LONDON - Chalk another one up to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.  It was announced today that the case of the runespoor venom explosion that took place on October 15 has been closed.

Rafe Sellaphix (42), the owner of Sellaphix Apothecary in Knockturn Alley, has been convicted of trading in illegal reagents, and hundreds of counts of trading in a variety of controlled substances over the span of twenty-five years.  Sellaphix has been sentenced to serve seven years in Azkaban.

Nathan Briggs (25), a suspect and witness in the case, provided the key testimony against Sellaphix.  Charges against Briggs were reduced for his cooperation and served only two weeks in the Ministry dungeons for what Level Two calls 'administrative detainment'.

Former Death Eater, and Azkaban convict Cinaed Tawse (27) was heavily investigated for his role in the attack.  However, no charges were filed against Tawse.  Tawse served 76 months for charges of sedition, treason, assault and murder during the Battle of Hogwarts.
