A wrongly accused man dies believing the world thinks he is guilty. The Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement is murdered. Numerous Disappearances. And now, after much delay, when all other options seem to have failed them, the Ministry of Magic admits the Wizarding World may be facing an organized terrorist threat. No Ladies and Gentlemen, I am not referring to the horrific and traumatic events of the Second War that still weighs heavily on our society’s mind, a mere ten years in its aftermath. But the similarities are alarming, are they not?

Mid-afternoon yesterday, the Acting Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Tamis Raynor, held a press conference after several months of “no comment” silence. This is the first time Level Two has made a public statement concerning the welfare of Wizarding Britain since the tragedy of the Remembering Day Murders, which chillingly took place on the ten year anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts this past May.

Kyle Gibson, a former Gryffindor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, was the Auror Corps lead suspect in the Remembering Day Murders Investigation. A seventeen year old boy who many believed aspired to be an Auror himself one day. By word of eye-witness accounts, the Aurors accused this child nine months ago of ruthlessly killing two Law Enforcement Officials and has been under pursuit ever since. Yet, the Head Auror announced that further investigation has revealed that Kyle Gibson was innocent, framed as a part of a larger organized criminal movement. Sirius Black, a famed tragic hero in his own right, was believed to have killed Peter Pettigrew in a crowd full of witnesses, only to have been found wrongly accused thirteen years later.

It was Gibson’s corpse, pulled from the ocean, that gave Law Enforcement this information.

So pray tell, my dear fellow citizens, is this the Reformed Ministry of Magic our government has been propagating? Or has it failed to learn from its mistakes?

If Kyle Gibson did not stage the murders of Wizengamot Elder Leon Carter and Auror Benjamin Timmins, then who did? A new Terrorist Group the Aurors have been tirelessly investigating since early last October. No doubt an itsy bitsy detail that they forgot to include in one of those many “no comment”s.

Thus far unnamed, MLE believes this organized criminal movement is responsible for the Kidnapping of Akiva Katz and the Murder of Gawain Robards. They have strong suspicion but cannot prove that this Terrorist Group may be responsible for the demise of Gibson and the Remembering Day Murders. This Unnamed Terrorist Group leaves a calling card, depicted above this article, of a skull on a runic symbol. The skull, as many know, was a key element in the Dark Mark – a skull with a snake protruding from its mouth, a symbol of the Death Eaters. Level Two cautions the public against this organization and urges anyone with pertinent information to contact their nearest Auror's Office.

Is this warning too late? Have the tides already turned? Should we have been warned sooner? Only time can tell if History is doomed to repeat.
