[Feb. 21st] Slytherin Quidditch Try-Outs (sltyherins only)

Callum had decided that enough time had passed for grieving and that his notices had been up long enough- and thought it was time to get ready for quidditch. So he put up a few noticed in the common room earlier in the week- letting everybody know that there would be quidditch try outs on Saturday, February 21st. Madame Hooch had suggested he start over from scratch- so that was what he intended to do. (Harper aside, of course. He was a damn good seeker and if someone out performed him, only then would Callum replace him.)

Callum decided to leave Evie off of the roster until she showed up. She had mentioned in the common room trying out for a different position- which he took to mean that she didn't have interest in her current position. He'd put her back on if she tried out and still proved to be decent.

"Okay everyone!" he called out after a few had gathered. "I need you all to tell me what positions you're interested in- so that we can get this underway and finally get a decent quidditch team build, alright?"

Erin had no idea what she was doing here.  Though she knew that she shouldn't be here, the fact of the matter was she wanted to spend more time with her sister.  Bellatrix was the person Erin respected most in the school, and was probably the only person who she truly tried to act like a sister too.  Though she and Erin did have a few rough patches at the get go, over the three years that they had been living together in the same house they had mended many fences and actually got along.

So she wanted to play beater.  The thing was though, she did not want to take her sister's spot.  And she doubted she could take the team captain's spot.  So she was wondering how to explain this to the captain.  Yes - I want your spot - not my sisters - because the dark sisters are going to paint the pitch red with the blood of our enemies just wasn't said in pureblood circles.  At least, not in public.  So she was wondering how to do well enough to keep playing with Bellatrix, but not well enough to actually get on the team.  It was an interesting phenomenon.  Wondering if she should just try for some other position, she doubted it.  About the only thing Erin was naturally good at was seeking - but Harper seemed to have that position locked tight.

Figuring that any of the other positions were as good as the other, she declared "I'd like to try my hand at keeper," wondering what she got herself into.  Between this and the dueling club, she wondered if she would have any free time.  C'est la vie Erin thought.

Where the hell is everybody? Callum thought, waiting on other Slytherins to arrive. Why did nobody give a damn about quidditch? It was one of the most important Hogwarts traditions, and it was something that could get you a lot of prestige- if only people cared enough to work hard at it. But, Callum supposed, it seemed that these days Hogwarts students were interested in everything except for working hard. Even though Callum had his faults (hundreds at least), he did work hard with his classes and his extra curriculars- so why didn't others?

The only person so far he'd seen was Erin Dark- who piped up about trying for keeper. He studied her- she was small, frail looking, he wasn't sure if she would be good at it- but he was determined to give everyone a fair chance and to let everyone who wanted to try out have a go at it. "Okay then, Erin," he said with a slight smile. "I'll put you down for trying as keeper."

Callum fidgeted for a moment, before pointing over to a bench he had pulled out for them to gather on to avoid sitting on the ground. "If you want to have a seat, I'd like to wait and see if any other people are going to show up before we get started. Want to give everyone a chance to get here and to try out. Trying to be fair about this."

[Outfit]

Bellatrix arrived that morning fully dressed and ready for Quidditch. In spite of recent events, she was determined to put everything out of her mind by flying and trying her hardest today. The special black and white striped coat that she wore with the number "8" on the back fluttered in the wind as she hurried, broom in hand, towards the pair  standing around waiting: Callum, the Captain, and her younger sister. Today, Bella's hair was a very depressing blue color that had mixed in with her platinum blond and she had tied it up haphazardly into a pair of twin buns. The wand that she had seemed to stop using (except for classes) could be seen clearly attached by a small elastic band on the inside of her unique Quidditch coat, obviously there in case something went wrong. With the lot that would be showing up today, most likely, something would.

She came into the conversation just in time to hear Callum say, "I'll put you down for trying as keeper." This information made a proud expression appear on Bella's face; at least she didn't have to try and knock her sister off her broom to get the position of Beater.

"Keeper, Erin? That sounds good for you." It wasn't meant to be a snide comment, but after a couple of furtive looks at Callum, she quickly realized that it could have come across that way. "I'm being sincere, Captain: my little sister is quick on her broom and, mind you, she does tend to space out a lot, but she has a good eye."

It was hard to imagine that the darker Dark twin could be bragging about a relative of hers, but here she was giving Callum a single matter-of-fact nod as if that solved all of his problems. Of course, she was completely oblivious to how this could have been interpreted by her youngest sibling, but nevertheless, she was trying to be honest and compliment the girl.

"That would be quite a sight when we have a match against Ravenclaw. Erin as Keeper, me as Beater, and of course Bea as Beater. All of the Darks--well, almost all of them--on the field at once..." She trailed off here and let her gaze drop quietly.

There were quite a few things on her mind that were starting to bubble back up. With a shake of her head, the Slytherin girl lifted her unusually dull-blue eyes back up to Callum and straightened herself up to look presentable.

"I'm here to try out for Beater. I've given what you said a great deal of thought, but I'm... I-I think I'd just be better off as a Beater. I've got some, er, some things I need to work out and I--" She paused here and went quiet for a long time. Hesitantly, her eyes darted back and forth quickly from Callum, to the ground, then back to Callum again with a sheepish look. "Sorry... Put me where you think I'd be best."

On that note, Bellatrix settled herself down on the seat he had earlier indicated and placed her head into her hands. It had been such a rough couple of months that she hadn't been her normal aggressive self. Now that she had the opportunity to knock people out again, she wondered if she really wanted all of that anger and aggression back. Nevertheless, it would be the Captain's decision no matter what, so she might as well follow his lead on it. After all, nobody had ever really liked it when Bellatrix was so straight-forward and bullying. Maybe they were starting to like the new super-passive, quiet, almost non-existent Bellatrix Dark?

Aglaia loathed Quidditch. It was such a waste of time, and people would always get dirty and sweaty and gross. However, Aggie's desire to watch her brother in action overpowered that hate. The younger Slytherin enjoyed watching Callum take charge and push people around. He was one of her few role models, after all. The others being Maeve and Neely. However, Aglaia's views on them were quite different than a girl her age would usually think. Sure, Aggie loved their fabulous taste in everything, especially clothes... She was just more reserved when it came to her attire. What she liked about those older girls was that they had power. And Aglaia loved power.

The girl had contemplated walking with her brother to the field, but she wasn't sure if there would be people already there. She wouldn't want to be forced into a situation of wondering whether or not she should be standing by her big brother's side. Going after him would be the easier solution. If he was busy by the time she got there, she'd sit in the stands, if not... Well... A little schmoozing to Callum wouldn't hurt. "You're the best Captain I've ever met, brother". Yes, that sounded pretty good.

Much to Aggie's surprise, hardly any students were there by the time she started walking through the field. She assumed people would be lined up to be in Big Brother's presence. At least, they should be. Her arms flowed along with her skirt in the chilly wind, her characteristic doll face not even flinching as it hit her legs. Aglaia would never not-wear a skirt. Unless she found a very nice romper, which was still not pants. Jeans were unladylike. Her stockings were pulled all the way up to her knees, so the only flesh anyone could see was a small amount of her lower thigh, her hands, and her face and neck. It was a bit peculiar that Aggie hated showing skin. She would be completely horrified if someone saw her arms or upper chest, mostly. How unsophisticated.

When Aggie stopped next to Callum, he was speaking to Erin Dark. Aglaia didn't know her very well, but she had a pretty face and she really liked that. She was okay in Aggie's book. Once he was finished, Aggie spoke up, "If someone else had taken the place of Miss Grosvenor, Callum," she told him, her gaze landing on her older brother, "The Slytherin team would be completely chaotic right now". Of course, it was all sweet talk. She had no clue what she was talking about, but she could just assume Callum was the best of the best. Aggie didn't know Ava all too well, but her death was still tragic for the Slytherin house. It was obvious to see the uneasiness Callum could have been possibly feeling.

When Bellatrix Dark approached the three students, Aggie took a sharp breath in. She looked absolutely hideous. Aggie's eyes darted around the girl's outfit... Dissecting it and growing absolutely sick to her stomach. How was Erin Dark related to the twins? And what happened to Bea, anyway? Aggie could remember when she was actually a nicely put-together young lady. What was wrong with this world? There was no undoing the absolute wrong that Bella was. She was walking trash. She did not exist in Aggie's pure eyes.

Aggie finally released her breath, the air streaming out and forming a low hiss. She finally ripped her glare away from Bella and she turned her back to the awful girl, "Callum, I'm going to sit in the stands now," she announced to him, her eyes slowly flicked to the side, almost signaling her distaste for Bella, "Good luck". With that, she began gracefully trotting her way towards the bleachers. She didn't want to be there long... Hopefully long enough to see some get destroyed by her brother.

She sat, silently, waiting for something to happen. She probably wouldn't ever cheer or speak. Big Brother needed to concentrate... And Aglaia wasn't very fond of showing faux enthusiasm. Because she really didn't care for the sport.

Xavier jogged down to the Quidditch pitch. His hair was soaked with sweat and the light shirt he wore under an open sweater was caked to his muscular chest. He had been carried away working out. He wanted to make sure he was warmed up for try outs and started to lose track of time. He only hoped that Callum didn't see his tardiness as a weakness. He needed Quidditch right now. He needed something structured to get his aggression out so he didn't regress to picking fights or bullying other students again.

He managed to join the group just as Aggie was announcing her departure to the stands. He didn't think the youngest Knight would have been interested in the sport but she was a slytherin and her favourite brother was the new Captain so he supposed it wasn't that odd to see her there.

His cool grey blue eyes moved over to Bella, looking her up and down with a sigh before quickly turning away. He had no idea how he felt right now. After seeing her at the Valentine's dance with Peyton, well he couldn't ignore the fact that it had made him really jealous. Afterall he still liked Bella, a lot and had only broken up with her because he believed that he was never coming back to school. Now though he just wasn't sure. She had been purposely ignoring him and he had Kit to think about. He was definitely attracted to Kit and she drew him in in a way Bella hadn't but he couldn't just ignore the fact that he still cared for the Darker twin.

He shook his head, women. He turned his attention back to Callum and the task at hand, "Beater." He said simply before taking a seat on the other side of Erin from Bella. He wondered if Bella would start hexing him again if he won her spot as Beater.

Erin saw the crowd of people who had gathered.  When she heard her sister speak up, Erin could not help but let loose one of those rare genuine smiles that her mother coveted so much.  After all, if Bellatrix thought it, it must be true.  Though Erin was flighty, she knew she had to impress her sister.  Bellatrix’s words gave Erin resolve, and she vowed to actually impress Callum.  Of course, if Tawse knocked Bellatrix off of the team, she probably would not care to play anyways – but Callum did not need to know that.

The only thing she said was, “Thanks sis,”.

Idly, she wondered if she could coerce Beatrix into sending Bludgers at her other teammates, since they were related.  Or something.  Not that Erin wasn’t above fair play, just as a Slytherin she tried to avoid it wherever possible.  After all, playing on a level field was only something that occurred on accident in that house.  Though she heard Callum had been making a few waves and trying to change himself for the better, Erin just assumed that he had figured out how not to get caught.  Or how to set someone else up as the fall guy.  Either way, it really wasn’t her business, but she did need to talk to Callum if he actually expected her to play in fair matches.  That would be utterly ludicrous.
Deciding she actually needed to address the captain, Erin figured out that she should keep those thoughts to herself, and then try to act on them later.

“Bella is right.  I am pretty good at flying, and it seems we have a handful gathered, should we get started or do you want to wait for more captain?” wondering what the captain had in mind.

Callum eyed Bellatrix's outfit, and shook his head. "You really should show more pride in your house than to wear clothing like that. I'm not saying you have to wear skirts everywhere, but those pants are just unacceptable- especially on my quidditch pitch. Besides, you know O Morain has been cracking down on the dress code- and that's a violation if I ever saw one. Next time we have practice, you'll wear pants that don't belong in the trash, you understand?" Callum gave her a very level stare. "Quidditch is a respectable sport, and you'll treat it that way, or you can be on the reserve team." She was lucky he would let her try out at all- girls didn't belong in quidditch, but that wasn't a battle Callum was willing to fight.

He was distracted by his sister stating that she was going to go sit on the stands. "Alright, Aglaia. Just stay alert- if a rogue bludger catches you, mum and dad will have my head." He gave his sister a sweet smile, watching her trot away. Callum didn't have very many soft spots in his personality, but his relationship with his little sister and his adoration of her was one of them. Callum had worked hard to convince his parents to let her stay at Hogwarts after Ava was found, and now he felt it was his duty to protect her- even more than it had been before. Even Darren and Harold were protective over Aggles- and they hated everyone.

"Right then, Xavier," Callum said, writing his name down. "Bellatrix seems interested in the same position. You two will have to fight it out over it. But I really want her to try for chaser," he said, giving her an eye. "I just think you'd be better there. Light weight means faster flyer, and Xav probably has more power behind his swings. But I'll give you a chance- to be fair." Fair his arse. Everyone knew that he was going to give the position to any boy who tried out over any girl who tried out. Beater was just too brutal for a lady.

He nodded at Erin, when she asked if they should get started. "Yeah, we should get going. Don't want to waist any time. Have you all got your own brooms, or do you need school brooms?" Callum asked. He had brought a few from the locker room. "Going to work with chasers first. Only letting out one bludger, Xav. Keep a sharp eye out for it." Callum tossed a beater's bat to Xavier, and then opened the trunk containing the balls. He pulled out the quaffle, and tossed it to Bella. "Give it a good go, then you and Tawse can switch places and you can have at the bludger for a while, alright?"

"Right then- everyone on your brooms, up in the air, then I'll let out the bludger and I'll join you. I won't be interfering much, mostly here to observe to figure out where everyone fits in best."

Xavier had arrived and this time, it would be hard to ignore him. After all, she wanted to try out for Beater, didn't she? She really had been thinking about what Callum had said in the common room after she had told him she wanted to sign up. Her, a Chaser? What would Bea think? Then again, she wasn't Bea... They were twins, but that didn't mean they had to be the same person. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Xavier take a seat on the other side of her little sister, but she didn't dare look in his direction. Since the ball, she had been straining not to look at him at all and with each passing opportunity, it became harder and harder. When was she going to be Bella again? When was all of this going to go away?

Callum started on the dress code. Her blue eyes flicked upward to her captain, cold and vengeful. He said her pants belonged in the trash! His chiding of her outfit was like tickling a sleeping dragon. There was a heated glare emitting from Bellatrix like she hadn't felt in a while. Suddenly, everything bothered her: Xavier trying out for Beater, Callum telling her she'd make a better Chaser, the Captain practically telling her that she hit like a girl! Bella felt her temper rising and with it, her lithe figure rose in a very slow and dangerous way; she was trembling with anger.

She didn't hear the rest of what Callum was saying because her ears were pounding with the sound of her heart. There was a very strong urge to smack him right across his face and tell him his whole family could just shove their egos where they belonged! Her hands had clenched themselves tightly into fists, but she just stood there. When he tossed her the Quaffle, Bellatrix was honestly surprised that she had caught it. Her glare and fury immediately vanished when her eyes settled on the large, red ball.

"R-right," she said. "Listen, Callum, er, sir, I um..." She struggled to achieve not looking at Xavier or anyone else. "I'll just try out for Chaser. That way, you won't have any trouble with, y'know..."

She trailed off, not bothering to finish her sentence. There was a list of what he could have trouble with: an awkward situation of telling one of them that they wouldn't be Beater, Xavier's reaction to either, or worse...Xavier feeling something towards her be it pity that she didn't get the spot or anger that she did. This was the best way: she could avoid Xavier altogether if she didn't compete against him. Lifting up her own Nimbus1700 from where she had leaned it against the bench, she started to head out with the Quaffle tucked under her arm. Before she could pass, Callum, however, she paused to look him in the eye, her blue eyes once again devoid of energy and devoid of spirit as if someone had just given her a Depression Draught.

"Sorry about the outfit, Callum," she whispered low enough that only he could hear her, "I won't wear stuff like this to games."

Her tone was apologetic and sulky as it had been for the past month or so. With a shrug, Bellatrix decided she would talk to him about clothes if she made the team. If not, well, she'd think about that later. Once she had moved a little out of the way of the tiny crowd that was there, she mounted her broom and kicked off. Her flying was a little shaky because she hadn't been up in the air in a long while; not since summer, anyway. Having the Quaffle tucked under her arm and having to control the broom with a single hand didn't help matters much, but she'd have to get used to it. Once she was about ten feet up in the air, Bellatrix allowed her feet to dangle from her broom carelessly and hovered in place.

It felt good to be back up in the air, though as she had predicted, the cold weather was going to bite her when she started moving. That was the reason for all the extra protection: scarf, arm warmers, the coat, and the pants that belonged in the trash. They may have been tattered, but they were made out of really firm material that kept her body heat inside and the cold out. Bellatrix decided that she couldn't wait for Callum to give a signal. In all honesty, she didn't want to feel weighted down anymore.

"Hang on, Callum, I need to do something first."

Bellatrix tossed her sister the Quaffle to hold onto, firmly gripped her broom handle with both hands, leaned forward on it, and took off around the pitch. She could feel everything changing. Her depression left her behind as if the wind had pushed it out of her and she felt so weightless that nothing mattered anymore. There wasn't a need to look back, only ahead at nothing but an empty Quidditch field where she could loosen up and enjoy something again. Flying wasn't a true passion of hers, but the freedom that came with her rolling, spiraling, diving, flips, and other meaningless tricks on her Nimbus was exhilarating! She actually laughed as she turned onto her broom side-saddled, flipped backward, and flew in a straight line along the pitch dangling devil-may-care from her broomstick by her legs. As soon as she felt in a much better mood than she had been in since Xavier's letter came, Bellatrix returned to the group riding her broom as normally as when she had first kicked off from the ground.

"Sorry, had to get the rust off," was her only excuse.

With a grin, she politely took the Quaffle back from her sister, this time gripping it with her hand instead of keeping it tucked under her arm. Her other hand kept its grip upon the broom handle and she was positively beaming.

"Any time you're ready, Cap'n!"

(((OOC: Modified per thea's request)))

Erin thought that Duke's death was still bugging Bellatrix.  Bellatrix normally wasn't this...whatever it was.  It reminded her of Erin when her sisters forced her to drink the potion.  Yes, she could concentrate, but she would always be so lethargic afterwards.  It kind of killed her personality, and Erin did not like this mellowed out Bella.  Why wasn't she painting the pitch red with the blood of her targets?

After getting airborn, she was surprised when Bella tossed her the quaffle, and even more surprised when she caught it.  As she watched her sister fly off, Erin smiled.  Maybe this was a good idea of hers afterall.  She had not seen Bella that happy in some time.

Unsurprisingly, Erin noticed a metallic object nearby, and was - unsurprisingly - distracted by it.  She then lazily flew over there to investigate it.  It was a small, and had a black laquer on one side of the object when she picked it up.  Wondering whatever it was, and why it was on the pitch she decided to focus on more important things.  For a variety of reasons, though mainly because at that point she noticed Bellatrix relieving her of the quaffle.  Noting that her sister felt a bit better, Erin was still unsure.  Not really sure what to do, she floated over to the hoops.  She assumed that was where keepers went, but honestly, she had no idea.

(godmoding of Xavier approced by Amberlee)

Callum watched as the dark sisters flew into the air, followed by Xavier. Erin floated over toward the hoops, Bella kept her hands on the quaffle. "Alright everybody!" he called out. "I'm going to let go of one of the bludgers." He pulled the straps off of one of the bludgers and watched it fly into the air. "I'll be playing chaser with Bellatrix," Callum said to Xavier as he rose into the air on his own broom. "So you keep an eye on the bludger."

He flew over to Bellatrix, and pointed down toward Erin. "Little Dark- you keep around those hoops. Try to keep us from scoring. Bella- let's practice some basic passes. Throwing back and forth while you're flying is a lot different than hitting a bludger."

He flew out ahead of Bellatrix and motioned for her to pass the quaffle to him. "Fly toward me while you pass it," he told her. Callum wasn't certain whether or not she would feel like he was being condescending- that wasn't his intention, he just wasn't sure her level of experience with the chaser position. "I'm a bit out of practice with it myself," he offered. "So we'll have to be patient with each other, alright?"

She floated along after Callum with the Quaffle gripped tight in her hand, coming to a halt in her slow flying to watch him point at her sister.

"Little Dark- you keep around those hoops. Try to keep us from scoring. Bella- let's practice some basic passes. Throwing back and forth while you're flying is a lot different than hitting a bludger."

Bellatrix stared at Callum for a time to ponder whether or not he knew her little sister's name. She would have gladly told him that her name was Erin, but it suddenly occurred to her that he couldn't call Erin by her first name during Quidditch matches because of Harper and he couldn't call her Dark because of Bella. He was in a tight fix, so Little Dark was good enough. She shrugged, gripped the Quaffle tighter in her hand, and watched Callum fly ahead of her. This was a new experience for her and she was determined to get it down.

"Fly toward me while you pass it."

Had a new energy not been soaring within her, the older Dark sister might have felt really nervous about making a fool of herself in front of Xavier and Callum. However, because of this good mood that had come out of nowhere, she didn't feel anxious at all. In fact, she felt quite refreshed! Leaning forward on her broomstick ever the slightest, she flew forward at a steady pace towards Callum. When she came within a measured distance that she judged with the same precision that she would with swinging her bat to knock a bludger away, she drew her arm back and chucked the Quaffle at him. She didn't stop flying until she reached level with him.

"I'm a bit out of practice with it myself. So we'll have to be patient with each other, alright?"

"Sure," she smiled nonchalantly. Why wasn't anything bothering her? Being patient with Callum Knight? Ooh, her twin would be furious! "I think once I get the hang of it, I can go faster."

She nodded at this statement and took off ahead of him again at a level speed, preparing to try and catch the Quaffle when he tossed it to her. She needed to practice flying and catching, too, after all. What good would a Chaser be if she couldn't catch it?

Doing his best to ignore the presence of his ex girlfriend Xavier straightened his sweat drenched shirt and hopped up on his broom. Actually it wasn't even his broom, he was currently using a school broom but he had owled his grandfather about it., asking for a new broom if he made it on the team, afterall being on the team would help him channel his anger and focus on his studies, making him the model student his Grandfather wanted him to be. As Erin floated over to the goal posts and Callum and Bella started going down the pitch with the quaffle Xavier rose up a bit higher, not quite as high as a seeker may sit but higher than the two chasers.

With the quaffle being passed back and forth Xavier twirled his beater bat. Once again he was using one of the school bats. He supposed if he was going to ask for a broom he might as well ask for a shiny new bat as well. Although he'd wait on asking for it. There was no sense in asking for equipment he didn't need. First he had to make it on the team, then he had to secure his place as a beater. Being up against Bella for the position made him a little nervous but Callum seemed set on putting the darker Dark twin somewhere else and Xavier wasn't about to protest.

He let his cold grey blue eyes follow the two Chasers wondering if Quidditch really was going to be the fix all for his current situation. After the Valentine's dance he didn't really know where he stood with Bella. When it came to Callum, well he hadn't gotten punched in the face for a while, he supposed that was a good thing but he had a feeling that Callum still didn't real care for him and in the end he couldn't really blame the guy.

Erin was suffering from one of the more prominent diseases amongst keepers: boredom.  She had no desire to actually do well in the position, so she was just aimlessly floating around the hoops.  Wondering when she would get to do something, Erin noticed that Callum and Beatrix were passing the quaffle between them.  Wondering how (or if) Callum would end up drilling her, Erin could not help but feel slightly jealous.  Had she known that Bella would have been trying out for Chaser she would have joined her.  Worse, it seemed that right now she was the keeper by default.  It appeared that Callum had a bit of his recruitment work cut out for him if he wanted to actually field a decent team.

There really wasn't anything going on, so Erin was just flying in lazy circles in front of the hoop.  Wondering if this was what Keepers did all game, Erin thought that she would probably end up doing something stupid.  Or maybe not.  She actually did want to sleep in her own bed without checking for hexes, and quidditch was nothing if not popular.  Which mean if she actually made the team (and it was looking like she was) - she would have to do well.  Wondering if this was not her best idea, Erin sighed.  She hoped Bellatrix appreciated this.

"Yeah it's a bit harder to get the hang of- but with practice I bet you could be good at it. Since you played Beater before you'll have a lot of extra strength behind your passes- might be able to make them go further or faster with that. So it'll definitely be a benefit," Callum said to Bellatrix. Really he was trying to make sure that everyone was pleased with him at the moment. He flew back a little further. "Put some umph to it, Bellatrix," he told the girl. "Then you fly toward the hoops and I'll past it back to you."

He looked up at Xavier who was twirling his bat. "Don't get sloppy up there Tawse!" Callum barked. "That bludger is out there, and if you let it hit one of the ladies we'll have words." Protecting their female players was essential. Whether on their team or not. Callum himself never hit bludgers at girls- it was one of the things that had caused him troubles in the past, so he just picked on the guys of others teams. Maybe Xavier and he could make an arragement. Xavier could take care of the women. As long as he wasn't doing it, then it wasn't wrong.

"Look alive Little Dark!" he called out to Erin. "We're coming your way with the quaffle." After he and Bella got some practice passing they could work together on passing through the hoops. He could work with Xavier and the bludger later- they could hit it back and forth for some practice. He was only one man, after all, he could only do so much. He really needed a co-captain. Maybe he'd talk to Xavier about that later on. He was trying not to hate Xavier after what had happened- he needed more friends than he needed enemies.
