[Dec. 14th] Someone wrote a song about boys like you [Chance] on June 22, 2010, 02:26:32 AM -- Outfit. ---- During Breakfast. --After a nice, early Breakfast, Beatrix had actually left the Great Hall as the usual, normal people began entering. She liked her meat pies hot and her juice freezing cold. What could she say? With one Shepard's Pie in hand, Beatrix made her way through the crowd. By now people were used to the early-comers leaving and getting in their way. Why would Beatrix want to eat with those mediocres, anyways? Though she was definitely insane for waking up so early for food.Lucky for Beatrix, she had no late night conversations with strange boys that night, so she felt completely refreshed and ready to go about her day as the typical Ravenclaw weirdo. Beatrix was basically the school weirdo, was she not? She didn't ever understand, the girl wearing the flowing, frilly dress in the middle of normal dressed students. Then again, what was normal these days? She couldn't think of one normal student in Hogwarts. Maybe Megan Ruiz... That was probably it, though. What fun came from normal people, anyways? Megan was sure pretty, but Beatrix highly doubted she would jump on a table or bench to sing a song with her any time soon. Which was exactly what Beatrix felt like doing. And that was what she was going to do.Beatrix nibbled on her pie and then gracefully hoped on the railing of the Entrance Hall's staircase. What could she sing? People were beginning to stare as she thought of a song. Perhaps a Muggle song, so no one knew what the bloody hell she was singing. That was always fun. But Beatrix didn't know the lyrics to many muggle songs. But... There was a few. She decided against that, considering Beatrix wanted people to sing along, so she started along with a Three Owl Standard song. They weren't completely Bea's cup of tea, but music was music so who was she to judge?"No- No- No- I'm not bitter, I'm not mad, well, maybe just a little, just a tad,*" She began, huge smile planted on her face. It wasn't often that Beatrix got a chance to sing in public. It was Bea's only musical talent, since she couldn't exactly play any instrument since she was... Well... Not musically inclined. Someone told Beatrix to get down from the railing, but the eccentric girl continued."I know every apple here ain't bad, but I found a worm in every single one I had," If she could, she would sing all the time. She definitely wasn't awful. People just didn't usually take kindly to someone singing while they're trying to mind their own business, trying to get on their way to lunch. But Beatrix liked singing. It was as natural to her as breathing.*"I Hate Boys" by Christina Aguilera. Couldn't find any Three Owl Standard. If I need to change it, go ahead and tell me. :] Skip to next post Re: [Dec. 14th] Someone wrote a song about boys like you [Chance] Reply #1 on June 22, 2010, 07:55:31 AM Chance Ryker wasn't exactly your run of the mill Hogwart's student himself, but not even he stuck out and made such as quick and distinct an impression as Beatrix Dark. Chance was wearing a baby blue t-shirt with winged skulls spread all over it in grey, which matched the grey vest and worn, rocker jeans he was wearing. Chance was also wearing a stylish, black, pinstriped fedora with a short, slanted brim and a pair of black square toed dress shoes. Of course there was also the usual black, leather wristband with silver loops connecting a chain to hold his ebony and cobote wand in place at easy access. There were a couple slimmer wristbands of black and grey on his other wrist, and a chain necklace with several strange keys dangling from it. Chance was looking tired this morning for sure, but he grasped his stomach as he made his way through the Entrance Hall."Hun...gry...."However, Chance was delayed on his path to sustenance by an impromptu performance by Beatrix. This gave Chance pause, as well as caused a sideways smile to crawl over his features."A pre-breakfast show, eh lass?"The young Irishman was obviously amused. He liked it when people did their own thing and didn't simply conform to what others thought was "cool" or "normal." Chance didn't know the song lyrics at all, but he did begin to strike his hands along the rail to keep a beat for her."Ever tried Paramore?"Chance was curious, because Beatrix had a good voice and was not at all bashful about using it. Chance loved rock and it definitely showed."I was thinkin' Three Days Grace, Disturbed, or Breakin' Ben...but somehow I'm thinkin' Ms.Haley's voice might be a wee dab closer t'yers!" She wasn't completely aware who Chance was. Sure, she knew his name... That was about it. He was known for being a sweet guy, though. And Hogwarts definitely lacked sweet guys. But Beatrix somehow managed to find them and befriend them and yay for having friends. "Actually, it's an after-breakfast show for me... But it's in the eyes of the beholder, is it not?" She smiled and adjusted herself once more, her hands fluffing her hair. Her short, pink hair was much more wild that morning, it looked much more like bubblegum, rather than the usual darker color she was accustomed to.Small change was always nice. But then Chance started suggesting all these muggle bands that Bea had never heard of. The only muggle bands... Well, singers, that Bea knew of where Elton John, David Bowie, and Britney Spears. Which weren't exactly Chance's cup of tea from the sound of it. A wide, awkward smile formed on the young girls face and she shrugged."I'm sorry, Mister... Chance! I have no bloody clue who those people are," Beatrix slid down and managed to sit on the railing without falling, legs draping over and swinging with ease. "Please do share!" If he really could. How could someone describe a band to Bea? It was a bit hard to describe how a band sounded without going into an awkward description. "They sound like... Music," Was what Beatrix was once told. She was simply curious, after all. Beatrix was always interested in what people had to share, anyways. Well... Nice people like Chance at least. Her awkward smile turned a bit more cutesy and less confused, "Are they Muggle bands? Because I never heard of them..." What made muggle bands so different, anyways? Besides the fact that they sang about weird things such as rocketmen and automobiles. Beatrix had found out that Muggle automobiles don't fly. Which was strange, but that was Muggles for her. She would always have an in Muggles... Even if the JrWBA was soon going to suck her in. He respected that about Bea a great deal, because there weren't too many at Hogwart's that stood out in the crowd more than Chance Ryker..but Beatrix Dark certainly did."Not a problem, lass...but m'afraid y'must be enlightened musically speakin'."The young Irishman pulled a miniature, black, wand shaped device out of his pocket and extended a jelly soft, blue cord toward Beatrix's ear. "If ya don't mind o' course?"Chance tapped the iWizard with his wand and Paraore's "Brck By Brick" would play when and if Beatrix accepted the strange, blue jelly plug. (( For those who are curious it's here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A63VwWz1ij0 ))"They are very much Muggle bands. Yes indeedy, Bea Bea."This was another of Chance's little habits. He loved to nickname people almost as much as he loved music. Skip to next post
