It had merely started out as an idea. Regina and Beatrix had always been rather friendly. They were good friends, really. It was a simple suggestion. Reggie had told Beatrix she never snuck out before, so Beatrix joked that... Hey. Maybe they could sneak out that weekend and have a little fun. But being Beatrix, that small joke turned into a whirlwind of thoughts. Thoughts turned to plans. Plans turned to actions. Beatrix always lusted over the fun and the rebellious. It was a surprise she hadn't stabbed someone with the switchblade she obtained way back when she was hanging around her brother, Mikey. Mikey had told her it was a bad idea... But Beatrix usually just used it to cut apples, anyways.
The school had put up guards. All over. There was no possible way Beatrix and Reggie could sneak out. Nope. No way. They would just have to be good girls. Beatrix couldn't just morph herself into one of the workers... No sir. She couldn't sneak past them with a charmed Reggie. She wouldn't look as if she was just patrolling the castle, oh so nonchalantly. That idea was mad. Crazy. They would never go through with it.
Then why was Beatrix getting dressed and fixing herself up in the middle of the night?
She knew it was bonkers. It was
all bonkers. But she couldn't resist a little fun with a girly friend. It would be fun... She had to remember that. It wasn't like she would be running into another werewolf. Or even getting caught. Beatrix was a Ravenclaw, for heaven's sake. No way, Jose. She was going to be fine. Just her and Reggie. Beatrix felt a small lump in her throat. The voice of reason was trying to chime in. She wouldn't let it. She kept her lips sealed. Her lips that were coated in pink lipgloss. Beatrix wanted to look just a tad older than sixteen... Seventeen at the most. She wanted the full Hogsmeade nightlife experience.
Beatrix stared at herself in the mirror. She looked like one of those loose women she saw hanging around Signature. At least... One of the younger ones. It was
perfect.
But Beatrix wasn't wearing her clothes... Not just yet. She kept her stuff tucked away in a charmed pouch that she hadn't planned on keeping. She was going to ditch it after she changed, since it was just a small piece of junk she bought for two knuts for that occasion. Mocking the typical uniform she saw an MLE woman wearing before. Beatrix picked this specific woman because she was nearly as small as Beatrix. She was just very threatening and serious looking... That would probably be Beatrix's problem. She wasn't threatening at all. Nor was she very serious. Well, she tried to be... It just didn't work.
She took a moment to force a stern expression of her face before exiting the common room and making her way towards the Gryffindor portrait. One of the few reasons she loved Gryffindors... They weren't very far from the Ravenclaw tower. Not as far as the other houses. Gryffindors were still ogreish and scary at times (unless they were like Kittie Branwell... Then they were just snippy jerks), but Reggie was a nice girl. A section of the few friends Bea had were from Gryffindor, anyways. She felt very bad for being biased, but she was dating a Slytherin, after all.
The morphed Beatrix found Regina right when she was leaving the common room. With stern expression locked in place, Beatrix tutted. "Excuse me, Miss... Where do you think
you're going?" she glared at Reggie, seeing if she would really fall for her act. After a moment, her bubbly smile cracked on the fake, rugged face. "Just kidding! Come here so I can charm you, yeah? I can get you past security with no problem," she nodded and pulled out her wand. It took her a moment for Bea's disillusionment charm to spread over the Gryffindor's body, but the end result was very pleasing. "I would try an invisible charm on you, but I haven't tested it on people yet and I'm afraid I'd hurt you somehow..." she paused, "I'll have to test it on Razzy next time I see him. That'd be fun."
It took another moment for Beatrix to perfect the serious expression once more. Once she had it in place, she began to lead Regina away from the Gryffindor portrait. She kept quiet, concentrating on her act and trying to remain inconspicuous. Beatrix had kept track of the woman's schedule. She knew every day the woman worked. Tonight wasn't her nights. Hopefully. Beatrix really hoped it wasn't. If she ran into a doppelganger, she would have to run for it. And then she'd feel bad, because she wouldn't be able to get Reggie in time. She had no clue where the girl was at that moment.
She peeked back for a moment, looking for any sign of Regina. She had a feeling Reggie was right behind her... Lingering not too far away. Beatrix wasn't certain, but she simply felt it. It was a weird chill on her skin. She only hoped she was right.
Once they were downstairs, Beatrix shook out her hands before opening one of the heavy doors to the outside. She was greeted to the blank expressions of other MLE workers. For a moment, they just stared at her. She waited until she felt Reggie brush past her before closing the door behind her. The workers looked away finally. A soothing sense of relief flooded over her body. She casually made her way down the steps before a man spoke up to her.
"Oi, Margot... Can you get Joey to come over if you're headin' that way?"Beatrix turned her deep scowl to the man and nodded. The man smiled in thanks, and she continued making her way past the rest of the workers, towards the gates leading to Hogsmeade. Beatrix still felt a bit uneasy, however. What if one of them stopped her and asked why she was going that way? It had to look odd. It just
had to. Beatrix was going to get caught. At least Reggie still had a chance, however. She could run for it. She could get back into her dorm, safely.
She spotted another group of workers, near the gate. Beatrix cleared her throat and her eyes stayed glued on the giant doors. She was so close to getting out. Oh so close. "Joey?" She called out, watching one of the bigger figures turn to her. "You're... Wanted..." She told him, trying to control herself. She was doing alright at acting calm, but inside she was dying. The man nodded with a big grin and headed back past her. Bea's eyes fell onto the rest of the group.
"You okay, Margot? Your voice sounds a little... High..." A woman asked Beatrix. Bea shrugged, afraid to speak again. But she pursed her lips and sighed,
"I'm okay. Just need a drink," she responded, purposely cracking her voice.
"Good idea... Here, let me get the gate for you."Bea's eyebrows nearly rose in astonishment but she remained focused. She couldn't believe how easy it was. She paused by the gate, waiting for Reggie to brush her again. She gave the other woman the fake smile she saw Margot crack every once in a while. "Thanks. I won't be long," Beatrix told her. The woman smiled back and shrugged. It was nothing to her. MLE workers seemed pretty nice. Beatrix would have to consider it as a potential career. But she really looked up to Dazmond... And she really liked Potions. Beatrix longed to be in the business of selling potions. It was unnerving. She was two years away from graduating and she still wasn't sure what she wanted as a career.
She pushed past those thoughts and immediately followed the blob of Reggie before her once she felt the girl brush her arm. The gate closed behind them. Thoughts of how they would get back left Beatrix's mind. They were basically home free. Once they were a good ways away from the gate, when she could no longer see the group of workers, she began running as fast as she could. She wanted to find a nice place to change clothes. Someplace dark, where they wouldn't be spotted.
Beatrix stopped at one point, pulling her wand out and taking a moment to catch her breath. "Reggie... Come here..." She waited for the other girl to respond before undoing her charm. The pretty face of Regina Grayson soon graced her presence and she morphed right back into her lovely Beatrix-y self. "I'll just change here," she announced, pulling off her shirt without even blinking. Normally, Bea was self conscious about her skinny, pale body... But this was Reggie. She was a girl, too. A straight girl. She remembered her vaguely kinda/sorta telling her about how she had the hots for the head boy and whatnot. She was a girly friend. Girly friends were nothing to worry about.
Within a few minutes, Beatrix had changed rather easily and effectively. She tucked the pouch away under a tree, hoping she would find it when they were coming back. If not, some hobo probably found themselves a new outfit. Beatrix shoved her hands in her coat pockets and sighed. Leather was so cozy. Especially when it was cold out, just like that night.
She smiled and began walking side-by-side with Reggie into Hogsmeade. They finally made it. They would tear up that town like there was no tomorrow. Or, at least... No school. Which there wasn't. Because it was a Sunday. Beatrix finally turned to Reggie, smile bright as can be,
"So, sweet cheeks. What do you want to do first?" She asked, a bubbly giggle following quickly after, "We could go cause mischief... Or even visit a club. I've gotten into Signature before! I met the owner. He's a bloody fine specimen, he is." Her cheeks were beginning to flush from the cold and she breathed out, letting the air stream out like steam. There was no possible way this night could go wrong. Not when she had a Gryffindor by her side. They were brave. And Ravenclaws were intelligent. It was going to be amazingly awesome.
