LONDON - Around nine o’clock this morning The Department of Magical Law Enforcement ordered an unprecedented full-Ministry lockdown not seen since the wrath of the Second Wizarding War. For two hours all entrances and exits from the Ministry of Magic Headquarters became impenetrable, creating mass confusion during the morning commute.  The Floo-Network became congested as the Department of Magical Transportation tried to redirect travelers already en route to Diagon Alley. Other fireplaces would not connect at all. Alarmed apparators would have swore they thought they were trying to apparate into Hogwarts, “Not that I’ve tried!,” Mr. Wentworth of Magical Maintenance quickly clarified.
 
Most of the outraged cries came within the Ministry itself, as Visitors were required to confirm their identities and re-check in with the Welcome Witch and Watch Wizard. “I have never been so insulted in my life!” complained one hundred and four year old Witch, Patricia Abbot, “It was like they were accusing me, ME, of being a criminal.”  Hitwizards stormed the various Levels of the Ministry, demanding verification of employee status and escorting visitors to the Atrium to be checked out of the Ministry.  “I was rather amused, really,” claimed an anonymous member of the Department of International Cooperation, “beat paperwork.”

Details are still sketchy. A statement from Level Two claims that the Auror Office received a tip that a High Profile individual involved in the recent rash of Runespoor-Related crimes had been spotted within the Ministry. Why such a man would risk exposure right under the nose of the Ministry of Magic was not explained and specifics were unavailable due to “being a part of an on-going investigation.”

Despite their eccentric measures, it does not appear that they found their Mystery Man.
