Dear Dennis and Tilly,
Hi Guys! I addressed this letter to both of you, because, well...Tilly is good at talking people into things they might otherwise be hesitant to do and since I don't know where you stand on Werewolf Rights... I felt it very important to have my favorite babysitter on my side! I don't know how much my mum has filled you in on, but I'm part of this student movement, Students Against Werewolf Segregation. It's something I'm really proud of and really passionate about. I suppose I am my mother's daughter in my desire for equality.

Anyway, We've met a lot of opposition from the powers that be, and for some reason my generation has a level of unreachable apathy about causes in general. While we are making headway in so much as we've gotten people to talk about Were Rights, if we don't get more people interested I fear that we're going to lose momentum. In the last meeting I was struck by the idea that perhaps a benefit concert would be a good idea. Of course Da is already on board because... well he can't really tell me no. He doesn't like making me cry.

The thing is Mandrake Siren isn't for everyone; and right now 3 Owl Standard is the hottest band out. Everyone loves you, myself included obviously. I know it's a lot to ask, sticking your neck out for a controversial cause like SAWS, especially because we couldn't really pay you a lot... or anything at this point. Between venue costs in Hogsmeade and all that entails... I guess what I'm trying to ask is a very large favor that you at least consider playing a show for us out of the goodness of your heart and desire to right social injustice.

I wouldn't ask you if this wasn't something I really believe in with all of my heart. I believe we can make a difference, I believe that even though everyone dismisses us as a silly teenage movement we aren't. I want to change the world but I'm learning I can't do it on my own and having you two and the rest of 3 Owl Standard in our corner gets us that much closer to being taken seriously - to making an impact.

Just... think it over please?

Sophie!

Goodness gracious, girl.  Way to make a man feel like a complete sell out!

Well, not really.  At least not entirely.  But, the fact you even ask whether we'd stick our necks out for a controversial cause makes it clear we've strayed too much from our roots.  Perhaps this is just one of those 'you're too young to remember' moments but, back in the day, Three Owl was the controversial band!  We ruled the Potterwatch waves!  We were on the Powers that Be's hitlist!  Of course, the Powers that Be were a bunch of limp di cowardly Death Eaters.

But, good for you for helping with this Students Against Werewolf Seg group!  Back in the day, I was the youngest member of Dumbledore's Army.  Nothing's better for a youngster's education than good, old-fashioned anti-establishment group.

I talked with the boys and Jesse and Ricki are all for it.  Corby's pretending to be griping because he claims he has some ultra important Valentine's date to go to which I know is a load of invisible thestral dung.  So, we'll be there and we'll put on a show that'll force them to take notice.  No need to really thank it over - it's an easy enough decision to make.

What time do you need us there for?

Den -

Firstly, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to write back to you. I'm sure you've heard by now about poor Ava Grosvenor. It caught us all completely off guard and I just... couldn't bring myself to face writing letters. We're still planning a concert but as important as we, meaning the rest of the SAWS members and I, feel our cause is we also think that Ava deserves to be remembered in a big and important way. It means so much that you and the rest of 3OS were, are willing to help bring attention to our cause. It gives me hope that some day, some how we'll make the difference we want to.

The Benefit concert has morphed into a dance and we've gotten permisson to hold it on school grounds. It will be the evening of the 14th, I hope I can still count on you to want to be a part of this even though the message has changed a little. We're bringing all the clubs together to pull this off and I think it still gets our name out there, our cause out there, while trying to bring the students together for a night to lift our spirits a little.

It'd be great if you guys could come in four equipment check and all that early that afternoon. I'm not exactly sure of the stage layout at this point, Meredith Renfield has been brought in to help with some of the event planning. I can get the details from her and owl them to you when everything is more set in stone. So far you, Mandrake Siren, and Professor Binns Was A Ghost have all agreed to play.  It'll be a great lineup, do you have any order you want to go on? Da isn't fussed about where they are in the lineup and I'm still waiting for PBWAG to get back to me - so really you have your pick at this point.

Let me know! Also give Tills hugs for me and talk to the baby bump. I can't wait to babysit!

Sopher!

No worries on the delay!  Things have been kind of happening at top speed here, too.

Yeah - I heard about the murder.  Scary sphinx shi stuff.  Haven't heard many of the details, though.  It's always a bit unsettling when a place that's supposed to be all safe and stuff isn't.  It's all a little daunting to be honest.  Makes me feel even more like the band should be getting back to where we started, you know?  It's been safe and quiet for so long we sit around singing crowd pleasers.  Might be time to pick up some of the old tunes again.

Bringing everyone together sounds like a great idea and we'd love to be a part of that.  I still remember all those times Professor Dumbledore warned us to not let the suspicions and shi stuff divide us.  Reducto got hit over the holidays - some foolish purist getting their robes all bunched in the wrong places because Tilly had the audacity to hire a muggle.  But, we'll just keep doing what we do and, hopefully, enough people will come to their senses.

We'll be there in the afternoon.  You know us.  We'd rather close out a show if given the choice.  Mostly because Ricki thinks there's some weird aura thing that happens after all the notes lift into the air.  All a serious load of dragon dung but playing last makes him happy.

I'll pass on your greetings to Tilly.  We're all really excited about the imminent Creevey-Quinn spawn.  I'm sure they say something about early summer babies, just don't have a clue what.  We'll definitely be getting our babysitters all squared away in the next couple months.

Keep it rockin' -
