Job & Description:
Auror - went straight into auror training from Hogwarts graduation in 1983 and became an auror in 1986. Was forced from the ministry in 1998, but reinstated in 1998. Refused a promotion to senior auror in 2004, as he believes promotion equates with mountains of paperwork and less time on the ground.

Physical Description:
Average height at five eleven. He has a stocky build, but beware, he is quicker than he looks. His hair is brown and slightly thinning at the front. His eyes are hazel, with deep set lines marking his forehead from regular frowning, something often connected not only to his annoyance but also concentration. 

Personality Description: Reliable, trustworthy and serious, with a well known lack of a sense of humour. Kind and generous at times. He can be disorganised, especially with regard to his personal life and hates paperwork, hence why he has avoided promotion as much as possible, he much prefers to be out on the beat and outdoors.

Though actually intelligent, he is sometimes, unkindly, referred to as slow-witted, though this is only because he likes to think over subjects in great detail before commiting his opinion out loud. He despises ministry politics and attempts to keep himself as far removed from it as he can, often with little success. Prone to burying his head in the sand when it comes to dealing with aspects of his work and home life that he doesnt like.    

History:

Born in 1965 to a General Peter Timmins, in the Royal artillary, and Mary Timmins nee Blute, in Southwark, London. He had a strict, regimental upbringing which has perhaps led to his lack of organisation now with his paperwork in particular, a small rebellion against the monotony of the routine of his younger years.

Admitted to Hogwarts in 1976, and sorted into Griffindor, he graduated with excellent NEWTs in 1983 and was accepted into the auror training scheme for the September of that same year.

He was forced from the ministry  in 1998 during Voldemorts takeover, a time when very few muggleborns held onto their positions. Determined to do his bit to continue to fight, he helped others attempting to escape from the snatchers and rushed to assist in the Battle at Hogwarts when the time came. He was reinstated in late 1998 to his former position and has held an unblemished record during that time.

With regard to his personal life, he met and fell in love with a witch named Penelope Silvers in 1990. They were married in 1992 and have three children Simon, Toby and Sally aged 13, 11 and 4 respectively.
