    Member Boards
    Everyone at Absit Omen
    gets their very own headquarters!

Welcome to the Absit Omen Member Boards.  Every member at Absit Omen has their own board where all their character information is stored.  You will have board manager permissions for your own board so you can sticky, lock, and remove topics!

    What will you find here?
    • Character Biographies
    • Residences
    • Adoptions
    • Networks
    • Family Trees
    • Timelines
    • Thread lists
    • Photo galleries
    • Any and all information a writer has compiled for their character.

The boards are grouped alphabetically by the members' nicknames.  Board descriptions will contain a list of all the member's characters.

    New Way to Navigate
These boards provide a new way of navigating to character information.  The Cast of Characters should serve as your hub, especially if you don't know which member writes which characters.  The Cast is linked in the top information box on the main page of the site.

The Cast is organized by the characters' occupations, but use Ctrl+F to search the page! The biography link will lead you to the member board.

Not only that, but you can now add a link to your member profile leading others to your member board.  Put this link in all your characters' profiles using the directions below.

    Forum Profile Link
Create a link in your forum profile to direct others to your member board.

    1. Navigate to your member board and copy the url.
    It will look like this:
    http://absitomen.com/index.php?board=284.0
The last numbers will be the unique number that identifies your board.

    2. Go to your Member Profile.   You can click your character name in a post, or click the Profile tab (located in the middle at the top of the site).

    3.  Go to 'Modify Profile', then 'Forum Profile'.

    4. Paste your board url into the Member Board field at the bottom of that page.

You can also link to your character's biography, network, thread list, and plot tracking. When you're done, click 'change profile'.

    Customize!
Contact a Curator if you ...
    • want subboards for each of your characters.
    • want to alter the board description.
    • would like to change which character is the board mod (the account that allows you to sticky and lock topics)
    • need to change your member nickname (board title).
