Physical Description: Imogen stands at five feet flat in her bare feet. She's in that awkward stage between childhood and maturity, just beginning to develop more feminine curves and trying to adjust to the changes in her body. She has fair skin and tries to avoid hanging out in the sun for too long, as she easily burns to a crisp. She has a heart shaped face, bright blue eyes that dissappear into little half moons if she smiles too wide, a fairly decent little nose, and full lips. Her bright red hair, which she inherited from her mother, is her most notable feature. She keeps it long, and although it is naturally straight she often curls it. She's a very girly girl, and it shows in her dressing style. She prefers ladylike skirts and dresses with a classic, vintage feel. There's a lot of lace and a lot of pearl accessories in her wardrobe.
Personality Description: Imogen is spoiled. She's used to getting what she wants, one way or another, and she does not like to be thwarted. It makes her pout and sulk and generally turn into a spiteful little brat. She is not above begging and pleading and whining and guilt tripping -generally manipulating, basically- others until they let her have/do what she wants. One of her favorite tricks is the old "If you were really my friend..." routine.
She's not always a brat, though. When things are going her way she's as sweet as can be, and even quite generous - if she likes you well enough. She's also learned from an early age that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar, and has grown quite adept at putting on an innocent face when necessary. She's a big brown noser, sucking up to anyone on whose side she thinks it would be advantageous to be on - especially professors and admired older students.
Imogen is lazy. She doesn't like anything that is difficult or challenging, and doesn't see why she should have to do anything she doesn't feel like doing. Consequently, her home work is often pushed aside until the last minute, or not done at all. She's a pretty terrible student and spends more time day dreaming in class and doodling the names of cute boys in her text books than she does paying attention and taking notes.
Imogen craves the spotlight and doesn't just ask for attention, she demands it. She hates to be left out of anything and can be quite a pest when she puts her mind to it. She is easily influenced by those she admires, and would do anything for a word of praise and approval from them.
History: Imogen was the second child born to Alastair and Edith Marsh, and for the first six years of her life was the baby of the family. She thoroughly enjoyed playing that role, and did not appreciate it when her little sister Audrey entered the scene, stealing it from her. Her brother, Geoffrey, got to be the oldest and got to do everything first, and now Audrey got to be the youngest and get the most attention over doing silly things that Imogen had mastered ages ago. It just wasn't fair!
Still, life goes on and she eventually discovered that if she threw enough tantrums her parents couldn't avoid ignoring Audrey for a moment, if only to deal with her. It wasn't exactly pleasant, but it at least got their attention - and gaining attention was what the little girl craved.
Imogen was educated at home, by private tutors. She is not and never has been a model student. School work is boring and it's hard and she doesn't like it. Consequently, she goofed off and whined and threw fits more than she actually learned. The girl managed to scrape by, however, with good enough marks that when she recieved her Hogwarts letter at age eleven her parents felt confidant she wouldn't be completely lost when she went off to school.
The moment she stepped onto Platform 9 3/4s for the very first time, her tutor heaved a sigh of relief and swore her next student would be better or she would choose a new career. Imogen, however, didn't much care what her former tutor thought - that was in the past and she had a whole new fabulous life in front of her. Imogen was going to miss her parents and she supposed she was going to miss Audrey (truth be told her little sister had grown on her a bit by this point, not that she was ready to admit this to anyone), but now that she was A Woman, she was ready to go out and make her own way in the world. Or at least school.
It was weird to be away from home for the first time, but liberating. She could eat as many sweets as she wanted and her mum wasn't there to tell her no or talk about how it would rot her teeth! She also enjoyed widening her circle of friends and finally having her own wand and being able to do magic for herself. It was good, she decided, to be one of the big kids.
Her first and second years have passed fairly quietly and pleasantly, but so far she thinks third year might be the best yet. Finally she can go on Hogsmeade trips and take the non-core classes - okay, that part is not all that exciting - she doesn't like the idea of more coursework. But hey - it means she's older now! She feels like this is definitely her year, and is determined to make the most of it.
How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Imogen has social ambition enough for two Slytherins, she knows what she wants and she's not afraid to do whatever it takes to get it, even if it means shoving someone else out of the way, and her primary concern is her own comfort and success.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Imogen is your typical spoiled Slytherin diva. She's selfish and concieted and does what she can to get what she wants. She can also, however, be sugary sweet as long as you're on her good side, and loves to have fun with her friends almost as much as she hates having to do school work.
