I wanted to express my gratitude for your chivalry during our recent encounter at the Madame Malkin's robe shop. Typically I find such a trait to be gaudy and offensive, yet you managed the display with the proper class and grace befitting a man of your status and breeding.

I must admit I am not a lady of great familiarity with spirits, as such I am certain the attached bottle of brandy will fall short of your impeccable tastes, but I have been assured by many it is one of the best brands (and I assume years) available for purchase.

Thank you very much for your kind gift, and I assure you your choice of brandy was excellent - considerable better than much of the stuff I have, as I often go through the brandy of high quality quickly - the hazards of having business relations who love the stuff as well as I. I look forward to emptying this bottle as well!

Do let me know if our dear Mister Trevelyan is harassing you again. I will be happy to give him a different trail to follow, if you like - Aurors such as himself are incredibly valuable, you see. Predictable and loyal as dogs, you will hopefully find your way around them in time, my dear lady.
