The Basics

• The full moon of March is going to be a dangerous and exciting day! Due to failed wolfsbane potions (brought on by faulty ingredients that were missed in the potions recall from Ó Móráin Farms), the day and night of the full moon is going to be explosive, with multiple werewolf attacks in many different locations. Some can be due to organized hits, others just coincidence due to failed wolfsbane potions, and perhaps others are unrelated to either. The day will result in multiple werewolf attacks, as well as multiple deaths of witches, wizards, and maybe even some muggles! The attacks will inundate the auror office and WCU- and could possibly shake the public's trust in the ministry as a whole. It will shed a whole new light on the werewolf rights campagins, and give SAWS and PAWS something to think about. Maybe some anti-werewolf groups will pop up in retaliation. The possibilities are endless!

The Attacks

• The attacks themselves will be spread out. Attacks are certain to occur in large RP areas like Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, where we will be starting a few open threads.
• You are also welcome to set up smaller, closed attack threads anywhere except Hogwarts and the Hogwarts grounds.
• At this time, there is no limit on the number of adult characters that can be killed off or attacked and turned into werewolves. Want to retire a character and help further a plot? This is one good way to do it!
• Student or child characters may not be killed off as a result of the attacks, because that would affect the student body in a way we want to avoid. However, some students can still be attacked if you can figure out a solid in-character reason for them to be away from Hogwarts and the Hogwarts Grounds during the full moon.
• If there aren't enough werewolf characters to stage multiple attacks, don't fret! If necessary, we can NPC werewolves, or help you out with Deus ex Machina. Just ask!

The Culprit

• For now? Tainted wolfsbane will cause the mass attacks.
• If you'd like your character to help orchestrate the mass attacks, just let us know! Regardless if there is someone behind it all, the sheer number of attacks will look suspicious to most people. We can also sprinkle in a few hints that the attacks were pre-planned, so if a character or group of characters would like to step up at a later point and cackle at their success over a bubbling cauldron, they can.

Guidelines

• If your character has existing, important relationships with other characters on the board, please discuss your character death with other writers. This to ensure that everyone is involved in the plotting and there are no unexpected plot twists.
• People who are being attacked/killed should reply here so that we can keep a list of what is happening to which characters. This will hopefully help to streamline things and make sure nobody feels left out of things or kept out of the loop.

• Create a character employed at the Werewolf Capture Unit of the Ministry!
• Create a werewolf character (Secondary is suggested if you plan on killing the were off)!
• Kill off a character!
• Turn a character into a werewolf after the attacks!

A Canadian Werewolf In London!

Lexus will indeed be involved in this. Whether it's through tainted wolfsbane she got from Dazmond or Alastar, depending on how Natalie and Mikey feel about all this, I don't really mind. I might even just have her try and make her own potion for once using ingredients she didn't know were tainted and have it fail miserably. Either way she'll be on the loose for this full moon.

I was thinking since it's all from tainted wolfsbane that she'd actually be aware of what was going on without being able to stop herself. Since when in werewolf form they lose all human mind and become a complete beast and with wolfsbane they retain their mind but still transform it made sense for me that tainted wolfsbane would help them retain their human mind but none of the control that normally comes with it (I think it will add a fun factor to the roleplaying, that whole tortured soul thing)

If there's any reason we can find for Lexus to not be in Muggle London I think that would be best since the chaos might be a little too much for this event if she starts attacking muggles  . .  . again If at all possible (and not to metagame too much) I'd prefer if Lexus didn't actually kill anyone or get killed herself, I'd still like to keep this character around but I want this whole thing to be a pinnacle moment for her. Maybe the WCU captures her before she does any harm to anyone or maybe she's the were that attacks Kurby

I'm open to any and all suggestions when it comes to using Lexus in this plot. If her going to Azkaban or something of the likes is an inevitable consequence of her involvement than we'll cross that bridge when we get there but for now I'm very excited for her to go all ballistic during this.

So it appears that the faulty wolfsbane potions infiltrated both some of the Ministry supply and the private (or illegal) dealers.

I love this idea! I think it would be very interesting for some werewolves to retain some part of their human mind and yet still be overcome by werewolf instincts. Buahahaha!

We can definitely avoid muggle London for Lexus .

Depending on when Lexus transforms, I would laugh so hard if Maggie saw it. Like they're out shopping during the day or something and then suddenly RAWRRR in the middle of Diagon Alley! Maggie: "...wtf"

Of course this is just the first amusing thought that popped into my head and I want to make sure other characters get a shot at RPing with actual werewolves. I'll leave it up as an option just in case!

I'm offering Georgianne up to be killed by a wolf

I'm considering having this young lady killed off unless she ends up involved in the WBA stuff.

Offering Declan Murphy up as a victim. I don't want him to be killed, just badly injured.

I'd love to get Jacoba involved with this though definitely not killed or bitten/severely injured.  But, perhaps a close call or somehow trying to help a victim/someone/etc.  Don't know - dont' have any concrete ideas, yet, but just a thought.

I'm offering Calaveras as a location for a werewolf attack. I'd love to play out Meredith in a thread with some violence and mayhem going on- and Mer's gonna be pissed if he breaks a table. Slashing some dude's face, meh, we can deal with, but do you know how much those drapes you just destroyed cost?

Georgianne could be at Calaveras when the attack happens! That could be how she goes down!

I don't want Ahmed hurt or killed, but he would be just the type to try to save somebody else. Maybe Georgianne, since she disdained him for being a White Knight a short time ago? XD

If she's going to be killed off obviously he fails to save her. But...if Jacoba wants to be involved maybe it's a multiple attack, where people join forces and manage to hold off the wolves till help arrives. Too late for some, but not for others...

And yeah...Calaveras would be a great place for this to happen.

A while ago, James ordered a wand from Deaglan that was supposed to be good at transfiguring things into silver.  Though Mai seems to be tied up with her other charries right now, by March I would imagine that Deaglan had crafted the wand and James has spent a little bit of time practicing with it. 

Also, this could increase his paranoia that there is a foul werewolf plot afoot after he and E. Pascal were attacked about six months (in game time) ago.  James can get around Great Britain fairly easily, so if a werewolf wants to be involved in an ambush/counter-attack, I can volunteer him.  I don't mind James getting injured or roughed up, but I don't want him to be bitten/killed.  Especially so close to when we're finally getting another pro quidditch match up and running :-)

Aberdeen would like to put her auror training to use if she comes across an attack, but I'll see how convenient or not it is to slot her in based on what plot strings crop up around this event.

Random question: What happens when a muggle gets bitten by a werewolf? Are they capable to becoming werewolves like witches and wizards are? (I don't remember if it was covered in canon.)

Hmm... no idea! Maybe it's rarer for them to survive a bite, but if they do, they could become werewolves?

Haha - Jacoba says you'll have to find some other random muggle to answer that question with.  She says she's willing to get scratched at most (and loves the idea of Ahmed helping out after it's clear Georgianne is no longer in need of help) and they can extrapolate from that.
