Alma Mater: Beauxbatons

Physical Description: Henriette is very beautiful thanks to her Veela traits with long, silvery-blond hair and ivory skin that shines in the light. Her figure is slender, tall, and voluptuous and she walks with an air of high class and dark mystery. The young woman's face is oval with vivid, green eyes that slant at the corners only a tad, a medium, thin nose with small nostrils, low cheekbones, and lips that look much fuller with lipstick on them. She could be a model if she chose it and it's a surprise that she hasn't done any such work in the way of glamorous entertainment.
Her clothes are carefully chosen to fit her taste (which is always expensive) and on occasion, she likes to delve into her secret desires of wearing crazy-fun outfits. There are one or two scars in unrevealed places that show her expertise in dueling when she was in school. To prove that she has a wild-side, Henriette has a tattoo on her back.
Personality Description: She is a very beautiful and charismatic young woman with the same interests as any spoiled, rich girl straight out of school: to become famous and powerful. Unfortunately, Henriette hasn't the actual desire for the lime-light; that's an acquired taste. She prefers to work with people and power simultaneously. If one is in the lime-light, they can't be in power. The person moving the lights and microphones, however, is where all of the power lies and to her, power is as exquisite to her mouth as melted chocolate.
Henriette has nerve and lots of it. It can often come across as arrogance, a superiority complex, and vanity (not that she would deny she has such flaws), but in reality, she immensely enjoys being the person who influences others. This puts her in a position where, in gratitude for her persuading tongue and talent in judging the potential of people, those she influences can often spoil her rotten with the fruits of their success.
She is a people person through and through. Having leisurely spent a lot of time watching her family (both immediate and second) in their wily ways, Henriette managed to obtain a way with words. Her beauty isn't used half as much as her charismatic trait of being skilled in persuasion or reverse psychology. She is very gifted at getting what she wants which is usually for people to meet one another in order for her to reap the benefits of the next idol in the wizarding world.
There is also a darker side to Henriette, a side that she releases from time to time upon the world around her. While her temper is very calm and hardly existent, there is an addiction deep within her to danger. This half of Henriette can often sweep her off her feet and carry her into treacherous waters. She is at times reckless, unwilling to listen to the warnings of caution, and revels in the adrenaline rush that comes with risking her life and health. It's not necessarily always dueling, but meeting shifty characters, going into dodgy places, and playing hard-ball with the bad boys are always fun and games. Should a dragon find itself loose in a nearby village, she is there to take it head-on. This part of Henriette is not the good side and it can be very gullible to those with more evil intentions if she does not watch her step.
History: Born as the middle child to Gwenaëlle Chancelier and Zachary Vincent, Henriette grew up almost unimportant. Almost. Caught between "we're-so-proud-of-our-oldest" Alix and "look-at-our-baby" Jade, she remained little more than "oh-and-look-at-her" Henriette. Her parents paid her the least bit of attention because she was neither the oldest nor the baby.
As a toddler and a young child, it did some damage, but not much. While breaking a toy in frustration, she would turn her rage into arrogance: "They pay attention to my sisters because they're not as pretty as me. They won't look at me because they're jealous." It may have been a lie, but this was how she was able to cope with being insignificant.
Her years in Beauxbatons improved greatly. She watched her sister, Alix, make friends and decided to do the same. It didn't happen as easily as it had for Alix because Henriette had replaced her insecurities with arrogance; people, she discovered, did not like being around someone that was arrogant. So, in her second year, she toned down the arrogance. People flocked to her when she tried to help them with their homework. She was very good at remembering things and tried to use this to her advantage at first by aiding them in notes, then by pointing out to them that they had weaknesses that could be transformed into strengths if they worked at it. Lots of her friends were offended by this due to the way that she said it. Again, Henriette learned from her mistake and tried to hone her words. A few pats on the back here, a boost of confidence there, and they were ready to listen to whatever she had to say. Her honesty (though sugar-coated) became her ally.
During her fourth and fifth years, Henriette took her time to watch people. They would hide traits like insecurities or anxious habits around the opposite sex (when it occurred) and she would see that they were capable of it when around friends. Once she pointed this out to them, they were very grateful. It was during this time that Henriette realized she could find the potential in people, help them to see it themselves, and get them back on the playground.
It was her practices during her years at Beauxbatons with her girlfriends and classmates that gave her an idea of what she wanted to do with her life. Her arrogance would not allow her to do anything other than play around the famous and the rich; she believed herself important and skilled enough to keep up with them and that was exactly what she planned to do. For her parents' sake, Henriette graduated from Beauxbatons, but she did not become a fashion designer or a ministry official as they had hoped. Instead, she broke into the business of Public Relations, got together with a few of her old classmates, and when the businesses started seeing how many clients she found and started turning into stars, the middle Vincent sister began to work her way up the ladder. Here and there, it was not planned, but her Veela traits had quite a bit to do with how quickly she rose in the business. She has come to realize how stressful the job is as of late, but she remains the #1 rookie among her peers.
Describe your job duties and how you go about them: Henriette is a public relations specialist. She has power over people and enjoys working with them in order to profit from their success stories. She has influence due to her charismatic nature, connections in many different places, Veela charm that involuntarily (and rarely voluntarily) gives her help, and stays on top of her resources.
Henriette's job is very complex. She must know what's going on and who's who in the wizarding world, be spot on when it comes to her market and what the people want or need, and she also has to know exactly where to go to find the next best thing or who to talk to when she does find them. Basically, she's the girl behind the rise of Tomorrow's New Star.
She finds someone with potential in fashion or singing and finds out about their ideas or plans for the future, talks to some of her connections here and there, sets up a dinner date, and hooks them up with the right people. If the person is what they need, she goes around advertising them: setting up junctions, photoshoots, gets their name shoved into the paper several times, concerts with free concert tickets (limited time only!), etc. She is the Advertisement Girl, in a sense, and she's always searching for new talent.
Elaborate on your expertise in your field: Being an excellent judge of character, Henriette has more than a natural gift for finding the next-big-thing. Since she's so young, she likes to travel, go to night-clubs, and meet people. Market researchers are always dying to know what their audience wants and if you send a girl who can make friends and get people to talk as easily as Henriette can, they'll pay her a lot more than a couple of Sickles to find out their information. The best thing about Henriette isn't that she likes to talk, it's that she can get other people to talk and that is what makes her the best in the business.
With her daddy being rich and her mummy knowing half the wizarding world, this girl's got game! She not only knows everyone on the board, but she also knows the Banker, who's wearing the crown of #1 Hottest Model in Czechoslovakia, and the name of their great-aunt's Kneazle!
She also has a good memory for knowledge, so knowing the results of the market research, the phone numbers of the Quidditch Team Scouts, and the famous Wrock Stars' favorite pudding are all handy. To know people, you have to know things about them and among her many talents, one was getting information out of people (though, Henriette always did this without extortion, blackmail, etc.). As long as she can remember details, she can take her clients far.
While it is not necessarily her intent to use Veela charm (Henriette finds it a challenge to use wits over beauty since she has so much of the latter), there have been instances where it has been used. Some people were too stubborn to give her a chance or others flat-out thought she was too young and it had been a
need for her to use her gifts. It was unfair of her to use her beauty in this manner, but all the same, Henriette's ambitions were high and she refused to let a couple of sexist men who thought women shouldn't be working at all (especially young women) stand in her way!
The last qualification needed to be a public relations specialist other than knowing people and how to get them to talk is advertising. That's where her flair comes in: Henriette has always been about publicity. Of course, she takes only a little for herself (the benefit of someone else being in the lime-light far exceeds her own since she can be free to move along when and where she wants to find a new star), but she's the one that puts her sweat, blood, and soul into getting a person famous. The newspapers are alerted of the new singing sensation, the fashion businesses call her up asking her to introduce them to her new star that came up with the most innovative dress, and people of all ages line up outside the book-shop to get a signing of the new best-selling author she discovered on the streets of London writing notes on a napkin in The Leaky Cauldron. She has to have the flair for getting that person recognized by the world and Henriette has never been one to back away from a good cause (or a lost one).
Sum up your character in one paragraph: All-in-all, Henriette Vincent is writing her own success story by making others famous. She is the #1 rookie out of all the new kids to the business (on occasion thanks to her Veela charm) and she just loves the perks that come with the job. Power over the masses, influence over people, and the freedom to go where she wants when she wants (and get paid for it!) are the things that Henriette has always craved. Her occasional dereliction of caution, however, has put her life at risk several times, but that's why she enjoys it.
She is little more than a spoiled, danger-addicted young woman with the arrogance to believe herself important enough that she can persuade people or connect the top artists with the low, insignificant yet talented teenagers she finds crawling around in dumpsters. And she loves her life!
