In early afternoon of January 2nd, 2009, several hours after this, a ball of light bursts into Tamis Raynor's office, glows brightly, and erupts into the form of a silvery, ethereal Hippogriff Patronus that speaks in Jason MacDonell's voice.

"Raynor.  I've heard the Ministry is under lockdown.  Aurora and I are prepared to Apparate in to provide additional force if necessary.  What is happening?  Reply immediately to confirm you are safe.  We will come anyway if we have not heard from you in half an hour."

Several minutes later, Squeak the House-Elf appears in the foyer of Bannochdaen Castle, nervously carrying a folded piece of parchment bearing the Official red wax seal of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. The handwriting is evidently Tamis Raynor's, precise and carefully written as if she had picked her words slowly. She had not trusted her ability to produce a patronus at that moment, nor trusting how convincing her voice would have been.
