[Dec. 13th] Girls and Boys Treat Each Other Like Toys [Alexander] on June 22, 2010, 01:50:30 AM -- Outfit. ---- Around Noon. --There were a large differences between sneaking into the Hufflepuff common room and the Slytherin common room. For one, it was a lot easier to sneak into the Slytherin common room, considering her twin was apart of the house. Second, it was a lot more dangerous to sneak into a room for of rough and tough Slytherins than those push over Hufflepuffs. Not that Bea had anything against Hufflepuffs... She loved them to bits... But she was a bit unnerved as she approached the entrance to the house. Her usual short pink hair was now long and blonde with a black underlayer. And perhaps a much more dark makeup job that usual. It was strange how one change to either twin could make them look like the other. Of course, Bella had a much more cruel disposition. So as Beatrix leaned into the wall, waiting for a Slytherin to leave or enter the common room, she practiced her naturally angry face. After about five minutes, it was safe to say she had enough practice and she began tapping her foot. But then... She heard the entrance beginning to move. She pulled herself off the wall and began walking towards the entrance, as if she had simply been walking to begin with."Nice outfit, Bellatrix. Since when do you dress like a girl?"Bells always dressed like a girl! Didn't she? How dare they! Beatrix stuck one leg through the hole, her gaze turning upon them. She sneered and rolled her eyes, "Since when have you had a death wish?" She asked, evil tone mocking her sister's perfectly. They clearly understood Bea's nonexistent intentions and left her alone. Gosh. Did Bella deal with those people a lot? The older Dark finally entered the common room, eyes glancing around and taking it all in quickly. She was there to speak to Bellatrix. Not exactly about anything in particular, but Beatrix had gone through the common room many times just to speak to a friend. There was merely a few people in the common room, so Bea's hair fell into a soft pink. If people asked her why she was there, well... They probably wouldn't since people mistaken the two all the time. Or she would shrug and say "Visiting?" It wasn't like she knew the password or anything. Beatrix respected the Slytherins too much to actually be able to get access whenever she wanted. She always waited for someone to come or go so she could slip through as if she was lucky enough to catch someone else opening the entrance.Beatrix began heading straight towards the girls' dorms, almost instinctively, when she bumped into someone who was clearly not watching where they were going. "Oh, um, I'm sorry," She paused, being the polite girl she was (Ha!). A simple confrontation. It could be quickly adverted, right? More like, a combination of the cold and his own unwillingness to roll out of bed and make the effort of bundling up and actually going out. Sometimes his own laziness drove him to sheer boredom. Laying in bed was doing absolutely nothing for him now that everyone else in the dorm was up, making noise, not letting him get anymore beauty sleep. He made a mental note to cover their beds in invisible itching powder later for revenge. They should know better by now. Alex didn't like being woken up.... especially not on weekends. Weekends were precious.... They didn't involve school.Mumbling curses and insults under his breath, Alex got up and tossed on some clothes. Whatever was on top of the pile of clothes in the drawer was the first thing he put on. Though, honestly, if he had his way he would just walk around in boxers all day. He had the body to pull it off, and he wasn't in the least bit ashamed to show it off to all those curious. But, alas, he wasn't too sure his mum would approve if she found out. It was a lot easier for her to communicate with him since, you know, she was the Headmistress and all. Alex took the tie to his school uniform. For a spit second he was about to put it on. In his sleepy state, it seemed like habit to just put it on. But he caught himself and shook his head. Tie still in hand, Alex looked at himself in the mirror. What if he, hmm..... Taking the the tie to his head, Alex wrapped it around. Finishing it off with a tie in the back, Alex examined himself in the mirror once again. Ooohhhh, me like. Yes, me like lots! With the tie around his head, he looked like he should be entering into a karate championship or something. He thought it made him look. even more devilishly handsome than he already was. Finally deciding he was decent, Alex left the dorm and made his way out into the common room. The moment he made his appearance, however...."Alex, there's a tie on your head!""Really? Gasp! Whatever shall I do now?!" Alex replied sarcastically, "Shut up and mind your own business, little prat, or else I'm gonna use this tie to shut you up..... Ow!"Not paying attention to where he was walking, Alex had bumped into a girl. Naturally his instincts were to get angry, tell her she needed glasses (even though he was the one who bumped into her), and then yell at her to remove herself from his presence.... But it just so happened he recognized this girl. It was Beatrix Dark, Bella's twin. He'd seen her sneaking in and out of Slytherin house on occasion, seen her around elsewhere, blah blah. Bottom line, she was cute.... he was bored... looks like he found his Saturday plans."Oh, um, I'm sorry,""Don't be, m'dear, if Tweetle Dumbprat hadn't distracted me then this little accident wouldn't have happened," Alex smiled, "What brings you down to our part of the castle today, Miss Dark?" How did she not notice him before? A huge, cutesy smile spread across the young Ravenclaw's face. Alexander Snark was one of the many reasons Beatrix adored the Slytherin house. For a while, he was basically the only reason. She had always had a fan-girl complex with the boy, swooning after every word he said. Even though he was friends with Devlin, Beatrix still couldn't resist following the older boy around. Of course... That complex had definitely died down a bit now that Beatrix had... Matured a lot more. Noticeably. But she was still his biggest fan, no matter what."What brings you down to our part of the castle today, Miss Dark?"Bea's eyes hesitantly flicked in the direction of the... "Tweedle Dumbprat". That was definitely a new one. But if the student never distracted Alex, well... Then he wouldn't be currently gracing Bea's presence. "I- Um... I was going to go visit my sister," She bit her lip. Beatrix was a bit thankful towards the Dumbprat... She didn't have to speak to Bellatrix at that very moment. Her sister could wait, could she not?But Beatrix had to remember one thing around Alexander Snark: She could not, in no way, lose control and go behind Vincent's back. Even though they weren't technically dating, they basically were. At least in Bea's silly head. She wasn't about to have another Erin Harper... Even though if she were to ever snog Alex, she highly doubted he would get angsty and psycho with her whenever she told him that they weren't going to be anything more than a snog. Like Erin. That boy was frightening in so many ways. Not that Alex wasn't. He was very frightening indeed. But something told Bea that he wouldn't be as... Emotionally invested in a snogging. Not that Bea was going to even snog him. Not that she didn't want to! Her eyes flicked around his face, beaming smile never leaving her cheeks. "I, um... Like the tie," She said, pointing up at his forehead, "It's... Different," and Beatrix always loved 'different'.And now what? She didn't want to stand there, staring up at the boy. He was probably already getting freaked out by her. There was only so much Beatrix Love that one could take. Of course, Vinnie didn't seem to bothered. But he was different. And, as mentioned before, Bea loved 'different'. "If you don't mind me asking, what'cha all dressed up for?" Beatrix tilted her head and gently flattened her dress. She wasn't coming off as desperate, was she? Even though she totally was. But Alex didn't need to know that. That cute smile that always graced Beatrix's face whenever she looked at him.... It was refreshing and a definite ego booster (not that Alex ever needed one of those). If he did say so himself, he had plenty of giggling fangirls running around after him, however, they were all just silly girls. Alex only bothered with those 'silly girls' if he was out and wanted some quick fun. But Bea was different, she was a unique person unto herself and Alex enjoyed people like that. They were fun, as supposed to the drone-like dull people which Hogwarts seemed to be full of lately."I- Um... I was going to go visit my sister," But of course. Alex knew that even when he asked the question. Why else would Bea be in the Slytherin common room? Surely there wasn't anyone else here she would be visiting? Or was there.... Though Alex was certainly the cause of much gossip and controversy, he was never one to keep up with it all. Especially not the 'who's involved with who' chain. He just didn't much care. He would much rather not know about a girl's love life when he was snogging her. If she had a boyfriend but was still snogging Alex, something had to be wrong with that relationship. "I, um... Like the tie...It's... Different,"Alex smiled as his hands went up to adjust the tie-wrap on his head. "Why, thank you. I like it too. You've always been a girl of impeccable taste. Tweetle Dumbprat could learn a thing or two from you," He winked, shoving his hands in the pockets of his jeans. It was Alex's goal in life to be different, be noticed. He was definitely an attention-seeker with an ego as bright as his smile."If you don't mind me asking, what'cha all dressed up for?" Dressed up? Him? Alex looked down at himself. Hadn't he just rolled out of bed and thrown on whatever was nearest to him? Did it really look that good? Dumb question, of course it looks good! I can make anything look good! It pays to be so handsome... He thought proudly to himself and looked back up at Beatrix."Would you buy it if I said that I wanted to look good in the presence of a Dark? You and Bella always look stunning. What is your secret?" Beatrix finally looked up, scrunching her face to show how confused she was.Not only was she a bit perplexed by someone actually liking her individual taste... Why exactly was Alexander Snark speaking to her? He probably had better things to do. Beatrix had always believed herself to be cute and fun, but she didn't exactly see why someone like Alex would be speaking to her. Perhaps if she were a tall, long-legged blonde like Maeve Whitman... But not a short, scrawny, pink-haired girl like Beatrix. But if she remembered right, Alexander didn't exactly need a reason to speak to any girl, did he? He could simply pick any girl he wanted and they'd probably go along with it.But... Beatrix promised herself long ago she wouldn't be considered the girl who "got around"."Would you buy it if I said that I wanted to look good in the presence of a Dark? You and Bella always look stunning. What is your secret?" No. But Beatrix beamed up at him anyways. Did Bellatrix have any special connections with Alexander? No... No she couldn't. She wouldn't. She would have told Beatrix, wouldn't she? "I..." Beatrix giggled and smoothed out her skirt, trying to think of what to say to the boy. "You're so sweet, Mr. Snark," She began, her voice as innocent as can be, "B- But... I don't know what to say..." Her eyes wandered around. What could she say, anyways? With other boys, Beatrix was quick to retaliate, never stuttered, flirted as freely as she wanted... But Alexander was practically a god in her eyes. And it didn't occur to her that he was possibly only speaking to her for attention. Because, why would anyone do that?"But... Why would you be trying to look good for me?" Or Bellatrix, for that matter, who was never really impressed with anything. But with Beatrix, she was easily impressed by Alexander already. There wasn't more he could really do. Plus, how the hell would Alex even know one of the twins would even be in the common room? "I assure you, I keep no secrets... But even then, a girl never tells," She winked at him, smile plastered to her face. She still felt a little uneasy being called 'stunning'. Why would he call her that? Then again, she was easily anxious and tended to over-think.Alexander Snark wasn't looking to hurt her, no way! But she had her doubts. Beatrix already had enough guy troubles as it was. Beatrix was cute. The way she giggled so easily at anything he said... the way she stuttered when he complimented her.... and the way she was looking at him confused now.... Alex thought it was cute. This wasn’t anything new to him since, he had this same effect on many girls, but on Beatrix it was actually cute rather than annoying. There were a lot of girls who would stare all googly-eyed at him giggling in high enough pitches that could shatter eardrums. He’d get love letters owled to him almost daily or snuck into his bag while he wasn’t paying attention. That stuff Alex considered annoying and stupid. He always walked past the giggling girls without giving them even a glance and would toss out any oddly-scented letter in his vicinity. But Bea didn’t come off to him as that excessive. She wasn’t a stunning beauty but she wasn’t ugly either. She was cute.“You bet your prefect badge ‘thanks’! I’ve seen you around, Beatrix, and I’m just saying.... I know good taste when I see it. All the other girls ‘round here wear the same stuff. It gets to the point where it just all blends together, right? So, it’s nice to see a pink-haired girl walking around wearing her clothes confidently,” Alex winked, his smile widening. And he meant that too. Yeah, sure, a lot of what came out of his mouth were words meant to charm but he meant what he said to Bea. "I...You're so sweet, Mr. Snark....B- But... I don't know what to say...But... Why would you be trying to look good for me?"Uh-oh.... Look good for her? Huh, yeah, he had sort of got himself caught with that one... Since, well, he didn’t know he’d be running into Bea and it had all really been coincidence and whatnot. Alex was just so used to spewing out flattery that he would often get cornered by his own words. You know that whole belief of filtering your words before you say them? Well, Alex wasn’t very good at that.... no, not at all. And he definitely felt the consequences because of this. Detentions and lectures weren’t Alex’s idea of fun things to be doing.“Why not? It’s not a crime to look good for a girl is it?” But despite this shortcoming of his, Alex was a Snark. He could think on his feet and get out of sticky situations. Skip to next post
