LONDON - Rafe Sellaphix, owner of Sellaphix Apothecary in Knockturn Alley, will stand trial before the Wizengamot beginning this Friday.  He was arrested on October 16 and investigated for his role in the explosion that shook London on October 14.  The Department of Magical Law Enforcement determined that the explosion was caused by a mishandling of cured Runespoor venom, an illegal and highly explosive magical substance.

The other wizard arrested that night was Nathan Briggs, Sellaphix's employee.  Briggs' involvement was deemed minor and accidental and he was released after serving fourteen days, a sentence not long enough for Azkaban.

"Look, we can't tell you about that," said Auror Zora Roh.  "Any deal made with Briggs is no business of anyone but the Wizengamot.  We catch them, the Wizengamot metes out the consequences."

Sellaphix will likely be charged with numerous infractions relating to smuggling Runespoor and combined he could serve five to seven years in Azkaban.
