It had been a while since Trina Quinn had been out to do a show. She’d done some recording with Jasper, and that felt good. But ever since Christmas and her breakup with Hunter, she’d been feeling down. Now, she decided it was about time that she got out and did some promotional gigs. Trina had owled the Three Broomsticks, and they’d set up this date.
The audience seemed not just interested in the music, but also how she was doing after the breakup. Trina knew a fair amount of the audience wanted to know her emotional state, and was pretty sure her music would let them know. Of course, it seemed as though people tended to enjoy angry female songs. And to be honest, Trina was just happy to be performing again.
Trina ended her set with
Better to have Loved, one of her most recently written songs. She was starting to get over how she and Hunter had ended, and this song was testament to that. Still angry, but yet thankful that she’d had the time she’d spent with him. They’d never been completely happy, and Trina had realized that. On and off and on and off. They had some amazing times, but she was ready to move on now.
Upon finishing the song, she thanked everyone and decided to take a seat at the bar. One of the last times Trina had been here was when she met Hunter. She pushed the memory out from her mind, and smiled to the bartender upon getting her drink. A couple people came up to her, she signed a few autographs, and she smiled. Trina enjoyed being back in the spotlight. And she enjoyed seeing some friendly faces again.
