[March 6] Nothing but a familiar face [Yoona]

Friday, March 6th, 2009. Morning.

Trina was beginning to think drinking so much last night, but couldn’t do too much about it.  Nor could she have done anything about the lack of coffee in her entire house. So upon waking up and realizing this, she decided to head over to her favorite coffee place in Diagon Alley. She quickly threw on her favorite lazy day dress and some tights, and then the shoes from last night. Near the shoes, she found her purse from last night, still holding her money, and grabbed that as well, before apparating to the Alley.

Thankfully there wasn’t too long of a line in the shop when Trina got there.  Staying up so late last night hadn’t been the best idea. And of course, she hadn’t turned off her alarm. And as soon as that woke her up, she couldn’t get back to sleep.  So turning to coffee was the best idea for Trina.  Her mind went over various parts from the previous night as she waited to give her order.  Once that was in, she took a seat at one of the tables inside. It was still a bit on the chilly side, for the beginning of March, and she had of course forgotten a jacket.

As she waited, Trina noticed an woman the table over who looked familiar.  As she racked her brain from where she might know her, it came to her suddenly.  They’d kind of met each other at the party at Signature the previous night.  Trina was also fairly certain she’d seen her at a couple other parties or outings.  She seemed like a fun person, so Trina decided to try starting up a conversation.

“You were at Signature last night, right? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you around the night scene before. I’m Trina.” She gave the gal a smile, and waited to see if she’d either think Trina was weird, or would respond.

Because she was ever the responsible person she was, Yoona had made sure when she left the Ministry Thursday that she had finished her work not for the day, but for the following day as well.  She did so because she knew she was going out that night, she knew she was going to have fun (maybe a little too much, and planned to have Friday to herself to sleep it all off so she'd be refreshed and ready for her other weekend festivities.  However, when you lived in the same apartment building as your aunt (who had the spare key), not all your plans always went the way you wished.  Yoona's Aunt Yeeun came calling early that morning accompanied with Yoona's little cousin, Arisa.  She was begged to take Arisa to school, meaning she would have to get up and out of bed, which, in the end, Yoona agreed to.

That's how she found herself up and about this Friday morning, the very morning she had put aside to sleep through.  But, that was just life.  It didn't take much time for Yoona to re-plan her day.  She could use this extra time to run some overdue errands and go shopping.  Afterall, it was her duty as the older cousin to make sure her baby cousin was the most fashionable accessorize-er at her school.  If Yoona had it her way, she'd be able to make Arisa the best dressed as well.  She abhorred the idea of school uniforms even to the point of taking the issue to the parent/teacher association for re-evaluation.  Though she was struck down, Yoona still made it her business to dote on little Arisa by buying her colorful hair ribbons and the finest shoes.

Before heading out and about though, Yoona couldn't hold off her need for morning coffee any longer.  That's how she found herself at her favorite coffee joint in Diagon Alley.  It seemed she had luckily missed the extreme morning rush, having been able to get her coffee, find an unclaimed copy of the Prophet, and sit down at an empty table all within a relatively short amount of time.

“You were at Signature last night, right? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you around the night scene before. I’m Trina.”

Yoona had been glancing over the paper in front of her and hadn't noticed the other woman come up.  As she looked up at Trina, she was able to confirm that yes, she had indeed seen her last night and that her face was quite a familiar one indeed.  Yoona immediately smiled.  It was always nice to meet a fellow party-goer.

"Yeah, I was!  And I think I've seen you around too.  I'm Yoona," She extended her hand politely, "You want to sit and join me?"
