Physical Description: The first thing one might notice about Pippa physically is that, well, she’s small. From a distance she looks as much like a nine year old as an eleven year old. Her petite stature is inherited from her mother Grace [who barely scrapes past 5’ even], while her features and coloring can be attributed to her blonde haired blue eyed father Nathan. She still very much resembles a little girl, having just lost the last of her baby teeth, and her wayward long blond tresses flying around her face at all times. She tends to wear simple clothes - function over style, she does have a fondness for oversized glasses and trench coats. She wears a lot of blues and pink and generally prefers pants over dresses.

Personality Description: Pippa is… strange. She has a day dreaming curiosity that permeates everything she does. She is the sort of person that, while in conversation about one thing, will be suddenly struck by a random idea and feel the need to blurt out whatever thought has popped into her head. She adores books - both muggle and magical, reading is a way for her vivid imagination to transport her from where she is to anywhere in the universe. She is the mastermind behind a summer long game of The Legends of Camelot - acted out by she and her cousin Xander around their grandparents’ farm. She does not let her size detour her sense of adventure. At eleven she’s already expressed a great interest in sword play and it’s history.

Her other love, outside of acting out stories is science, The first nine years of her life were split between Worthing and Swanwick. Living by the sea afforded her the opportunity to explore the coast, the animals, and most notably the water. Like her cousin she often wonders “why” but would rather investigate on her own. Her room in Derbyshire is decorated extensively with different types of shells, rocks, sand, and remnants of petrified sea life. She spends most of her free time [when not trailing after the twins or leading them on adventures] by the lake trying to communicate with the giant squid.

Of course she has her flaws…mostly being the bane of Xander’s existence. As previously mentioned she likes to investigate things - on her own, which often means taking them apart. On more than one occasion tis fate has befallen a prized treasure of her cousin. Mostly it is born out of genuine curiosity but sometimes, ala the Kazoo incident of 2007, it’s simply because he is annoying her. They often threaten to tattle on one another and she makes up wild stories but they almost never follow through. Almost. He is her best friend after all and when he gets in trouble it doesn’t really serve her purpose of fun and amusement. She rarely gets genuinely mad at him mostly because she forgets about things rather suddenly as soon as something else grabs her attention.

History: Philippa Prudence Purdue was born one month and five days after her cousins Alexander and Carter - and Xander has never let her forget it. Actually until quite recently she as not aware of Carter’s existence but he has joined in the fun of reminding her that they are her elders. This has been the dynamic of her life since birth - she and Xander raised more like siblings that cousins. Her parents, Nathan and Grace met through Xander’s parents but unlike the other pair have stayed together. For the first part of her life she spent much of her time between the sea and on the farm. When she was nine the family moved to a small house in Derbyshire to be closer to Xander and his mother - completely unaware of her potential magical background.

Life was happy and simple in those years, running around with Xander, making cookies with Nana, checking on the cows with Poppy, spending time on the beach with her dad looking for shells, it was like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting - well if she was aware who Normal Rockwell was. She did well in school and had her fair share of friends. Of course she couldn’t know that when her mother left every day she went to work at the Ministry of Magic, or that the knobby stick she wasn’t allowed to touch that her mother kept in a locked drawer at home was actually a wand. There were lots of secrets in her family but Pippa was too small nd preoccupied to be aware. When she was nine they moved to Derby to be closer to her aunt and cousin, which suited Pippa just fine. She missed the ocean but having Xander to chase around the schoolyard was more fun anyway. Over the last two years they developed even more of a sibling relationship than they shared before. Nathan and Heather often remark how much like them the two are when they squable and make up.

Then her letter came and everything went wonky upside down. There was a whole new world for her to explore - and while being away from her mum, dad, Nana, Poppy, and Aunt Heather is hard…exploring te castle has been the single biggest adventure of her life - and now she had a new cousin to drag around behind her on her adventures. Carter is more fun than Xander simply because she hasn’t gotten him quite broken in yet - he still surprises her. She knows how Xander will react to most everything. She’s settled into Castle life fairly easily and enjoys her new classes - most notably Herbology and Potions because she feels as though she can get down to the science of it. She has trouble in classes where they’re required to read a lot simply because she is easily distracted and day dreams. Flying has to be her absolute favorite though, it lets her reach high up things she never thought she could.
