Physical Description: Wallis is a very large woman. She's not tall, persay - she stands at an average 5'8 - but she's...well, big. Wide of face, hip and chest, Wallis has taken makeup to a weaponised level and combines this with practical but unsuitable updos during games. Her face is mostly square, but with a surprisingly sharp chin. One of her blue eyes has a tendency to twitch when she's angry and is often a little bit narrowed compared to the other. She's not ugly, exactly, and in the right light and mood could be said to be somewhat fetching. Still, her tendency to laugh with all her teeth on display, the fact her voice pitches up to shrill when she's angry and her tendency to be the first to throw a punch diminish this.

She has blonde hair, fair skin and blue eyes and the general feel of someone's rather frightening aunt. She dresses somewhat cluelessly and favors bulky, lumpy sweaters, usually with something cute on them. Her game uniform is quite military in appearance and wear.

She's got a tattoo that she won't show anyone. Bets have been placed that it either says "MUM" or involves fairies.

Personality Description: Wallis is a nice woman but a bit too fond of drink and too unaware of her own physical strength to be welcoming to most. She approaches most 'women's subjects', such as makeup, with the same gusto as a very impressionable alien; eager to try new things but somewhat lost on what the actual purpose is (she certainly dropped the ball on the 'subtle' of makeup).  Boys, however, she approaches with an eager solidarity and she seems to enjoy their presence over that of other women, but fun, crazy chicks she can totally dig.

She's something of a 'Team Mom' to her friends, however, and is a bastion of emotional strength when called upon for duty. Wallis is fiercely loyal to her friends and family and is well known for being the first to start fights over their well-being. She'll happily share her time, money, drink and food with her friends at the drop of a hat. She's brave on the pitch and off it and is not afraid to speak her mind.

She approaches Quidditch with a dogged determination and her manner on the pitch is one of a battering ram.

History: Born the middle child of 7 and the only girl, Wallis grew up a tomboy, and it shows. She was born in the city, but her family moved to the countryside when she was 7, and this move suited her fine - it's certainly helped her in later years as mud and rain do not phase her.

Her family is wizarding, but both her parents are halfbloods. Her father, William, worked in the Ministry's Beast Division  'yankin' the wings offa fairies' (in her mother's words) and her mother, Mary,  was a housewife and homemaker who, once the children began to be shipped off to Hogwarts, began the systematic process of kicking them all out of the house so she could have some peace n'quiet.

Wallis's brothers mostly wound up in Hufflepuff, to her annoyance, so she only shared her house with her eldest brother, Edmund. She quickly became aware, in her first year, that studying was not her strong point. She struggled with grades throughout school, but she did excel on the Quidditch team, where she played Chaser. She scraped by in her 7th year with just enough NEWTs to make it into a bottom-level Ministry job, a paper-pusher in the Sports Department. But her true goal in life was to play the game itself, not push papers about it.

She spent several years of her life applying for various teams and was always disappointed when she was turned down. It was at one of these interview/tryouts that she met her husband, a Daily Prophet reporter named Bob Barnard. The two married a few years later, but she retained her own last name.

She finally was accepted by the Tornadoes, to her great joy, in 1999. She's been playing with the team for 10 years now and has only taken a break to have her son, Terry, before throwing herself back on the pitch.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Wallis is a up-do'ed, unsubtle woman who will happily punch you in the face and then buy you a drink.
