[March 7] So a squib and a werewolf walk into a record store... [Ollie] on January 29, 2011, 08:12:54 AM Abby had decided that it was about time she update her record collection, partly because she was sick of the music she had, and partly because Aileen was getting used to the songs and blocking them out instead of yelling up at her to turn it down. That had to change. As she walked into Reducto Records, she glanced around, wondering if she'd catch a glimpse of Matilda Quinn (who she'd dubbed 'the other squib' in her head), or Jacoba, Sasha's muggle sister. She didn't look too hard, and quickly made her way to the new record section, where the latest hits were displayed with animated pictures on the covers and blinking album titles. Another girl was in front of it, and Abby stood next to her, looking at her curiously because she seemed to be around her age, yet she wasn't in Hogwarts. Then she caught a glimpse of the album in her hand. Wild Beings' latest! Abby grinned, thinking that the teen resembled a wild being herself with her head of messy curls. Not that Abby was one to talk. Though fashionably dressed, her high bun had quite a few curls poking loose from it."You're a fan of Wild Beings too? Have you heard their new stuff yet?" She asked her, having no problem making conversation with strangers. Skip to next post Re: [March 7] So a squib and a werewolf walk into a record store... [Ollie] Reply #1 on February 02, 2011, 01:17:20 AM Music was calming to Ollie and any time she went out to Diagon Alley for the day Reducto Records was one of her first stops. She always found herself in London as it got closer to the full moon, since she stopped in at the Ministry for a check up. She was not feeling her normal perky self, but she was nowhere near the sullen teenager she turned into closer to the full moon. Ollie was getting that tired feeling, but she could push the normally perky Ollie through the tiredness if she tried hard enough.Looking through the new releases she smiled at the Wild Beings, she picked it up and looked it over. This might be one of her purchases for the day. She was reading the song list when another girl came up beside her. It was a bit strange that this girl wasn’t in school. Then again Ollie herself probably seemed a bit strange not being at Hogwarts. “No I haven’t heard the new stuff yet. Generally love it though. I relate to it.” Ollie said with a grin looking at the blonde girl. She was rather cute. Ollie gave her the once over before settling on her face and giving the girl a smile. “Are you a big fan?”Ollie was already taking a liking to this girl, and not just because she was a pretty face. Ollie was actually extremely stoked about finding a fellow Wild Beings fan. Skip to next post Re: [March 7] So a squib and a werewolf walk into a record store... [Ollie] Reply #2 on February 03, 2011, 07:26:19 PM Abby was pleasantly surprised when the girl smiled at her and acted friendly. Sometimes, when attempted conversation with people her own age, they tried so hard to seem unimpressed and aloof that Abby got bored with them (it didn't take much), and she ended up taking her perkiness elsewhere. Like home. Where her crup at least appreciated her."Yup, definitely!" Abby replied, noticing the once-over, but assuming the girl had given her that look because she dressed well. "I have all their other records."She grinned back. "You can relate to it? Can you speak mermish? Or talk to birds? Or train snakes to hide in my sister's shoes? Because that would be pretty awesome."She didn't really expect this stranger to be able to do any of those things, but it was fun to joke about it anyway! [Ollie] Reply #3 on February 25, 2011, 01:15:09 AM “As cool as training a snake to hide in your sister’s shoes would be, I can’t do any of those things.” Ollie paused and looked at the girl, “Well I don’t think I can speak mermish, I have never tried.” She chuckled and flashed a slight smile. Despite the very fact she was feeling worn down she was trying to ignore it. It was days away before the next full moon and she hated how much of a toll the days before could take. It was no wonder it took a few days to recover after the seemingly week long ordeal.“It is more I can understand the beast aspect. I can relate to that.” She shrugged her shoulders. If the girl really wanted to know what she meant when she said this, she supposed she would tell her. Sometimes she wished she could just wear a piece of jewellery that identified her as a werewolf, but then that would also suck. It was nobodies business whether she was a werewolf or not. It wasn’t like she harmed other people.“Why do you like them?” She asked eying the girl again. Skip to next post Re: [March 7] So a squib and a werewolf walk into a record store... [Ollie] Reply #4 on February 25, 2011, 11:15:39 AM Abby would have felt jealous if Ollie could have commanded a snake to hide in someone's shoes. She raised her eyebrows in amusement when the girl commented that she could understand the beast aspect. That seemed odd."You don't look beastly!" Abby laughed, thinking she was joking around. The girl did look a bit tired, but even Abby was too polite to comment on that."I just think they sound fun. It's different from other music. Makes it impossible to sing along to, but that's fun to try, too. Gets you lots of weird looks. The language part is interesting, like where they learn these things. I'd love to be able to holler at someone in Mermish. I'm Abby, by the way." She introduced herself without much thought, curious to know who this person with good taste in music was and why she was not in Hogwarts. Skip to next post
