lush lips that part into white a predatory smile.
When Naila
decides to wear clothes she picks simple, practical, or elegant outfits that compliment and easily drape over or hug against her form rather than add some unneeded illusion to look at--she prefers drawing attention to her posture, mannerisms, and to the husk that often brushes against her rich and melodic voice that can skillfully maneuver through various rare languages as if she were freshly plucked the wild.
Personality Description: Naila is wild
and classy. With her veela charm she's found that there is plenty a person can get away with if they can focus the right kind of attention onto the situation--and so she does, and often surrounds herself with an enthusiastic, carefree, and passionate crowd that she loves to egg on with her own natural charisma.
Often times, she can overdo this, but holds enough confidence and common sense to be able to know when it's best to stop and redirect attention elsewhere--causing her to be unintentionally domineering in most social situations while never succumbing to her own ego--though she will take the opportunity to show it off every so often, usually along with a man affectionately hooked around each of her arms.
However, while she is passionate and loving, she is quite picky about who she lets become a permanent addition in her life--or in her bed. Her veela charm can make relationships dull and far too simple for her tastes, and so she prefers to surround herself with very challenging personalities, whom entertain her and whom she keeps entertained in return. And her true lovers are few and far between (and often know how to keep a secret).
These tendencies and habits, thrown together, produces plenty of rumors, mostly false and fantastically imaginative--but Naila does enjoy them if only to revel, confuse, and entertain others with them.
History: Matteo Ferrari was wedded into a well-arranged pureblood marriage. It was quaint, yet loveless.
During a summer in Venice he happened across a woman named Vareena and the two immediately indulged in a love affair. However he could only manage it during summer outings or vacations, as the woman refused to give-in to the lifestyle of a mistress.
She even feared becoming a “pet” because unbeknownst to him, at the time, the woman was a Veela and was much more comfortable around creatures than “beings,” or pureblooded prejudice. But she did have two childs by him, Idara and Naila, but kept them both distant from witches and wizards, still fearing discrimination. So she raised her daughters off on her own among other creatures rather than humans, muggles, or wizards.
However, Matteo’s
marriage failed to produce any children, and as his obvious distracted affections tbecame apparent to his wife, she divorced and left him. His family considered him a disappointment and cut him off until he rekindled the love.
Distraught, and seeking comfort, Matteo wished to find Vareena and spent his last amount of resources to do so. In the process, he had learned that she was a Veela and that she had two daughters, and after finally finding her, learned they both were his.
After rough fights, pestering, and persuasion Vareena became a permanent part of Matteo’s life, and he was permanently disowned from his family. He spent a lot of time adjusting to the new women in his life, and a shift of perspective on life in general. However, he still felt alienated in comparison to his earthy children, but his affections developed in an awkward but forgiving way. He proved his love by other means, because, by the skin of his teeth, he managed to send Idara and Naila off to Beauxbatons.
Naila was great in school, and took a particular interest in Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Potions and Transfiguration.
Once Naila graduated, she focused on her travels and interactions with other magical creatures. Eventually she came across Shela Byrne, a female Parseltongue able to make music and art with her language and a few steel drums. Naila’s love for animals and a genuine interest in the band had her join, mostly for her own amusement and some spare change rather than anything permanent.
Her dancing, and singing, drew in a strong starting male fan-base, while her singing, songwriting, and crazy choreography with Shela’s trained ambition and professional attitude slowly attracted and secured more band members and many more fans. They named themselves Wild Beings. When being a part of the band was more about self-fulfillment and entertainment than a simple amusement, Naila decided she was staying for good.
After gaining popularity in the UK from their international fame, the band spends their time running around doing concerts around Europe. Naila spends her time at clubs like Signature and Calaveras, the latter of which she loves to, and is generously allowed to, sing at until her heart is content.
Describe your job duties and how you go about them: Naila is co-founder, singer, dancer, and choreographer for Wild Beings--however, the band also focuses on conservationist efforts, and so, while they use creatures for their shows, they also care for them until they can release them into the appropiate environment. So Naila also uses her skill with rare languages to sing during shows or to communicate with creatures and to get them ready for a show or to just tend to their needs.
Elaborate on your expertise in your field: Naila spent a lot of her early life around creatures and nature moreso than city or a normal wizarding social life, so she is more socially acquainted with the wild, and able to understand the rare languages of wildlife very well. Afterwards she traveled the world working with creatures as a naturalist. While she was in school she was also trained to be an excellent dancer and singer, and also worked at restaurants, burlesque clubs, or clubs on the side, until she finally joined Wild Beings.
Writing Sample: Sum up your character in one paragraph: She is confident and dominant in any social situation. She not only loves attention but makes tries and make it as entertaining and fun as possible otherwise it’s not any attention she wants. Loves to tease, flirt, and play, but hardly ever goes beyond that type of interaction. With friends she is affectionate and calm, and an entertainer through and through.
