Lexus narrowed her eyes but let a smile curl her lips wide. She was wondering why the woman was suddenly being so nice to her but then had to remind herself that Maggie hadn't been a bitch on purpose she was just trying to do her job. Lexus probably would have done the same thing had she been in the woman's position. She had been rather thorough on the few muggle cases Jonas let her on, she imagined if she was an investigative reporter she would be just as determined to find out everything she need to know. She chuckled inwardly, Lexus Dale - Intrepid Reporter.

With her attention back on Maggie she nodded and came around the desk to shake the woman's hand, "Thank you, honestly that'd be a great help. I still haven't been here all that long and even after working with Jonas for a few months I didn't really make any contacts I could turn into another job." At least nothing legal. She was sure she could get something in with Cinead or even help Dazmond in her illegal potions enterprise but if she was going to keep her own ass out of the fire she probably should get a more respectable job. One that was less likely to get her thrown in Azkaban or worse - deported.

She had taken the woman's card but if Maggie wanted to keep her ear to the ground to get Lexus a job she'd need a way to get back in touch with her. She turned back to the desk and after sifting through a few more files tossing one or two in her box of belongings - ones that she was sure had been her cases anyways - she finally tracked down a notepad and quickly scribbled something down before handing it to Maggie.

"That's my land line and my flat address. I do live in a muggle apartment so sending an owl might not be the best but my neighbours are starting to get used to it. I'm on the top floor so I've just been telling them the creatures like to roost there. Most people don't like to look too closely into weird things."

A smile and a handshake? Maggie could take that. After the tense interview, she was glad there weren't too many hard feelings between them. She didn't enjoy upsetting people... most of the time. In this case, however, she felt sorry for the woman because she seemed so clueless. And if she could admit it to herself, she also related to her situation - being in limbo and not knowing how to get out of it.

"Yeah, sure," she nodded and smiled back, waiting for Lexus to write something down on a piece of parchment. Maybe it was Jonas' address? Or cell phone number? Hope flared, and then got snuffed out when she glanced at the paper to find Lexus' information. Ah well. This still had its uses.

"Thanks," she said, amused by the story of the owls. "Don't worry. I know how to use a telephone."

It could have been said sarcastically, but she stated it as fact. The majority of witches and wizards just mashed at the numbers or held the receiver on top of their heads and expected it to work.

"Anyway, I'll let you know if I hear anything come up," Maggie opened the door, then paused when she saw the camera move to blink at her.

"Have you had any break-ins lately?" she glanced over her shoulder at the woman. "Nevermind. I'll leave you alone now," Maggie grinned. All in all, she was happy she'd found Trevelyan's office and even happier that Lexus had given her so much information. Even if she couldn't use it right away.

"See you later!" And with that, the door shut behind her.
