[Starts 10am Tuesday Morning]
Another day at the shop, that was all life was these days. Jo would leave her son a day care and then head off to the shop; she would spend an entire day there finding many things to do only to leave to pick up her son. It wasn’t the most exciting existence, but at least Jo loved her job. The shop was her pride and joy, asides for Benjy of course. Today though there was something a bit different about the workday, and no it wasn’t a new special or tea, nor was it even an event. Benjy Minkus was at the shop today, due to the very fact her parents couldn’t look after the squirt today.
“So Benjy you promise to be a good boy for mummy today right?” She said squatting down to him before opening the door to the shop; she wanted to make him promise before they entered. She sleepily nodded his head. “If you are a good boy today I can probably head home early, which means we could go to the sweets shop and get you a treat.” Benjy’s attention perked at the mere idea of a sweet, his mind started to run with the very ideas of what he would choose. Blood pop, or sugar quills, heck even Bertie Botts would be welcomed challenge. Little five-year-old Benjy was very excited and determined to be a good boy for mum.
When satisfied with an answer Jo opened up the door and let Benjy run in ahead of her. As always she was hit by a wave of tea scents, Godric’s sake did she love that smell. She was always the opener, and there were those rare occasions she also closed. She now had enough help that she was able to schedule someone to close. She was fed up of working long hours like she had when they first opened and during Christmas holidays. Business had definitely slowed since the holiday season, but they were still in good standing financially.
Letting Benjy find something to occupy his time, Jo started out on setting up for the day. She got cups already for the day, made sure dishes were cleaned from last night. She went around setting the few tables for the morning visitors. She even checked to see for any tea reservations today, which there were none of. Once ready for the day she set about making a cup of tea for herself to start of the day and heat up a muffin for her son. “Would you like some warm milk Benjy?” He shook his head very content drawing away on sheets of paper.
Open for business and now she played the waiting game. Hopefully a customer or two would arrive within the next few minutes to occupy her time. She of course expected the regulars from the other shops in Hogsmeade stopping in for their pick-me-up on their break. She also could spend a bit of time making some tea blends, new and old, once her second set of hands arrived for the day.
OOC note: Please state time of customers arrival, approximately. This way if you character comes and goes and a new one arrives I know what time of day Jo is at and know what she has been up to all day.
