From many years of wrestling over the best seat at the dinner table (the result of 3 brothers and only 2 legs on the Christmas turkey) she has a very athletic build. Allie stands tall at 167cm (5'6") and walks with a slight air of pride. She tends to dress conservatively when she isn't in her neatly pressed school uniform; however, to some that haven't met her, this is seen as a sign of too much self-importance.

Personality Description:Upon first meeting someone, Allie remains somewhat reserved; she likes to assess an acquaintance before divulging too much of herself. However, upon getting to know someone, Allie opens up into a very outgoing, vivacious person. Allie has a fun-loving personality with a bit of attitude to match. She hardly ever raises her voice, but when the situation calls for it, her voice is one to command attention. Allie believes highly in commitment to studies, loyalty to friends, and being able to laugh at one's self; she sees these qualities in another as a sign of strength in one's character. Around those she cares about there is neither a hide nor hair of rudeness in her voice, unless, of course, they deserve it. And with loyalty being an important aspect of her personality, she will fight to defend her friends or herself, and for a girl, she isn't that bad of a duelist.
Allie is also very stubborn and hard-headed, but it plays into her favor as she has never delved into any sense of peer pressure and, if anything has always gone directly against it. This stubbornness is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of her less than beautiful qualities. The one thing that seems to put her in a less-than-chipper mood seems to be a fear of not being the best. Her brothers are all intelligent and it is commonplace in the Hargrove home to be celebrating one achievement or another. Allie, too, is intelligent, but her studies matter to her whereas it came so naturally to her brothers. To this day, Allie still feels a little put-out that she was the only person in the family to be in Ravenclaw and not Gryffindor. Nevertheless, she is out to prove that she can be not just as good, but better than her brothers.
History:Allie was born as the fourth child to Sage and Sophia Hargrove; her three older brothers, Kevin, Kieran, and Craig, were 21, 6, and 3, respectively. Allie’s heritage traced back through her French roots, through her mother, as well as her English roots, through her father. Many summers Allie spent with her grandparents in France, a house her eldest brother Kevin now lives in with his two children.
Being born and raised in the outskirts of London, Allie was quite anxious to go to Hogwarts. Every year that Kieran and Craig got onto the train, she begged and begged to follow. Then, at the age of 11, she received her own letter; she couldn't have been more excited. At the time, her brother Craig was a rising 4th year and her brother Kieran was a rising 7th year. Of course, her first night at Hogwarts was a shock for Allie. Her brothers waved at her from the Gryffindor House table as she slowly stepped up to the Sorting Hat. Unfortunately (though today, Allie considers it differently) it was a table on the other side of the room that cheered; the hat had shouted, "RAVENCLAW!" Her whole family (and it's red and gold glory) was shocked upon hearing. Allie wrote home that night that she wanted to come home; her mother (being raised in France and not having ever attended Hogwarts) convinced her to stay and promised to convince Allie's father to allow some Ravenclaw memorabilia on the Gryffindor-clad walls.
Despite this minor setback (as Allie initially saw it), she fell in love with Hogwarts, as well as with a few people in it. Her studies and her friendships were something she took very seriously, despite not being in the noble house her father loved most. This year is Allie's first year being the only Hargrove in school, but she is ready for the independence (after all, having older brothers watching over tends to get in the way of talking to anyone of the male gender.) She is eager to show her brothers, and her father, that a silly sorting hat didn't shout "WEAKNESS!" but rather the wonderfully intelligent "RAVENCLAW!"
How Do You Fit Into Your House?:Allie is an incredibly intelligent character and quite a bookworm. She is studious and enjoys learning, while still finding time to have fun and support her house.
Writing Sample:Show your character in a scene that illustrates the
best and worst aspects of their personality. Include action, dialog and thought.((This sample goes under an assumption that Allie is quidditch captain of Ravenclaw; I understand that this isn't the case on these boards but I figured it would still serve as a good example of her best and worst aspects of her personality.))
"You're going to pay for that one..." A hex flew from the end of the boy's wand; blue sparks hit another boy, clad in green robes, straight in the chest. The boy was covered in mud, evident of an earlier quidditch practice, but that didn't matter much to him. All that mattered now was making sure this Slytherin knew not to mess with him again.
Despite the rain, Allie had insisted on practicing. They were up to play Slytherin at the end of the week and, while both teams remained undefeated, she knew it was going to be a very tough match. As a bargaining tool (even though, being captain, she didn't need a bargaining tool) she offered to clean everyone's brooms if they showed up and played hard; they, of course, took her up on it.
Leaving the locker room, she heard shouts coming from the edge of the grounds. The sun was falling, but the grounds were still lit enough for her to see who was shouting--and who cast the first spell--one of her own teammates. Allie ran over to them, drawing her wand as she went. Her teammate stood tall, wand drawn, while the other boy lay on the ground in twitches. Allie took a large step between them with her own wand drawn more out of her own protection.
"I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU!" She yelled with little regards towards who heard her; despite a normally calm demeanor, Allie's temper took over. With dinner already being served, she knew few people would be on the grounds anyway. "We play Slytherin on Saturday and all you care about is petty house rivalry!" Allie knew that if word of this altercation got to a professor's ears, she would be playing without her starting seeker and that was something she could not have.
"But...but I..." Allie cut him off.
"I don't care why you did it!" Allie yelled; she could hear the boy behind her coming to. Turning to him, she raised her wand and performed a simple counter-curse, easing the boy's return to the conscious world. Dropping her voice, she turned back to her own teammate, and whispered threateningly into his ear, "And, I swear to Merlin, if you ever do something like this again...we will not be playing with you anymore; I can train someone else."
Allie turned to the rest of the team who had stumbled out of the locker rooms. They all wore faces of confusion, as hearing Allie yell out of anger was a rare event. Allie's temper, however, had fallen. Smiling, she said, "Sorry about that, guys," she cut her eyes at the offending teammate, "Despite the rain, we had a really good practice and I think we're going to have more than a good shot at taking on Slytherin this Friday. We'll have one more practice tomorrow, same time, and we'll be ready."
Sum up your character in one paragraph:Allie is a fun-loving character, but she takes her studies very seriously. She inherited her mother's brains and her father's wit and uses them to improve her studies and her friendships. Despite a fierce desire to be the pride and joy of Sage and Sophia Hargrove, Allie cares for her brothers deeply and though they are scattered throughout Eastern Europe, they remain close.
