[December 28] And His Heart Grew Three Sizes Too Big

Around seven o'clock at night, when the Blake Family is seated for dinner three large white gift boxes garnished simply in red ribbon 'mysteriously' appear in Fauna Blake's bedroom. Squeak the House Elf, after a four hour stakeout for such an opportune moment returned to her Mistress, fully planning on passively aggressively complaining about playing owl. Attached to one of the boxes is an addressed and sealed letter, written in a trademark neat but flowy hand.

Ms. Blake,

Though they are belated I hope you still find these items of some use.

The garment is treated with a shield charm and will repel most mild hexes. It is meant for additional protection, not as a substitute. The journal was once mine when I was your age. I am sure you will find it entertaining.

Enjoy the remainder of your Holiday,

P.S. Your previous package was well received. Auror Radley particularly enjoyed the... 'Mr. Potato Head'.

The Gifts

A cream wool hoodie with a Sheild Charm built into the fibers. The fabric is magically treated to maintain homeostasis, making it wearable in any weather. A book of obscure Defensive Spells.  And a small, slightly abused journal of handy (and rather mischievous) spells that Tamis created and found useful when she was a student at Hogwarts -- includes some ramblings about transfiguration.

Dear Auror Raynor,

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I love these gifts. They're just really thoughtful. You didn't have to but I love them. I will be wearing the sweater constantly because it is soft and very cute and Bonus!- i won't have to worry as much about dealing with the nasty Slytherins when I get back to school. Ha! Take that Maeve Whitman.

Though the jelly legs jinx.. yeah those would still be... ah well.

I've already started flipping through the Defensive Spells book, though I have to admit, your old journal is hilarious and I can't put it down. The hair dye spell especially. I must try this. (<-- A doodle of an evil looking smiley face that cackles out loud when poked).

I'm glad that Auror Radley liked the Mr. Potato Head. Just having it in the house probably offends Squeak but I couldn't resist.

Thanks so much. For everything, you know?
