Wand: An eleven inch inflexible smooth cocobolo wood wand with dragon heartstring core.
Wand is excellent for curses and hexes as well as transfiguration, and divination, it’s smooth inflexible attributes reflect Liviana’s stubborn streak and the importance she places on appearances.

Physical Description: Favoring her father’s side of the family, Livi is a petite 5’5”, with large dark eyes and long brown hair - though naturally curly she often uses a straightening charm to smooth out the troublesome locks. Her frame is naturally slender, though when she stress eats she’s been known to put on a pound or two. She seems to carry the weight mostly in her face and upper arms. Her features are not entirely as sharp as her cousins’ Dazmond and Dominik, but they share the same general facial structure. When she is not in uniform she does tend to favor muggle attire over typical wizarding robes. Her favorite feature would be the fine boning of her clavicle or the over all delicate petite nature of her body - though she is not as slender as Dazmond, her over all body tone is much less rigid, fluid lines rather than hard angles.

Personality Description: Driven springs to mind first. Brought up in the Wiedman household it was instilled in Liviana at an early age that connections and appearances are everything. It is of the utmost importance to her that she be viewed as a proper member of the pureblood society, as well as being a shining example of what a Slytherin ought to be. She is not above manipulation to get where she wants to go [though she likes to dress it up as “communication skills”.  She makes a point to cultivate relationships that could further her family position - or be in some way beneficial at some point down the line. She tries to look at the big picture rather than giving into the impulse of doing what feels good in the moment. She is meticulous in that respect, which has served her well thus far in her seventeen years of life.

She is a quick thinker and even better at making those thoughts turn into pretty words. Despite her calm collected nature - and seemingly a-typical need for constant control over everything from her environment to her emotions there exists in her a unfathomable well of insecurities. Growing up in a family that technically wasn’t her own, with biological parents who took interest in her about once a year at most, she has a very difficult time letting people in, but once she does she is fiercely loyal - and at times a bit clingy. This shows most in the way she relates to her surrogate family. She has allowed Dianora Wiedman to mold her as she sees fit, while still trying to please Aliec and cultivate a sibling relationship with her cousins. In a sense she has very little of her own identity and relies very heavily on the people closest to her to dictate who she is.

The Wiedmans are known for not only their loyalty but also a glaring stubborn streak - and Liviana is no different. While she often suffers fools to please others, there are some subjects on which she is immovable. The real trouble comes in the form of her temper flare-ups. It doesn’t happen often but when one crosses Livi, or she feels genuinely threatened she will make it her life’s mission to make said person as miserable as humanly possible - all the while smiling to their face and feigning innocence.  Her vindictive streak will prove to be her undoing if she doesn’t keep it under control - which depending on the day of the week proves hard to do. Outwardly she shows little sign of stress or duress but the hostility she harbors underneath her shiny happy smile is what drives her to be the “best”.

Subconsciously even without pressure from Dianora and Aliec Liviana has molded herself in several ways after her cousins. She pushes herself to be a successful herbologist and potions student because Dazmond was so brilliant and cast a long shadow. It isn’t so much that she wants to "be like Daz", but rather it was one of the easiest ways to bond with the older girl. She is an avid Quidditch fan thanks to Dom. And while she lacks the upper body strength needed to be a beastly beater like Dominik she tried to cultivate her own niche on the team as a skilled chaser. She has no talent that stands out completely on it’s own as “hers”. Even her artistic leanings are based on a desire to relate more closely to Aliec, and the pure dumb luck she’s kind of good at it than any real passion.

History: In the fairytale version of  Durin Alaric Wiedman and Stephanie Louise Whitman’s history they met, fell in love, and have been exploring the greater reaches of the world ever since. In the reality version of the story - which is where their only daughter Liviana is forced to live, it was an arranged marriage to further the Wiedman standing in pureblood lineage. Durin was about ten years older than his young bride and had little to no interest in actually being married. He was content to live life as a confirmed old bachelor - he certainly didn’t seem to give a flying fig about creating an heir to the Wiedman name, that was what his older brother Aliec had done! Still, about two years after the arranged marriage, in the summer of 1993 Stephanie gave birth to Liviana and this is where the dynamic would have had a massive shift in an ideal world. That June 25th everyone expected much rejoicing and Durin to suddenly hang up his wandering ways while Stephanie was aglow with new motherhood.

In reality neither one was particularly excited about the prospect of giving up their lives to raise a child - especially a child that did not have boy parts. Without even meaning to Livi had spoiled everything simply being born a girl. She never connected with Stephanie and likewise mother never bonded to daughter. Handing her off to nurse maids was so much easier than actually having to change a diaper or give her a bottle. Before she was three months old both her parents were back out in the world living separate lives. Aliec and Dianora Wiedman watched from the edge of Liviana’s world, trying to decide at what point it was necessary they intervene. Their own children were getting to be quite grown, so Dianora had no trouble playing Mommy.

The family story [that Livi is not supposed to be privy to] goes that Stephanie had an affair with a half blood while Durin was exploring the dark history of Romania. When Dianora found out she was more ecstatic than furious, she had the tool she needed in which to blackmail Stephanie to handing over the baby she didn’t want in the first place. Liviana was six months old when she came to live with her Aunt and Uncle. It was her first Christmas and everyone welcomed her with open arms. Daz thought it was kind of boss to have a kid sister [even if she couldn’t do much more than blow spit bubbles]. Even Dom was intrigued by the new little green bundled baby most often found chewing on his mother’s hair. They were a happy little family with a new addition - and Livi’s parents got to do with themselves what they pleased. Everyone was happy with this arrangement.

She spent most of her childhood unaware of the Dark Lord and her families purist leanings. She worshiped Dominik and Dazmond and missed them terribly when they were away at school. At least once a year she tried to hide in their trunks and go back with them. Then, when she was almost four the most wonderful thing ever happened, Dominik came home! Liviana was thrilled to have her big brother home, she clung to him much the same way she would cling to Aliec when he’d go on an extended business trips. She loved waking up every morning and rushing into Dom’s room to jump on his bed. She made him have tea parties with her and for the most part he obliged despite the fact there something weighing heavily on his mind. Even as young as she was, Livi knew something wasn’t right.

And then one day he was gone and everyone was upset and no one would tell her anything. The world seemed darker and scarier than it had ever been before. She quit eating and sleeping regularly and felt frightened most of the time. Those were the final dark days of the war, but she wouldn't know that until much later. There was something wrong with Dominik and for a long time he didn’t get to come home. When he finally did he was different, he wasn’t fun anymore. She missed the way he would smile and scoop her up. It was about this time that Dazmond’s mood shifted too. Livi felt very displaced and closed in a little bit on herself. She started devouring books and spending as much time as possible with Aliec.

Over the years her parents popped in periodically, usually creating more chaos in her tiny world. Dianora and Aliec tried to keep things “normal” in her life but without fail her father would show up with grand stories of where he’d been and why he hadn’t written in nine months. Then he would talk about taking Livi with him and the poor girl would have a massive panic attack - ending the evening by hiding under Aliec’s desk in his study. Eventually, after her father had gone, Daz or Aliec would haul her out from the dark reaches and pet her hair until she calmed down - then Dianora would give her a bath and put her to bed. Those are nights she still remembers being terrified of going to sleep and some how waking up in a strange place with her strange father and no way to get back to her real family.

At eleven she went to Hogwarts and to her joy was sorted into Slytherin just as her siblings had been. There she’s prospered into a brilliant social butterfly. She’s involved in many activities but not so much so that she’s lost focus of her studies.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Though she could naturally fit into Ravenclaw, Slytherin is her home because of the inner desire she has to please her adoptive mother. Slytherin is a family tradition, it was home for her brother and sister and the only place Liviana wanted to be. Much in the way Harry begged not to be Slytherin, Livi begged TO belong to the snake pit.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Taken in by her aunt and uncle when she was six months old Liviana is your typical upper crust pureblood Princess. She is driven and articulate, specializing in Potions. Herbology, and most kinds of wand work. Under her usually calm and collected façade the seventeen year old is under quite a lot of stress in her final year.

Why do you wish to change these area(s): In trying to revive Liviana I feel it would be best to write her younger with the next two school years ahead of her to foster growth and change rather than throwing her out into the real world without a feel for who she is or what she would even do.
Other RPed Characters this may affect: Dazmond & Dominik Wiedman & Maeve Aerona Whitman
