    Full Character Name: Erik Collins
    Character Birthday & Age: December 14 1996 ~ 12 years Old
City & Country of Birth: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
    Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn: Halfblood
House & Year: Gryffindor 1st year

Wand: Aspen, Phoenix Feather, Knobby, Rigid, 8”

Physical Description: Erik is short and slim. His love for all things sports magical and muggle gives him a bit more muscle than his twin, and keeps him from looking as skinny as her. However they share other features.

His hair is very dark brown, he has blue green eyes and an olive skintone. He is also as short as his sister, probably an inch or half an inch taller that he boasts, but otherwise not noticeable taller than her.

Personality Description: Always up to no good—he can’t help it. Even if he’s being perfectly well-behaved he is put under the utmost scrutiny, because he just looks like he’s up to something and acts like he’s got something to hide. It’s really just become habitual for him to act this way since trouble equates to fun, and who doesn’t want to have fun all the time? This actually makes it hard to tell if he’ll be a source of trouble for the class and makes it hard for professors to pin the boy down as being guilty or not guilty, but he gets pegged as the former more than the latter.

Even if he’s going to prank someone, he isn’t terribly malicious about it. He’s just out for a good laugh and a bit of enjoyment, and thinks that people can laugh at themselves and pick themselves up again. He’s also willing to make other people laugh at his expense, so they should be able to do the same. He gets a lot of amusement from picking on his siblings, although he genuinely cares about them, and his teasing is really just his way of showing tough-love.

Dahlia is Erik’s number one wing-twin-girl-person, despite her being sorted into Hufflepuff, and really gullible. Whenever he needs help he always goes to her first.  He always gets a joy out of teasing Dalhia or playing jokes on her, because she falls for them so easily, but he generally uses this unwitting aspect of her to help him scheme something up or to get the both of them into trouble.

Another personality trait is that whenever he gets ahold of something, he can sometimes get carried away with it. Whether it's a scheme, a mad-master plan, or a simple party: he'll just go above and beyond what people need (or want) to be done and just have fun with it. This is due to his energetic and entertaining nature, and he is easily enthused.

History: Of the Collins twins, Erik is the older, only by three minutes, but to him it’s like a century. Similar to how giving someone an inch would encourage them to go a mile, Erik considers those three minutes as officially making him the older, defensive, and domineering sibling to Dahlia (despite the frequent reminders he gets from Ayla.)

This constant correction from his older sister results in many pranks on Ayla, and jokes pulled at her expense merely to show her she isn’t the boss of him. Of course he loves her and cares about her with all his heart, but who wants to be bossed around all the time? Not Erik.

As he grew up, Erik never had a problem with authority, parents, or teachers: he isn’t even really a bad student. He tries and keep up with Dahlia, does his work to the best of his ability, but his success in school is determined by how much he enjoys the class (or wants to enjoy it) and how often he’s willing to give in and admit he needs his sisters’ help from time to time. However, he was always much more interested in sports—and excelled in those much more effortlessly than academics.

He learned Dahlia was extremely smart from a young age and always found it fascinating. He’d come up with an idea, and she’d always have a better one. Because of this, he often directs her efforts elsewhere, away from schoolwork and onto his mischievous schemes. Their knack for getting in trouble tended to get on their family’s and teachers’ nerves, but Erik never considered himself purposefully getting into trouble; By his standards, he was just having a bit of fun.

In elementary school, when the twins were put into different classes, Erik found that his troublemaking ways could get him to spend more time with his sister. This resulted in his roping her into his schemes and making the purpose behind their separation completely hopeless. These are the times where he had some of the most fun with Dahlia, and considered trying to accomplish anything without her brains somewhat lacking in fun. There were some times where Dahlia acted like Ayla, which caused Erik to feel like he must be the older brother and try and pull her back into troublemaking. He started this by pulling pranks on Dahlia, which was surprisingly really easy for him, and he found it really amusing. Teasing her just became normal after that, and he found it so easy to get her to go along with his crazy schemes that he didn’t really NEED to pull pranks on her, but it was too funny not to.

Once their dad got a job with International something or another they moved to London. He didn’t really care much about moving, he was too young to understand it or really see how hard it was to make friends again. There was also so many new opportunities available to him! Even though he really couldn’t think of any it just felt like that to Erik.

However, once they arrived in London and the twins were homeschooled it made it harder to get into trouble, especially when you’re homeschooled by a magical tutor. He tried to torture the tutor, but he couldn’t manage much and so satisfied himself with hyping himself up about Hogwarts. Learning spells and magic, being taught in a big castle—he could only imagine what sorts of things he could get into, what he could explore—and nothing was going to stop him, not even the scariest of teachers. (He also had a new sport to look forward to, Quidditch!)

The only damper on his plans was that he was sorted into Gryffindor, a different house than Dahlia, and so he might not get to do as much as he thought he would without his smarter half.  Although, the encouragement he gets from his Gryffindor peers makes up for that small disappointment. He also gets to share classes with his twin so he realized he doesn’t mind being in a different house as much anymore.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Erik has unflinching daring and nerve in all his endeavors even if he does get into a bit of trouble. He's not terribly reckless, since he has Dahlia to sort that out for him, but he gets pretty close to it. He even has his selective moments of chivalry and they all collectively landed him in Gryffindor.

    Writing Sample:

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Erik is a troublemaker through and through, although he wouldn't classify himself as one, he does believe getting into trouble is one of the best ways to have fun. He is an avid sports fan of all things muggle and magical, and so he tends to be energetic and sometimes entertaining. He loves his siblings and shows it by teasing them. He has also grown to love Hogwarts considers it the best place to have any sort of fun.
